## What is Blackjack Hi?

Designed as a serious practice tool for novices and pros, and playable as a Blackjack game.

Many beginners are intimidated by counting because it is difficult at the start. Eventually it becomes second nature. But even then, most players are intimidated by more advanced play. It is difficult to get started and to know if the advanced techniques are used correctly. This app focuses on moving step by step to progress over time.

Strategies: This app supports High-Low (Hi-Lo, HILO). There are two sets of charts for dealer hits soft 17, and dealer stands soft 17. Charts are 100% editable.

Drills: Playing the game is fun, but drills are where you nail down accurate play. Numerous options are provided for each drill. For all levels of players - novice through pro.

Optimize your time: Hands are not thrown at you completely randomly. More difficult hands are presented more often. You can be drilled on four-card hands, which are substantially more difficult than two-card hands. For counting practice, the shoe can be biased toward a positive or negative count to increase difficulty.It will remember errors you have made and present you with those hands. Speeds can be increased beyond the speed of human dealers. These features are designed to make better use of your time.

+ Basic Strategy Flashcard Drill. Select the correct action for the dealt hand. Settings: Deals hits soft 17, Surrender, Double after split, Pair hands, Soft hands, Hard hands, 2-3-4 card hands, Feedback for mistakes only, Hide Gauges.

+ Deviation Flashcard Drills. Two drills. Choose the right deviation for the cards dealt and the true count. Settings: Deals hits soft 17, Surrender, Pair hands, Soft hands, Hard hands, 2-3-4 card hands, Feedback for mistakes only.

+ Running Count Drills. Three drills. Count the cards dealt in various ways. Settings: Deal Speed, Number of Cards, Deal in Pairs, Number of Stacks, Orientation, Number of Seats, Ghost Hand, ENHC, Ask for running count interval.

+ True Count (Discard Tray) Drills. Two drills. Estimate decks remaining. Deck estimation plus true count conversion based on the running count. Settings: Number of decks, Divisor rounding, Amount of deck discarded, Show amount discarded, Round last 3 decks to half, Maximum +/- running count, High running count bias, Feedback for mistakes only.

+ Charts Review and Edit. View charts for basic strategy and deviations. All chart values are customizable.  

+ Charts Quiz. Fill in the blank quiz for all charts.

+ Table Game. Simulates a real Blackjack game. Play one or two spots, plus a computer ghost hand in portrait mode, or five spots in landscape mode. I haven’t found another comprehensive app that allows you to practice specific deviations, adjust the charts, adjust the deviations, etc. There are so many different counting drills and settings to adjust. All around excellent app

It’s very frustrating to be on deck 4 of a 6 deck shoe and the app to crash and you get no feedback from your counting. The app routinely crashes, so much so that I am able to maybe finish one out of every 5 shoes, if that. If it didn’t crash constantly, it would be a great app.

One of the most powerful blackjack apps. Has everything you need in terms of drills. Much more powerful than many others that offer only a portion of the capability. The only one that comes close isn’t on the App Store. Amazing tool created by the developer.

At least some information on all the possibilities would have been good. The game gives many practice oportunities but no information at all what to do, how to play and what the sense is

**Developer response:** The app assumes you know the basics of Blackjack and the mechanics of card counting. How you use the app depends on your skill level and what your goals are. The app has drills for all the core skills you need to count cards. You can practice chart memorization, basic strategy, running count, true counts, deviations, and more. You can also just play a normal table game and the app lets you know when you make mistakes (if you want it to). The app has lots of settings for table rules and drill customization.

This thing only wants you to practice Hi-Lo. I have it set to notify me when I make a basic strategy error and the insurance deviation for the superior system, FELT, sometimes does not line up with Hi-Lo. The issue is that when this app warns you that are about to not buy insurance at a true 3, there is no way around it!

So many times am I forced to buy insurance because when I click "continue" on the warning, it buys the insurance. When I click "fix", it offers me insurance again. When I click "no", the glitch repeats itself. Then I lose the side bet and feel upset that this app thinks that the only system we are practicing is Hi-Lo
