Thanks ### 2/5 — Update makes it unplayable *2016-05-09, version 4.3* I liked this game for a long time, it's a fun challenge that requires focus and quick reactions. The new update however destroyed the game and I am deleting it. It now has a giant flashing ad bar on top of the screen that is so distracting I find it impossible to play the game. If they look at other apps they could see that ads can be integrated without ruining the game. Hit and Hold buttons should be moved to the bottom. Fun game. My only complaint is the fun of setting high scores has now been ruined by a money grab of purchasing "redos" and it will basically be impossible to reach the high score list without lots of redos. You need an all-21 board on every round (3) and even with perfect play that only happens about 1 in 25 or so each round so you'll be playing for decades trying to set a top score without redo, which you have to purchase packs of. ### 2/5 — Again? *2014-04-06, version 3.0* Developer has screwed it up again. But now its unplayable. The iAds are getting in the way. Aside from being distracting, when they pop up, tapping doesn't work. I'm always trying to beat my old score and it is pretty challenging. I even compete with my sisters and in-laws on who can get the highest score. What I don't like about this game is the new design. I like the old version a lot better. I also hate the 3 banner ads that shows up every time you start or end a game. It seems to grab the contents of whatever is in the paste buffer on launch - which could be sensitive personal information it has no need for. The old product's interface is nicer and richer than this crap, and if the audience fizzled in the past is because simply this game is not intended for the massive kind of audience of an "angry birds" game. Yes you hooked this 3.x version to Game Center and simplified the interface. You destroyed it!!!. Do you have a usability lab? Did you conduct a single focus group? If not, then please add this option, as the way I hold my iPod means I can't see the scores when they're on the left. Better yet, ditch the 2.x code altogether and resubmit the 1.x code as version 3. (The facebook app is much better than mobile facebook, but has a couple problems.) I would gladly pay for this game, and I have gotten all my friends addicted. Download this game! Current High Score: 2041 MY NEW REVIEW: The last "update" really brought the game down off it's high pedastal of my favorite iPod app. Having in score on the opposite side of the hand you are using is invaluable and should be an option in the free version. Others opitions are dlso missing and some beq scoring options are now used I wish I could toggle on and off. I don't like that I'm almost compelled to buy the full version when the past free version was one of the best apps out there. HIGH SCORE: 2152 ### 1/5 — Still Using Version 1.7.1 *2010-09-12, version 0* As others point out, the current UI design is just terrible. I'm glad I kept my old version; I pulled it out of Trash. For those who are new, I really don't think this app is worth playing. It's just too much, UI is a mess! Would love to see it upgraded for the ipad. I hated the UI change, but if you switch to classic view it's the great old game. Buy it! ### 5/5 — The App's Back! *2010-03-30* Well, it's not exactly the same as it used to be-- but I'm totally comfortable with playing the game in classic mode and I find myself as hooked as I once was, so yeah-- Blackjack Run is back. I wish there was a way that I could make the countdown clock stop shaking-- it's really annoying-- but aside from that one little fault and stay for a couple little graphic refinements I'd love to see, I'm so happy that I can play this old favorite again. Thanks dev(s?)! You rock. BTW-- any chance we can get those giant stop and skip buttons under control-- maybe make them little and square(ish) like in the old days? Until I played it a few hundred times and my brain got used to the new look AND now I like the new version better. It really is more fun. More ways to score. It sounds like I have the same issue as everyone else though, please return the "new game" button to the window that pops up at the end of every round. I have a general and probably cliché belief that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Based on this, I am not sure why this feature was taken out in the latest update. It says this will return by popular demand by 9/26, but here we are at 9/30 and no update. Kudos developers, I love this game, but please return this feature asap. For anyone who doesn't know, for the time being go to the settings button on the bottom and click new game.
