I mean, goodness. Nothing I use on a day to day, shows up. I didn’t expect a lot of black businesses in my area but the amount of white own businesses listed makes this app a fraud. ### 1/5 — i just want to draw attention to an issue most are seeing *2025-07-17* sadly this app is very inaccurate. the first few people on the home page are lawyers who are white (not white passing) they are most likely using AI so it’s tbh a mess and pulling up any “seo” for black. like the black cat cafe which i know it’s not privately owned and not black owned. it’s backed by a non profit. maybe they want their users to do all the labor and making us flag and report anything that is not?. but that’s a poor user experience. Whole reason for me getting this app is to shop black. First thing I come across if beauty4u which is not black owned and at time black people have issues while shopping in their stores. As I was just trying to get a fill of the app I didn’t create a profile therefore couldn’t flag it. None the less I won’t be creating one now. But I will say I love the idea , now you just need to actually do the work as the creator! Now after a quick scroll I see that you’ve had this problem longer then a year but I literally just saw your advertisement yesterday 🙄 ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Hire me to Fact check because this is insane *2025-10-22* It seems as if this is an issue others are having where businesses are on the app that are NOT black owned. Please if you’re using AI to screen them or to approve or deny business’s i implore you to use a real person. I don’t know if either businesses can request to be on the app or someone searches for black owned businesses to feature on the app but they are 100% NOT doing their job because majority of these are not black owned in my area. And all it takes is either a 2 minute google search on the owners or just being a local to know. So my suggestion is to hire me so i can do the leg work. This is an amazing app that could really make a difference for black owned businesses if it wasn’t flooded with all non black owned businesses. ### 1/5 — Extremely Deceptive *2025-08-16, version 2.19.6* There are maybe one or two Black owned businesses.
