BiteWindow turns weather, solunar timing, and species behavior into one simple daily score, your BiteScore, so you know before you leave the house whether today is worth the trip, and exactly when the two-hour bite window opens.

Most fishing apps give you raw data and make you guess. BiteWindow answers the whole question: when to go, what to throw, and why.

BiteWindow 1.1 is a big accuracy and reliability update.

- Sunrise, sunset, and solunar windows are now astronomically accurate
- BiteScore now factors in real precipitation and an estimated water temperature
- Catch log entries, settings changes, and saved spots persist reliably
- Bite alerts rebuilt: one alert per EPIC or GOOD morning with that day's score, refreshed as the forecast changes
- Free trial reminders now arrive before the trial ends
- The Coach gives direct answers about bait, timing, spots, and weather on every device
- The home screen widget refreshes right after the app updates its forecast
- Nearby waters now use your current location for the local score
- Many smaller fixes and improvements

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-04

The AI Coach got a lot more careful about what it says.

- The coach now hands off to real resources for anything medical or personal, instead of guessing.
- It no longer answers questions about seasons, limits, or licensing. Those rules vary by water and by state, so it points you to your local authority.
- Answers about your BiteScore, conditions, and best window now come from the app's own computed data rather than the model's guesswork, so the coach and the Today screen always agree.
- It knows what BiteWindow actually does, so questions about the app get real answers.
- Cleaner replies, with stray formatting characters removed.

Also: the Apple Weather attribution now appears on every screen that uses weather data.
