Also anyone with any decent artwork and sense is putting their art into a cold wallet …. And not connecting that wallet to any site but using delegate.xyz … this is an essential thing to support asap , definitely not connecting my treasured art to anything ### 2/5 — Definitely need lots of work. *2023-10-24* The UI is not intuitive at all. The TV apps are still so limited in options. On the FrameTV the app doesn’t play vertically and it’s very annoying. Tried to contact the support but they seem to be offline all the time. ### 3/5 — Hard to use *2021-11-24* i love the idea and would definitely spend to get some of these cool digital art to display on my TV. But the user experience and the interface design needs a lot of help. I basically don’t know how to do anything other than looking at them on my phone. And, for some reason, random spans of fake TV static? It looks like you have a great collection here but it’s a shame I can’t really enjoy it. **Developer response:** TranquilAlpaca, George here. The app and website show how easy it is to connect it to a tv. But only once you subscribe. I have to use iPad to play pictures on smart TV. DIGITAL ART NO LONGER DISPLAYS CORRECTLY. IT APPEARS THAT THEY HAVE STOPPED SUPPORTING THE PRODUCT ALTOGETHER. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT WASTING $1K ON THE SCREEN. SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY AND YOURSELF FROM FRUSTRATION!! Concept and digital motion art is spectacular when it works but App is broken. Update 1/14/17-- App will not load and display shows error upon start-up. Please fix your app and continue support of this great concept. Update 9/14/17--Seriously Blackdove...what did you do with all the great artwork?! The selections in the updated version of app are all abstract and they blast techno music (artwork is constantly changing don't like that either) such a disturbance. No longer do I have access to the nice landscapes or creative artwork that you once supplied. Finally, even the decent one or two pieces don't always open in full screen. Many times I get 60% of the picture and the rest is a black screen. Fix everything please! Update 9/15/17--some of the artwork was returned, thank you (still lacking much of the art I use to display as compared to previous versions, not sure why??). Unfortunately, still experiencing issues with certain artwork not displaying across the full screen and also my auto on functionality no longer starts with last piece of displayed artwork. Can you remove the requirement to change artwork on a certain interval? Sometimes I enjoy displaying the same piece for weeks on end. Update 10/29/17–software is broken yet again lol. After about an hour of playback, no matter the art selection, the picture just freezes. What is going on—the instability of the software is quite frustrating. You guys always respond and fix the bugs but it would be nice to not experience so many all the time. ### 4/5 — Amazing art / ideas but hard to purchase *2016-01-07* You guys make it realllyyyyy difficult to make a purchase. It's confusing and a frustrating checkout process. It's difficult navigating on the phone. Would be easier to see all available artwork for purchase and account info if you made the membership platform accessible on phone or computer. If you guys like money I suggest fixing these issues. Love what you're doing though, I really hope you make it successful in the long run! ### 1/5 — Apple TV Already Displays Art - Save Your Money *2015-12-23, version 1.0.4* There is no reason to purchase BlackDove, when the content is available for free. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — I can’t get nfts to display and the samples look poor *2023-11-11* I truly tried troubleshooting but this software lacks proper instructions. Even getting the stock videos from the app to display looked like bad graphics on an Oled. ### 1/5 — Never worked on my Samsung TV *2022-11-23* I worked with the support team for a couple of days to try get it to play more than 1 single frame on my Samsung TV, but they gave up and stopped getting back to me. ### 1/5 — I want to live this app, but I can’t *2021-11-05, version 2.5.7* The app on Samsung TVs constantly blackscreens, and you have to uninstall and reinstall for it to work once again. When it does work, the videos are sometimes blurry, and when the loop seems to end, a loading symbol will show and never leave until you manually change to the next art. How do people justify the $99 a month subscription? ### 1/5 — Television app not working or communicating with mobile app AGAIN!!! *2020-12-10* Why is it you guys can’t get your stuff to work more than a few days at a time? Do you really expect people to maintain a subscription for a service that only works 20 or 30 percent of the time?! I honestly love the concept and the art, but I am yet again on the verge of canceling my subscription because it rarely functions when I try to access it. Lost all connection to TV, reinstalls on mobile and LG TV didnt fix it. TV app worked, but favorites are all gone and now has a limited gallery. This app has zero help options and I have sent two emails with no reply. This app had great potential but failed in less than a week! Old Review: App looks beautiful streaming on my OLED 4K, there are plenty of different art styles and showcased pieces. The only problem I’m seeing is that some of the moving art has music that conflicts and plays at the same time as my own Apple playlists. I hope for an option to be able to turn off the background music. This problem can be mitigated sometimes by replaying your music.
