### 3.4 — 2026-08-17

- New tap-to-move option allows you to play even when you can't get outside to run around.
- Swipe-to-turn allows you to play even if you can't stand and turn to maneuver.
- Fatigue tracker helps ensure that tap-to-movers are playing fairly against players who are running around and can get out of breath.
- And finally, introducing a NEW CARD! The Forge card is a booster structure that improves the steel in your cannon, giving a stacking 5% range increase.

Lots of great new stuff in this version:
- Performance and reliability improvements.
- There's now an onboarding tutorial that'll teach first timers how to play.
- Learn how any card works by long-pressing it to bring up its dossier.
- Orphaned supply lines can be resupplied by the reinforcements card for additional impact, but...
- ...Orphaned structures which run out of supplies are abandoned and destroyed three minutes after they run out of supplies, if not resupplied.
- Finally, introducing a NEW CARD: The Science Academy is a booster structure that gives a stacking 5% damage increase to your artillery's shots.

Lots of changes for this version...
- All features free for all players. Subscribe to support ongoing development if you like, but the game and all its features are free!
- The bot is now intelligent and a fun challenge to play, rather than a simple training algorithm. Play a game of any length against the bot.
- Improved game start flow. Get a game going against a person or the bot in seconds!
- Everyone gets all the advanced cards, including Aerial Recon, Signal Jammer, TNT, Reinforcements, and Engineers!
- And everyone gets a new advanced card, Quarry which gives forts 5% damage resistance bonus. More cards coming soon!
- Finally, lots of bug fixes and improvements from a big code refactor!

### 3.0 — 2026-06-23

This is a big battlefield update for Bivouac.

The old compact radar view has been replaced with a full-screen battlefield view, giving you more room to read the fight, follow supply lines, track artillery range, and make faster tactical decisions.

We’ve also added a new final-fort warning. When your last standing fort is close to destruction, Bivouac now makes the danger impossible to miss. If you still have forts available to place, that’s your moment: move, deploy, and keep your command alive before the battlefield slips away.

Matches where either player has an active subscription now unlock a new left-draw action deck with five tactical cards:

- Aerial Recon: temporarily zoom out for a wider view of the fight
- Signal Jammer: disrupt your opponent at a critical moment
- Reinforcements: repair nearby damaged structures
- TNT: damage structures in a blast radius around your position
- Engineers: clear destroyed structures from the battlefield

This release also includes performance and reliability improvements across combat feedback, audio, vibration, match sync, and long-game battlefield cleanup. Heavy firefights should feel smoother, matches should hold together better, and the battlefield should stay easier to read as the action builds.

Last, but not least, we've added optional notifications, so that you can find out when someone is looking for a match and jump right into the game to challenge them!
