JUST KIDDING!!!!!! *2021-02-28, version 2.6* This is so messed up because... 1. The multiplayer difficult bosses are impossible cuz, the player takes more damage from the boss 2. Nameless boss fight is long in multiplayer. Pls make it short. 3. Not enough players in multiplayer. Pls add at least 5 or 6 players. 4. Why no dungeon mode!? I just want dungeon mode and add build mode please!!!! 5. (Last one) Wonky Map Controls. ### 1/5 — "Good controls" is advertised. Ha. No. *2018-02-14, version 2.5* Well the game starts off with a clear wannabe Star Wars band that this developer probably has zero right to use, and most likely didn't even give credit. Then the gameplay starts. The movement is awkward and feels clunky, the animation looks atrocious, and the all around graphics are bland and the color looks like it was added in using that old Microsoft Paint pale. It's really fun and easy depending on how good you are. The only problem I found is the controls. At first they work out well. But as you progress through the game you slowly realize how terrible they are. The last boss took me 30 minutes all because the controls were slightly buggy and wouldn't cooperate. Other than that it's a fun game and could use a few more levels added as it is a very quick game. ### 2/5 — Not really good at all!! *2014-06-11, version 1.4* It has a good storyline behind it and a good game idea, but the functionality of the game itself and the controls are absolutely terrible. It frustrates me when my character is swinging a sword at the enemy, and i clearly sweep through his entire body. And i just pass through him like nothing happened. And then they have all these perfectly timed combos where they dont give u enough time to get back up before they hit u with another combo and ur dead. Also, the "moving" control is terrible as well. It should be like a regular d-pad. If u put ur thumb left, ur character should move left, forever, without having to pick up ur thumb and repositioning it. If u fix these bugs, then itd be a reqlly awesome game. And maybe a longer storyline. But please fix these issues ### 2/5 — Just Bad *2014-04-23, version 1.0* The game is fun for maybe the first few levels, but overall it's just bad. Firstly the controls are horrible. I know for games like this screen-controls don't translate very well, but they could have done a much better job. Along with that is the difficulty. The difficulty spikes like it's on drugs. It can go for a piece of pie to the hardest game over within the same level. If a game overall hard or easy I could forgive it, but the difficulty level is just so inconsistent. ### 3/5 — Why this hame needs to be fixed :( *2024-08-15* First of all the great owl is so unfair when you have to go threw two bosses without checkpoint at the start you could’ve atleast given us more health or a checkpoint ### 3/5 — Some cool bosses, varied levels, imprecise controls *2019-06-01, version 2.6* Lots of bosses and minibosses in different level types with unique looks makes this a fun journey. Virtual thumbstick control for movement and ducking stops this from being a pretty good game. Too easy to accidentally duck when I want to move, or move when I want to duck. 2 arrow keys plus a couch toggle button would have made this much better. My A+B special attack doesn't activate consistently. Sometimes it jumps instead. Maximus is your other game with similar UI, but never had this problem. Some of the auto scrolling levels are poorly paced so I have to wait a while for new content to scroll onscreen. Some enemies can move off screen and use strong attacks, which feels really cheap. The werebear boss' grab is stupidly damaging, fast, seems to grant him invincibility, and feels unfair. The version in your Maximus game is one of the hardest bosses because of that move, but at least that version's grab could be interrupted by a strong attack. Maximus is a much better game than Blackmoor, in controls, enemy design, and level design. A lot of the same kind of creativity is evident in both games, but Maximus feels more tested and refined. ### 3/5 — Good but not good *2018-11-22, version 2.5* Poorly balanced bosses, hard levels.
