We here at AlelinApps feel very strongly about keeping horses healthy. That is why we came up with Hot Horse. As things get warmer, we worry about over working our friends. When it gets colder, we want them in top condition and ready to work with proper blanketing. We don't sell horse blankets; we have no reason to recommend anything we don't honestly believe in. Thanks for the review! Hot Horse isn't a weather app; it's designed to help you decide when conditions are right to ride or turn out your horse. That said, weather data does appear throughout the app as context for those recommendations. You'll find temperature, wind, and current conditions displayed directly on each horse's recommendation card. Tapping a card opens a detail view with hourly and daily forecasts, including temperature highs/lows, apparent temperature, wind speed, and a temperature chart. The Upcoming Riding Conditions section also uses weather data to show you which windows in the coming days look best for your horse. The key thing to know: we fetch weather for your horse's location, not your device's location. If the weather context isn't showing up, make sure you've set a location for your horse. You can do this by adding an address or dropping a pin on the map in the horse's detail view — no location permissions required. For us it has been accurate and easy to use. We really like how fast it loads, and the recent updates have been great. We generally use the widgets and watch complications which give you most of what you need at a quick glance. Screenshots looked promising. Can’t find a good blanketing app ): ### 1/5 — Do not recommend *2024-10-17* App worked at first, then it stopped loading the current weather. No matter how I change things it won’t load , nor will it even show on the app. This app also only has the degrees in Celsius. **Developer response:** Version 2.6.0 that fixes the issues is available now. This is actually a major update, so please give it another try when it is available. Also, the app follows the phone's settings regarding celsius and Fahrenheit. We are in the US, and we see Fahrenheit. If you continue to have the problem, please contact us through Feedback in App. ### 1/5 — Not impressed *2023-09-10* Have emailed Support twice, no reply. Locations not functional. Subscription features not working on iPad. **Developer response:** I missed this review earlier. I reviewed my emails from June to September of 2023, and I could not find any. If they went to spam, they are long gone. The app has been recently updated, and I invite you to come try it again. User feedback has been greatly improved, so you can get help more easily. ### 3/5 — I wanted to love it *2022-10-08* I wanted to love this app but the temp predictions have been incorrect with current and upcoming temperatures by 10 degrees. **Developer response:** Version 2.6.0 is available using Apple Weather. That being said, different services are better in different areas. Please give it another try and see if the weather is more accurate for you. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t ever work *2022-01-12* You know, I’d be more inclined to give this a better rating if it ever freaking worked. All it ever does is show grey spaces and no weather information. Then it says “it’s running very slow, please be patient” and then it’ll say “try again later”. Only seems to work about half the time. **Developer response:** I regret that you are having that issue. That is a symptom of a connection problem between your device and the internet. The complete message is "The network is running very slowly. Please consider checking later."
