I’ve seen mention of a steep difficulty curve but don’t feel I’ve hit it - past level 20 in the first couple of games, now nudging towards 40. I was fooled by the reviews. ### 3/5 — Well made, lacks strategic depth *2024-05-29* The combat is woefully boring…It plays much more like a dungeon crawler than a tactics game (just move and hack and shoot), which doesn’t work when the levels are tiny. The best and most strategic part of the game is putting your build together, but with just a single unit/piece/character it feels uninteresting and shallow…again, like a dungeon crawler. If we had two+ units instead of one, I think it might be much, much more interesting. The game is fairly clean. But, sadly, boring. If you leverage the archive system to pass abilities between runs, the game is trivially easy for a veteran gamer.
