### 2/5 — Not a dumb phone

*2026-08-28, version 2.23*

It makes your phone minimal looking but doesn’t make it an actual dumb phone. Not exactly a waste of money but not what actually makes a dumb phone.

### 2/5 — Not simple

*2026-08-28, version 2.23*

It was not simple to use and I said forget it.

### 4/5 — Free please

*2026-08-26, version 2.23*

It good I tried it but I accidentally deleted it and I don't want to pay for a subscription please make it free

### 1/5 — Trudy terrible app

*2026-08-23, version 2.22*

Try to add ChatGPT and WhatsApp to my main page, but it couldn’t find the apps. What a waste of money if I thought I could get a refund I’d ask for it. Can I get a refund?

### 1/5 — Expensive and no Free Trail

*2026-08-22, version 2.22*

Advertising is good, and the concept is great (although not at all unique to this app). No option for a free trial is a big downside. How am I going to know if I actually like having my phone set up like this? The set up is finicky and to be honest, most of it you have to do yourself manually - so why do we even need the app? I could vibe code rubbish like this for free in 5 minutes.

Do not recommend.

### 1/5 — False advertisement

*2026-08-22, version 2.22*

Ad shows clean black screen. Unable to achieve with iOS 26 widget outline. Uninstalled.

### 1/5 — Waste of time and money

*2026-08-18, version 2.22*

I downloaded this but the app could not intuitively show or lead me to how it works or what it does. Couldn’t get it set up. Also, it promised a free trial but the only option was to pay.

### 2/5 — Too complicated.

*2026-08-17, version 2.22*

Couldn’t make it work. Gave up

### 1/5 — So hard to set up!

*2026-08-17, version 2.22*

I was desperate for something to help with the siren call of my phone. I found this on the App Store and just purchased a month without a free trial first because none was offered. It’s so complicated to set it all up. I gave up the first night, the second day I was following all the directions, and there were a lot. I felt like it was just helping you set it up with settings on your phone. Why does it need a screenshot of your blank gray screen? It didn’t work at all though. Now I’m out $8 with absolutely nothing to show for it.

### 3/5 — Not as simple as it’s advertised

*2026-08-16, version 2.22*

Setup is 90% on you. Sticking to it is also on you.

The app blocking is great. I think there are cheaper options out there that don’t float off celebrity endorsement deals.

The screen blanking and Home Screen manipulation is all on you to configure. The app shortcuts don’t work. Widgets are clunky.

Paid for life so I’m doing what I can to make use of it.

It’s not as simple or good looking as the ads made it appear.

Add the grayscale widget to your shortcuts, make a focus mode that only shows essential apps, save your money and find free guides on YouTube for cheaper alternatives

### 1/5 — Money Back Guarantee is a Lie

*2026-08-14, version 2.22*

I was very intrigued by this app, and I loved the fact that they offered a lifetime tier. Based on their reviews and overall look and feel of the App Store screenshots I figured it was a safe bet. It also says “100% money back guarantee” so it seemed like a low risk move to jump the gun and purchase the lifetime pass. I was wrong. The launcher always had the Liquid Glass outline around the widget, no matter how many combinations of setting I tried. I followed the guide to a T and nothing. Still there. After this frustrating experience I decided to get a refund only to be denied twice and being told the decision was final. I figured I would try to use it again since I’m stuck with it now, so I reinstalled it but it doesn’t recognize the fact that I purchased the lifetime pass and prompts me to subscribe again. Absolutely unreal.

### 2/5 — Faulty

*2026-08-14, version 2.22*

My iPhone wallpaper will not go full white or black. The glass bubbles are still there. I’ve tried everything to make it look like it does in the ad, but it’s not working.

### 1/5 — Real faf

*2026-08-13, version 2.22*

It’s a real faf to set up, and even when you do you can’t get rid of the iOS26 borders on the main page. AND, it doesn’t support some apps. Bought the year, asked for a refund on the same day, got denied. Terrible customer service. What a money grab.

### 1/5 — Trash

*2026-08-12, version 2.21*

All you are paying for is a blank background (which makes another page you still have complete access to apps). Complete waste of money. Have you tried willpower? Clearly this app is a money grab. Don’t buy it trust me.

### 1/5 — Lots of Fake Reviews

*2026-08-10, version 2.21*

This app is not a launcher, its just some widgets hard to configure, nothing like the ads you see, when you open an app always goes through shortcuts, such a a bad process. They won’t even give you a trial because nobody would pay for it. I bought it since I enjoyed the concept used it for 5 minutes, very frustrating experience and config, ask for refund, was declined.

### 2/5 — Not worth the money just a widget

*2026-08-08, version 2.21*

I feel like this app is deceiving, it’s just a widget on your Home Screen , so you can swipe down to still access any apps or use the search function. The only way to not access all your apps is to manually lock all of them . It’s not easy to figure out if you aren’t tech savvy. I immediately cancelled my subscription once I figured it out, it doesn’t help for those needed help cutting down on screen time

### 1/5 — Just a widget.

*2026-08-06, version 2.21*

Really disappointed. Simply aesthetic.

### 1/5 — Not effective

*2026-08-05, version 2.21*

I bought this app but I am so disappointed. My phone is exactly the same as it used to be. It’s still way to easy to access problem apps. I want a real dumb phone. This hardly changes a thing.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Have to Pay

*2026-08-30, version 2.23*

No point in downloading the app it makes you pay for a subscription. I’m getting exhausted with every app these days needing a subscription.

