## What is BiteSage?

Photograph your meal. See what you ate in seconds. Fix the estimate in two taps.

Most calorie counter apps give you one confident number for a photo they cannot actually measure. BiteSage does the opposite: it shows a calorie range, tells you how sure it is about the dish and the portion separately, and asks when something matters — "was the rice cooked with butter?"

WORKS WITHOUT A CONNECTION
Over 300 everyday foods live inside the app. Type "2 eggs and a slice of bread" and BiteSage answers instantly from that catalogue: no network, no waiting, no AI quota spent. The camera and the harder sentences use AI; simple things do not need it.

BUILT TO BE HONEST
Estimating a meal from one photo is genuinely hard. Portion depth, hidden oil, sauce and cooking method are invisible to a camera. So BiteSage never pretends. You get a range, two confidence scores — one for what the food is, one for how much — and a fast way to say "actually, it was half that."

PORTIONS IN REAL UNITS
A bowl, a ladle, a slice, a handful, a piece. Every portion tells you what it weighs, so "1 slice" is never a mystery: a slice of bread is 30 g and a slice of watermelon is 280 g, and the app says so before you choose.

FOOD FROM ANYWHERE
Ramen, tacos, curry, bibimbap, mezze, feijoada, kebab, pasta and sushi — not just the packaged goods that fill most food databases. Home cooking from around the world is in the catalogue, not an afterthought.

TARGETS THAT ADAPT
Your calorie and protein targets follow your real weight trend, not a formula you set once in January. BiteSage always asks before changing anything, and on the free plan your targets stay where you put them.

THIRTY-FOUR LANGUAGES
The whole app, not just the buttons — including Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi and both written forms of Chinese.

YOUR DATA, YOUR CHOICE
Separate switches for every permission. Meal photos are stored only if you say so, and deleted after analysis if you prefer. Export everything or delete your account from inside the app. Health data is never used for advertising.

FREE AND PREMIUM
Free covers manual logging, barcode scanning, the offline catalogue, daily calories and macros, weight and water tracking, and a limited number of AI scans. Premium adds unlimited photo analysis, voice and natural-language logging, adaptive targets, weekly insights, the full recipe library and the AI coach. Exporting or deleting your data is never behind a paywall.

Korean, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Romanian, Croatian, Greek, Ukrainian, Hebrew, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malay, Catalan, Traditional Chinese and European Portuguese join the twelve we started with.

Also in this update: the app now picks the right language when your device asks for a regional variant, and the store listing is available in your language too.
