Unfortunately something happened and my app that I was working on now will not start up. I’m not sure how to get out of the state it is in other than starting from scratch. The app either needs a revert to last good build or a way to exit out of it trying to start up the app so I can tell it to fix it. Is there somewhere I can submit bug reports or suggestions? UPDATE: I found the recovery mode. Fingers crossed that I can recover my app! Thank you! ### 2/5 — Cool but frustrating *2026-01-01* I know I’m on the free version but when I I use up my five daily tokens just to get it to fix something that it keeps telling me it fixed but didn’t really it is very frustrating. I’m not sure how this could be implemented but if the user is asking for the same thing it shouldn’t count towards their token count. ### 3/5 — Backend failures *2025-12-02, version 0.1.18* In general I am happy with this app. However, The calls to Anthropic are failing approx 40% of the time. Some days even higher. I have been using it multiple times per day. My concern is that as a user who has purchased more credits to finish my app. That I am paying for calls to Anthropic that fail. Nice for devs to clarify how the credits are consumed. ### 4/5 — Shows real promise *2025-11-27, version 0.1.18* This app is really cool but at the moment it can only make iPhone size apps, will be a whole lot better when it supports full screen iPad apps. My only other issue is that new features are slow to get added. On the plus side publishing to AppStore Connect is a breeze, publishing versions is awesome, one click and it’s there! Overall this app shows incredible potential. ### 2/5 — Love the idea, but needs more stability. *2025-11-01, version 0.1.15* I first started using the free version and was so impressed that I decided to subscribe to the paid version. However, I soon became disappointed in many aspects. When the code was short, everything worked smoothly and quickly, but as the code grew longer, the response time increased, and errors that were said to be fixed kept recurring. What once felt inspiring has gradually turned into frustration. As a result, I still haven’t been able to develop an app at the level I hoped for, and I regret subscribing to the paid version. For now, I believe it’s necessary to extend the free usage period or provide additional features to improve the AI’s performance, even within the paid version. Alternatively, I would appreciate an option to switch to a different AI API. I will continue using the free version and promise to update my review and rating once I experience meaningful improvements. I sincerely thank the developers for creating such a great app and for their continuous efforts to make it better. ### 2/5 — Bad support *2025-10-23* Been trying to reach support for weeks no luck with how to update updates to the App Store ### 2/5 — Not worth the hype. *2025-10-10, version 0.1.10* I found out about it through YouTube and its sounded revolutionary, but really it is don’t get me wrong. On the downside, just to test your app, yourself, in TestFlight it costs 20/month so it’s really counter-productive. It truly has potential, but with the modern app boom going on, developer greed is rampant. BitRig is Great if you have a cushy salary, but if don’t, it’s really not worth your time or money. ### 4/5 — Good app *2025-10-08* I have to give credit where credit is due! This app is amazing! Mixing Bitrig with ChatGPT prompts will give you an amazing app! My only issue is bitrig keeps says “No internet connection” even when I’m connected to the internet. Thanks again! ### 2/5 — Hopefully but not yet *2025-10-07* I am getting ZERO support. Tried X, Youtube, and support in the app with NO RESPONSE yet. The devs need a discord or someplace where they can be responsive to problems and or questions. LOVE that this is generating SwiftCode which a huge plus for me. Recently tried using the Foundation models per a Youtube video released this morning and I keep getting a note that iOS 26 is needed to run them. I am running iOS 26 and am running on an iPhone 17 Pro Max and an M4 iPad Pro. Fingers crossed the devs up their support game SOON! