## What is Bitcoin Puzzle 71?

Bitcoin Puzzle 71 is a Bitcoin Puzzle solver that runs entirely on your iPhone or iPad.
Select a puzzle, tap Start, and watch it scan private keys in real time — no
internet connection required.

WHAT ARE BITCOIN PUZZLES?
The Bitcoin Puzzles are a public mathematical challenge created in 2015. Each
puzzle is a Bitcoin address holding a real BTC reward, solvable only by finding
its private key within a known numeric range. They are an open experiment in
cryptography and number theory — anyone can attempt them.

HOW IT WORKS
Cacatoid uses a native C++ engine built on the secp256k1 library — the same
library used by Bitcoin itself. For each candidate key, the app derives the
public key, computes the Hash160, encodes it in Base58Check, and compares it
against the target address. All computation happens on-device.

PERFORMANCE
The engine is written in optimized C++ and compiled with -O2. On a modern
iPhone it scans over 40,000 keys per second, running continuously in the
background while you use other apps.

WHEN A MATCH IS FOUND
The app stops the search immediately and displays the private key in hex and
WIF format, the Bitcoin address, and the puzzle number. You
private key with a single tap.
