Lies about "approving everyone"... then lies about why they decline people with CCJs *2026-08-25, version 11.3.3* I downloaded Bits because its advertising explicitly claimed it “approves everyone”. After providing my details and verifying my identity, my subscription was declined, simply because I have an old CCJ. Bits then falsely claimed this was for “legal reasons”, and when challenged replied saying that their phrase 'approve everyone' (and I quote "should not be understood as overriding an eligibility assessment." If an 'eligibility assessment' means you don’t approve everyone, then advertising that you “approve everyone” is just lies. I am certainly legally eligible. It's just that they've decided for commercial reasons I'm not eligible for their subscription. So how is that "approving everyone?" And then just trying to weasel their way out of it is just pathetic, particularly as they are gaslighting me into believing there is a legal reason they cannot take me on as a customer, when that is just another lie. ### 2/5 — Shocking now *2026-08-18, version 11.3.3* At first I had a small improvement but then I had a medical condition that made me struggle with the payments they cancelled my card yet continued to charge me for the account also your charged for the account but u dont used the catalog account just the card part no help at all the app says clear ur account and apply for new card yet customer service says no chance what help are you ### 3/5 — App Crashes a lot *2026-08-14, version 11.3.3* Every couple of weeks the app doesn’t load, logs me out and says “verification code sent to phone” which never arrives. I have to uninstall the app, redownload and log back in. It’s annoying and makes me not want to use the app. ### 1/5 — TRAPPED INTO PAYING MONTH AFTER MONTH *2026-08-13* They make it sound simple and easy: just pay X amount every month to improve your credit. But BE CAREFUL. One you agree to pay that money every month you CANNOT get out of it. They are not money lenders but they will behave like them when you miss a payment. I was paying £30 a month to improve my credit. After using it for a while, I decided to stop. I never borrowed any money from them or took out any kind of loan, but nonetheless, I am STUCK. They continue trying to take payments from my account, and customer service won’t help. They treat you as though you’re trying to stop off a credit card or a loan. This is supposed to be a credit improvement service, yet they treat you like debtor when you simply want to stop using it. BE VERY CAREFUL, this is not like paying a subscription - you are forced into an agreement regardless of whether you borrow money or not. **Developer response:** Hi, Thank you for your message. What I do have issue is with being further charged £9.99 for a money building app that said would increase my credit limit for my credit card. It hasn’t increased it nor is there way to cancel the subscription. I’m sure under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers (DMCC) Act 2024 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 there should be an option to “click to cancel “ so the fact there isn’t is really sketchy and makes me now feel quite insecure about using Bits as a company if they are skirting consumer and financial laws. I have been paying since Feb for something that has done nothing that it said it would and I want that money back.