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Only makes basic apps *2026-01-18, version 0.1.18* Does not handle complexity and will create code messes, if you can’t one shot your app you are just wasting your time and money, sorry, I want to like it but it just can’t do anything other than to do lists or calculators ### 1/5 — Don’t bother *2025-12-23, version 0.1.18* This has to be one of the most annoyingly bad coding models I’ve used yet. If I was a cynic, I’d say they actually made it to burn through your credits without ever generating anything useful. It’s happy to think deeply when debugging, but more often than not it introduces further errors rather than fixing the one you asked it to. I’m no stranger to using agentic coding tools to code applications and can honestly recommend getting a subscription to Claude or even GitHub Copilot rather than bitrig. Fantastic concept let down by poor execution. ### 1/5 — Claude did better on its own *2025-11-10* I tried to create an app with it and it kept failing in the same issue. I ran out of free messages now it wants me to pay to keep going. I don’t want to pay given what I saw with my first 5 messages. No evidence that the app would get better after feedback. I went to Claude (whic I believe the app uses) and got much better results by just prompting Claude!! ### 1/5 — Really bad *2025-11-07, version 0.1.15* To be fair most vibe coding platforms are bad, but this one has gone from bad to a horrendously bad, failed messages repeatedly, unable to perform simple tasks now even without messing things up, I’m about to unsubscribe because it has gotten to the stage of being an absolute joke, there’s better vibe coding platforms out there, but if you really want to code use Xcode on a Mac, because you can never submit a bitrig app to the App Store anyway, test flight yes, App Store no, so why bother. ### 1/5 — Not ready for anything mildly complex *2025-10-28, version 0.1.14* The app does not perform adequately. I was excited to be able to vibe code purely within a UI without having to touch any architecture or code bases. Every app that I tried to build just eventually devolved into a spiraling series of bugs where every attempted fix just introduced more problems. Bitrig’s AI simply isn’t good enough to perform as advertised. ### 1/5 — Crashes *2025-10-11, version 0.1.10* Crashes ### 1/5 — App crashed 4x *2025-10-11* Yeah, I download the app and I put in my prompt and the app crashed. I thought my prompt might’ve been too long so I put in a shorter prompt and I crashed again. I put in another prompt that was also shorter and it crashed again. And I repeated the process one more time shorter prompt still got the same result of crashing. None of the chats that I have built my app have done anything. It just has the loading ring whenever I go to the chat. ### 1/5 — App crashes *2025-10-09* App is always crashing when I load an existing project. I was able to build a couple of very simple apps, but I was unable to build one that was able to open a text file and display the contents of the file. This seems like it would be quite easy. What sets Bitrig apart is that it feels less like a chatbot and more like a patient, senior engineer sitting next to you. It can hold context, reason about your project, and help you iterate when things break (which they do, a lot, when you’re learning by doing). I’ve used it to build: • a local accessibility-focused transport app, • a working hours / timesheet app with real logic, • and several smaller utility projects that I’d never have attempted without this tool. Yes, it’s powerful — but more importantly, it’s empowering. Bitrig lowers the barrier in a way that reminds me of how great Apple tools let non-experts create surprisingly polished things. If you have ideas and curiosity but don’t want to spend years learning to code before you can build something useful, this is absolutely worth your time. ### 5/5 — I built an app *2025-12-09, version 0.1.18* Bitrig inspired me to pick back up an incomplete project. Within a few prompts I had a great UI and a working framework with the latest Swift frameworks. I can put it together a big rig and big rig right now has a challenge, but I can see where it’s gone, so I build it in here. I don’t even have any luck getting it to Test Flight - mini errors all over there. But believe me this is not a complaint. It’s new. I understand what you guys are doing. Still excited. It would be great if it could spit out a project file for us finalize it but if nothing else I can show clients before I invested opening up listing what I plan to make four of them. I built an excellent app to accomplish each of these issues in virtually no time at all. One of them was perfect on first pass, the second worked, but I tweaked it several times to add additional capabilities. I’m all in now. ### 5/5 — LLM’s Finally Found its Killer App *2025-10-08, version 0.1.9* So it took a bit of messing around and PATIENCE with the 5 message per day limit to begin with. I got caught up a few days trying to fix a problem when I should have taken a few steps back and tried a new angle. I’ve created a bunch of purpose built Apps in an instant, like a bunch of choose your own adventure books for a 3yo, a Maze Tilt game with multiple levels, more purpose specific calendar and I was enjoying myself so much I’ve upgraded to Pro and working on an Adventure game using Apples various kits. So be patient, learn, and work through it to creat something fun, useful or both. Don’t ask it to fix the same problem over and over wasting your daily limit.
