Sync function does not work properly. I have three devices and although all instructions are followed it never syncs via iCloud on my iPhone. Very frustrating. And no response from developer to fix. **Developer response:** Hi, I was reading over some old reviews and came across yours. I looked in my emails and did not find any emails from a Cliff about the Device Sync feature. I always respond quickly to emails (typically less than 24 hours) so perhaps your email did not make it here. I would recommend you go into the Prefs screen within the app and tap on the Email the Author link and contact me that way. The only caveat is that this requires that you use Apple Mail (or have an email account set-up with Apple Mail) to send an email. Recently, I've noticed that it is calculating miles incorrectly and I have absolutely no way to contact you all through the app to find out why this is happening. I'm sorry, but I don't know of any other way then to give this review so that I can get some assistance. If you could provide me away to make sure that the mileage from my home to my office or to where I'm going is correct I would appreciate it. I am not the most efficent person throughout the year and have a tendency to put things (reciepts, bookeeping, mileage, etc) til tax time. And that is when I hit this app hard. It saves me every time. I really like the interface, the organization, and the ability to sync my entries across all my ios, and macos devices. When I am on the go, this is invalueable. The app is fairly priced, and the subscriptions (drive tracking, and human-decoding of reciepts) are not badly priced either. Since the beginning of the year it has crashed every time I go to take a photo receipt. I can’t find support online or through the App Store. I renewed my subscription early thinking that would fix it. I’ve restarted my phone. Nothing changes. **Developer response:** Whenever you have a problem please do the following. 1. Open the Prefs screen within the app 2. Tap the "Email the Author" field. This will allow you to email the author of the app directly and get a resolution to any issue you might have. This is inappropriate. If you purchase a product and the developers stop updating it to force you to buy a subscription, they should allow you to continue to use the app. ### 1/5 — No support or instructions *2023-02-25* It works great until you actually want to use the information. But then when I try to upgrade it tells me that I don’t have access to in-app purchases. But I am the owner of the account so I have no idea what that means. So I have an app I paid for and can no longer use it. Will have to switch to a different expense tracker. **Developer response:** I realize this review was posted some time ago so I hope you have contacted us regarding this and have since had it resolved. I would have recommended contacting Apple about your Apple account as the message you received indicates a problem with your account. I would like to say outright that posting a review does not help you resolve the problem. This is because there is no way to contact you other than posting a response here. I know this because when you attempt to subscribe our app requests from the App Store to make this purchase. If there is a problem the App Store will return the message you described. It is that simple. We are however not told the extent of the problem. Because Apple handles all aspects of the purchase I hope you spent a moment and contacted Apple about your account. One last thing which is curious. You say that you have an app you paid for which you can not use. Actually, the app is a free download. It is true you are required to subscribe to use it after using it for a bit of time but clearly you have not reached that step. Very few, if any, apps have this level of thoughtful support. The time taken to fully answer my queries over the years has me wishing that oh so many other developers would embody the principle of supporting existing customers a priority, contrasted with just a new shiny object. The ongoing improvements reflect a real understanding of how this is used in actual situations, as opposed to having to accommodate limitations of an app that appears to come from a lab environment.
