## What is Black Screen?

Black Screen does nothing. That's the app.

Pick a duration. Tap Begin. The screen goes black. Your job is to not look at your phone while it sits right there, in reach, quietly begging.

That's it. No feed. No algorithm. Nothing to scroll.

Boredom is a muscle, and everything else on your phone is designed to keep it slack. Every gap in your day gets filled before you notice you had one. Black Screen gives you the gap back.

TWO VOICES
Zen is calm and means it. Banter is British, blunt, and delighted with you in the rudest possible way. Your choice, switchable any time.

WHAT YOU GET
Sessions from 5 to 60 minutes.
A voice line when you make it to the end.
Streaks, for the small satisfaction of a number going up while you do nothing.
One optional evening reminder, if you want it.

WHAT YOU DON'T GET
No ads. No in-app purchases. No account. No sign-up. No analytics. No tracking of any kind. Nothing you do in this app leaves your device, because there's nowhere for it to go. We couldn't read your data if we wanted to.

It's free. There's no catch and no upgrade waiting for you. Charging money for a black screen felt like it would ruin the joke.

The only rule that matters: the phone has to be there, tempting you. Run it in a drawer and you've trained nothing.

Boredom is a muscle. Train it.

Banter Mode contains strong language.
