Black Business Finder, also known as BBF, helps you discover and support Black-owned and Black-led businesses wherever you are.

Find restaurants, beauty professionals, barbers, photographers, retail shops, service providers, wellness businesses, events, and more. Search near your current location, browse another city, view businesses on the map, read reviews, save favorites, and message business owners directly inside the app.

For customers, BBF makes it easier to find local businesses, view photos, check hours, get directions, contact owners, and support the community with confidence.

For business owners, BBF provides a simple way to create and manage a public business profile. Add your business name, category, description, location, hours, photos, contact details, social links, and more. Owners can update listings, respond to messages, receive notifications, and connect with customers.

We’ve improved how business listings are displayed to make it easier to find active, verified businesses.

Claimed businesses with photos now appear first when they are within your selected distance range, helping you discover more complete and engaging listings right away. Imported or unclaimed businesses will still appear after claimed listings and remain sorted by distance.

We’ve also updated Featured listings so eligible featured businesses are easier to find within the app.

We’ve improved Black Business Finder to make local discovery faster and more accurate.

What’s new:

* Nearby listings now load faster in smaller batches.
* Listings are now sorted by distance, so the closest businesses appear first.
* Added a “Show next 10 listings” option for smoother browsing.
* Improved featured business placement near your current location.
* Improved location-based filtering for more accurate nearby results.
* General performance and stability improvements.

Updated the ability to claim a listed business.

We fixed an issue that could cause the app icon to display a notification badge even when there were no unread messages. Notification badges now stay accurately synced with your messages.
