## What is Bitbook?

Your whole act in one notebook. Bitbook is where stand-up comedians write material, build set lists, run the show from the stage, and find out which bits keep landing. No account to create, and it runs on every Apple device.

EVERY BIT, IN ORDER
Capture material the moment it hits, add labels, and find any line again with full-text search. Keep more than one version of a bit and switch between them. Mark a word or phrase and keep alternates for it, a different punchline or a tag, each with its own track record. On iPad, write or draw by hand alongside a bit with Apple Pencil.

BUILD YOUR SETS
Drag bits into set lists, reorder them as the act evolves, and see the running time at a glance. Your set lists follow you to iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch, and print out when you want one on paper.

PRACTICE WITH PURPOSE
Run a timed practice on a bit or a whole set against a target length, advance bit by bit, and get a breakdown of where you ran long or short. Record yourself and play it back.

WATCH THE CLOCK, FULLSCREEN
Live Show keeps elapsed time and time remaining in front of you on stage and cues you with haptics as your time runs out. Your set list sits under the timer and expands mid-show if you need it, and one tap records the show in audio or video. Or run it from your wrist: Apple Watch has the timer, the cues, and your set list, and can record the show on its own.

KNOW WHICH BITS KEEP LANDING
Log every show with its venue, date, set list, and notes, and keep your venues and bookers in one place. Rate each bit from one to five stars, and the ratings build into a track record, one per bit, across every show you log.

HEAR IT BACK
Show and practice recordings become searchable, editable text, transcribed on your device. Find Laughs marks the laughs so you can jump straight to them instead of scrubbing the whole tape. Trim any recording to the part worth keeping and export it as audio or video.

GET A SECOND OPINION
Share a bit, a set list, or a show recording with people you choose, and their comments come back inside the app. Or pitch a bit to another comic: they keep it or pass, and a kept bit lands in their library credited to you.

START A BIT FROM ANYWHERE
Start a bit from Siri, Shortcuts, a widget, Control Center, or the Lock Screen, and what you said is already text when you open it. Bring in what you have already written, whether a text file, a paste from Notes, or photos of your notebook pages: Bitbook cuts it into bits, and you review the split before anything is saved.

YOUR MATERIAL STAYS YOURS
No accounts, no analytics, no trackers, and no Bitbook server. Everything lives on your device and syncs only through your own iCloud. Everything the app does with your material uses Apple's frameworks: on your device, or in Apple's Private Cloud Compute for a request that needs more than your device can do or when you choose it. Your whole library exports as one .bitbook archive and imports straight back, so it can always leave with you.

EVERYWHERE YOU PERFORM
A true native app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple Vision Pro, and Apple TV, with widgets, App Lock, CarPlay for listening back on the drive home, and iCloud sync across all of them. Make it yours with themes, accent colors, the font your bits are set in, and alternate app icons.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-09-30

Bringing in material you've already written is much simpler. Scan notebook pages, choose files, or paste, and Bitbook finds the bits, even across divider lines, numbered lists, and gaps between jokes. Remove, merge, or split them before anything is saved, pick up suggested titles, and undo the whole import if you change your mind.

Also new:
• Pitch and Ask for Feedback send the version of a bit you're looking at, and later updates keep sending that version.
• Bits without a title show their opening line.
• A new Monogram app icon in Settings > Appearance.
• Large libraries scroll and search using far less memory.
• When a recording can't start, Bitbook tells you whether it needs the camera or the microphone.
• Plus fixes throughout, especially on iPad.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-21
