Since joining, I’ve made heaps of progress and whenever I have a question, there’s always helpful advice and support available. Easily one of the best decisions I’ve made. Highly recommend!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — The app is not quite there

*2026-06-18, version 1.0.18*

The AI works, but it is not very accurate. Everytime I try to talk to the AI description, it says connection is lost and doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Not worth the download

*2026-06-09, version 1.0.17*

Just a money grabbing app not even a side to try the app useless

### 2/5 — Unable to sign up/in with Apple ID

*2026-06-12, version 1.0.18*

Really wanted to give it ago but getting “Error
Connection lost. Check your internet and retry.” When using Apple ID for 2 days in a row.

### 2/5 — Gets a bit confused

*2026-06-12, version 1.0.18*

My daily intake says it’s 2474cals but I hit 2015 then tells me that I’m 459cals over my target

### 2/5 — It’s ok

*2026-05-01, version 1.0.15*

I found the app to be very glitchy and inaccurate a lot of the time. Kept having to update the info with the amount of protein and cals etc. The idea is great but not quite there yet, especially not for a paid app

### 3/5 — Great, space for improvement

*2026-06-14*

3 stars because it definitely does what it’s intended to do. And at the level required to (with a bit of patience sometimes) get you the results you desire. However It does have a long way to go from a user experience point of view.

By reading these reviews these issues may not apply to everyone, but if they apply to 1 (me) then they surely apply to more.

1. The voice reading doesn’t work for me, hasn’t since I downloaded it (trying deleting and re downloading) no avail. Not the end of the world but sometimes I just don’t want to read, maybe been a big day or I’m in the middle of stuff and just want it read out to me

2. It confuses itself very easily. You need to be very specific with your wording, but sometime even then I assumes you’ve had something when you were simply trying find out whether something was gonna be worth eating or not. You tell it to correct the mistake is say it does but sure enough it keeps adding that in, so now you spend the rest of the day correcting it for every meal so you can accurately see what you have left.

3. If you start correcting it too much it can start pulling numbers out of nowhere and giving you very random and clear inaccurate numbers throwing all your tracking off.

And honestly number 2 and 3 can give it a very ChatGPT kinda vibe sometimes

### 3/5 — App is useful and cool but

*2026-02-10, version 1.0.13*

The problem is the price is insane and ChatGPT can do what it does with pretty similar levels of accuracy. The price is just too high for what it is. Chat GPT can do everything BiteBro does if you just ask it to, you can upload photos of food etc. it may be slightly less accurate but at the end of that day your saving yourself hundreds of dollars so it’s just not really worth it. A few dollars a week and I’d happily pay for the extra accuracy and I’d like to support Chris because I really like him but I just as a young student can’t justify the price, which sucks.

### 3/5 — Huge potential if it became more user-specific

*2026-01-13*

Bitebro is genuinely impressive when it comes to recognising foods and estimating calories and macros from photos. That part works really well and makes tracking feel easy and fast. Where it falls short is personalisation. At the moment you only select a broad goal like fat loss or muscle gain, but there’s no option to enter things like weight, height, age, activity level, or specific goals. Because of that, the food recommendations and feedback feel very generic and not actually tailored to me. I’d love to see this become more scientifically accurate and properly individualised based on the user’s personal stats and goals, because the app has so much potential if the personalisation improved.

### 4/5 — Latest update

*2026-08-21, version 1.0.21*

App is great but since the latest update today the AI has been completely wrong and tracking things wrong such as only calculating the bread part of a sandwich without adding the chicken or anything else.

Is there going to be a patch in place?

### 4/5 — BiteBro Review

*2026-06-10, version 1.0.18*

App works great and makes tracking calories and macros so much easier. The AI on some of the photos needs improvement though, thought a South Melbourne Dim Sim was a fried chocolate pudding😭. Dont ask me why Im eating a Dim Sim I been dirty bulking for 25 years. Seriously though, besides some corrections with the AI and the photo analysation the app is great and highly recommend to anyone wanting to start tracking their calories!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Wasn’t making any progress till I downloaded this app

*2026-08-28*

If u wanna lose weight make sure to go on a calorie deficit and count ur calories

### 5/5 — The Best Calorie Tracking App I’ve Used

*2026-08-21*

Bitebro is a fantastic app. I’ve tried a few calorie tracking apps before, but this is easily the simplest and most accurate one I’ve used. Being able to simply take a photo of your food as a whole meal, and have it calculate the calories makes tracking so much easier.

The Ask feature is probably my favourite part. You can ask it anything about your food or nutrition and it gives you a simple answer that actually makes sense. It will also suggest small changes you can make to improve your meal if needed or slightly tweak to add more food for the same calories.

As a retired professional boxer, I really wish I had something like this when I was fighting. It would have been a massive help with tracking my food, managing my weight and preparing for fights.

I genuinely think this app is fantastic and would highly recommend giving it a go.

### 5/5 — Bitebro A+

*2026-08-17, version 1.0.19*

Top rated as iv never known how to eat healthy or what foods done what. Iv kept under my cal count for the day and felt fuller for longer.

Love the app it’s near accurate bite bro has done something that’ll help many.

### 5/5 — BITEBROS THE BEST

*2026-08-13, version 1.0.19*

Best calorie count app ever

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-08-02, version 1.0.19*

Very easy to use, helped me a lot and made it so simple. Definitely would recommend.

### 5/5 — Absolute Legend

*2026-07-30, version 1.0.19*

Met chris the other day and he is genuinely the most genuine dude in the world exactly who he is one camera in person friendly funny and just a stand up guy never forget meeting the legend himself

### 5/5 — Easy peasy

*2026-07-23, version 1.0.19*

This has to be the easiest calorie and protein tracker I’ve ever used. Fairly close to actual macros on items I know the breakdown on. Also the alternative recommendation feature is incredible and provides great other options which aren’t just derivatives of cardboard and water

### 5/5 — I love this app so much 🥹

*2026-07-19*

I’ve downloaded probably 10+ different tracking apps, and I’ve made one of my own. None of them were as convenient, user friendly, or as delightful to use as this one.
The app is super easy to navigate with only 3 menu’s, each with their own purpose. The first one is a camera that scans the food your eating and logs the macros, the second is a language model AI you can talk to and ask to log meals (if you think it’d be easier than using the camera) and ask for tips/advice for tracking calories and getting to your goals. The third menu has your target macros, and your current tracked macros aswell as your weight, sleep, etc.
Every time you start a conversation with the ai it plays one of THE Chris William famous lines and also when you ask it to log calories it’ll tell you how many Krispy Kreme’s it is.
This app is 100% worth downloading and I’m so glad I got it 🥹

### 5/5 — Gotta be in the Top 5 best macro tracking.

*2026-07-19, version 1.0.19*

5 star review.

### 5/5 — Best calorie tracking app

*2026-07-18*

I’ve had this app for a few days now and it’s already shown me how much better it is compared to the other apps out there. Bite bro includes a personal AI assistant that helps you get to your goals (and of course showing how many krispy’s are in what you eating) and also comes with a scanner so if your on the go all you need to do is snap a pic of your food and it will break down all the macros of what your eating. Honestly this app is worth every cent.