### 1/5 — Tricked

*2026-08-30, version 2.23*

I so badly wanted to believe the description of this app. But it’s just a trick. It just moves all of your time killing apps back one page and the app just gives you instructions on how to create a new less busy page full of text that has no icons and is black. Big deal. I’ve thrown that money away and I’m disgusted I got tricked.

### 1/5 — “free” to download, pay to use

*2026-08-29, version 2.23*

I do not mind an app being upfront about its cost, but when it hides its core functionality behind an in-app paywall, that is deceptive in my view. The app charges a monthly/yearly subscription fee or a one-time “lifetime” purchase (currently ~$30). I can’t even test the app to see how it works. It might be worth $30, but I’d rather have that info before downloading it in the first place.

### 1/5 — Will not refund purchase!!

*2026-08-28, version 2.23*

I purchased the license and it said on the screen 100% money back guarantee.
But, after 2 days I decide I am not satisfied and request a refund. The have not replied after several emails. Their support page says to try the refund through Apple (I did, it was declined), and then the support page says to send in a screenshot of the purchase and the decline from Apple, I did that. No response!!

This company sucks!!! They lie and they don’t respond.

### 1/5 — No trial

*2026-08-27, version 2.23*

I have to pay £7.99 just to enter the app.

### 1/5 — trash gimmick

*2026-08-27, version 2.23*

preview photos are not what the real app is like.

### 1/5 — Not much help for the unemployed or disabled

*2026-08-26, version 2.23*

Downloaded this based on reviews stating it had all the good parts of other apps but actually free, no paywall. I was super excited. Within seconds of downloading, I’m met with a paywall. I guess I’ll keep looking for an app that offers SOMETHING for people that have nothing but time on their hands due to unemployment, disability, etc - and are looking for distance and relief from the miserable coping mechanisms contained within these phones. Apps like this would help maintain some pride for those that don’t want to look like they’re using huge, obvious accessibility features on their phones, and would love something discreet and simple like this. Offering absolutely no range of free option in 2026 is honestly insane and kind of gross.

### 1/5 — No free trial

*2026-08-25, version 2.22*

Should at least provide a one week trial

### 1/5 — Good Idea, Greedy corpo pig execution.

*2026-08-24, version 2.22*

You’re going to charge monthly to use a minimalist phone setup? 30 dollars forever, if you’ve recently been lobotomized.

### 1/5 — Broken!

*2026-08-23, version 2.22*

Unlocking for x period of time is not accurate. Intend to unlock for 20 mins and the app locks back up after 30 seconds. Happens all the time. Please fix

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — finally what i want my phone to be

*2026-08-11, version 2.21*

finally, something that lets me really downsize my phone and prevent distractions. completely changed my relationship to my phone. and aesthetic. 11/10.

### 5/5 — Free good/paid better

*2026-08-10, version 2.21*

The free version is pretty sweet to get you set up, but the paid version just makes everything more seamless.

### 5/5 — Simple yet Effective

*2026-07-31, version 2.21*

The only blocker that actually worked to give me my time back. I struggle most with passively filling a few dead minutes with mindless scrolling. But, then those few minutes turns into far more wasted time. This worked to add a simple bit of resistance to that endless scrolling. Other blockers that make it ridiculously hard to access apps, so I have found myself entirely disabling when I actually needed my apps. Then I had free rein again to waste my time. Blank allows me to keep my phone fully functional as a smart phone while providing the slight resistance that I need to not waste my time. I highly recommend using the “take a breath” option to regain access. 20 seconds of contemplating whether if I actually want to waste on social media is more than enough time to realize that I don’t want to waste my life away scrolling.

### 5/5 — Ts goated

*2026-07-02, version 2.21*

Read the title bro

### 5/5 — 100% Worth It

*2026-06-22, version 2.16*

From the moment I downloaded it, my screen time immediately plummeted. I started spending more time in the present moment, enjoying my family, and my life. That was a couple of months ago. I never spend money on apps (just on principle), but let me tell you, I bought a lifetime subscription as fast as my finger could hit the button. $20-something bucks one time for what will inevitably be years of my life back. Just do it. Don’t look back!

### 5/5 — Love it but PLEASE fix this bug

*2026-06-18, version 2.16*

I adore this app but there’s a bug that causes the app lock to either last for way too long OR that causes the apps not to lock at all 😭

For example, I have it set so that I only have 10 minutes on social media with 5 hours in between, and it either locks me out beyond those 5 hours or allows me to stay on the blocked socials for more than 10 minutes, so I gotta go back and reset the screentime

If this could be fixed, this app would be flawless ✨

### 5/5 — Just awesome

*2026-06-10, version 2.16*

Guys I want to work with you 👋

### 5/5 — Love this app!!!!

*2026-06-10, version 2.16*

This app is the only one that was actually effective enough to curb my
phone addiction!! I am so incredibly happy with how much progress this app has allowed me to make, and I recommend it to anyone struggling with social media / phone addiction.

### 5/5 — Best app EVER !!

*2026-06-08, version 2.16*

This app is best because it lets you lock the app and do 1 of like 5 things. Either do a breathing excerise , passcode, do push-ups (camera has to be on ikr ? Haha) and even touch grass (you have to take a pic of grass lol) literally the app is perfect so if you need help getting off of tiktok lol THIS APP IS IT !

### 5/5 — onboarding experience

*2026-06-07, version 2.16*

i’m appreciative of the onboarding experience that highlights how many years you would lose if you keep using your phone at the same rate.
