Great app, makes navigating sounds and patterns a lot easier. Really would be great if they could add volume controls for the tones along with the ability to control the EFX for each individual layer.   And would be helpful to be able to toggle the bass line on and off in the patterns.  Other than that it has been very useful.

This app does not talk to the BK-7m. Which is a great shame, because the BK-7m has clunky, analogue-based controls.  It is also cumbersome to set up and slow to control when playing.  This app would have made using the BK7 somewhat easier.

Why doesn't BK-7m work wirelessly with the Roland wireless adapter?? Very strange you would release a wireless BK app thats not wireless :(  Is this a bug or will it be in an update?

PRO: Ottimo!!! Aggiunge un ampio display touch al bk-7m ma soprattutto consente di inserire i titoli delle performance da iPad. 
SUGGERIMENTI:
Integrerei nell'app  un mixer dei vari strumenti e di tutte le parti per regolazioni live, mute track, change instrument al volo -  funzioni non presenti nel BK-7M.

Ich habe ein Roland bk-7m-Soundmodul. Dieses, bereits 2011 erschienene Soundmodul ist in Bezug auf Preis und Leistung auf dem Markt immer noch konkurrenzlos. Durch die BK-Partner-App lässt es sich hervorragend mit einem iPad steuern.
Viele Funktionen, die sonst nur umständlich am Gerät selber durchgeführt werden könnten, lassen sich über die App steuern. Gerade bei dem kleinen Display des bk-7m ist das ein Segen. Instrumente und Rythmen lassen sich kinderleicht und schnell einstellen, was ohne die App deutlich anstrengender ist. Man kann natürlich kritisieren, dass die App nicht auf weitere oder sogar alle Funktionen des Soundmoduls zugreifen kann. Aber das liegt vermutlich am Alter des Gerätes oder der App selber. Würde ein solches Gerät 2016 auf den Markt kommen, würde man vermutlich gleich an so ein Feature denken. In jedem Falle erleichtert die App auch in ihrer jetzigen Form die wichtigste Arbeit ungemein.
Die App funktionierte bei mir am 13.08.2016 unter iOS 9.3.4 problemlos. Auch hatte ich nie Probleme mit iOS 8, mit dem ich Anfang 2015 eingestiegen bin. Am 19.10.2016 gab es unter iOS 10.0.2 keinerlei Probleme. Am 08.01.2017 lief die App ebenfalls unter iOS 10.2. Am 02.01.2026 läuft die App immer noch problemlos unter iPadOS 26.2. Grandios, dass sich ein vor inzwischen 15 Jahren erschienenes Soundmodul immer noch mit einem aktuellen iPad bedienen lässt.

Please, Roland... re-release Lyrics Viewer, the ONLY way to display embedded lyrics for the BK series. The old program still works fine on the current iOS. If you can still distribute the BK9 Editor for the discontinued BK-9, why not the Lyrics Viewer for ALL BK’s???

Die App ging bei mir zuerst auch nicht........
Als ich aber die aktuelle Firmware des Bk 7m überprüfte stellte ich fest das ich nur die 1.05 hatte.
Damit es aber funktioniert muss man aber zwingend die 1.07 auf dem Bk-7m updaten - dann funktioniert es!
Ich denke einige die sich hier negativ äußersten sollten das erst einmal überprüfen!.....

Très bonne application en complement du BK-9. Cela permet d'avoir un écran tacile géant et une navigation aisée dans les menus du clavier. Elle l'est déjà sur le clavier lui même mais l'ipad apporte un plus. 
Tous ceux qui ont un Roland De la série BK peuvent  se jeter sur cette app !!

Bought a new BK-9 and was disappointed with the two menu screens. But this interface is the solution.  Recommend the wireless WNA1100 since using a USB cable doesn't allow for iPad power.
