### 3/5 — Good Sensor, not a great App

*2026-09-11, version 5.19.0*

The Blast Motion system itself is okay and provides some useful data for tracking baseball swing metrics. However, the app experience is disappointing and really holds the product back.

The app is not intuitive, can be frustrating to navigate, and doesn’t feel as polished or user-friendly as it should be for a product at this price point. Getting useful information from the data should be simple, but the app makes it more complicated than necessary.

### 4/5 — Works as expected, app is quick and not overly complex

*2026-09-01, version 5.18.2*

Overall the app functions as I expected. It provides the detail and context for gathering the data to make tweaks to a swing, but ultimately see progress.

### 4/5 — Excellent Data

*2026-08-26, version 5.18.2*

Love the data and feedback that the blast sensor provides. You gotta really commit to see the results!

### 2/5 — Fails to register dry swings

*2026-08-18, version 5.18.2*

The app fails to deliver a result on dry swings. So 85% of the swings don’t even register. Frustrating for the expense I paid for the product and the subscription.

### 5/5 — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Game-Changer for Youth Baseball Development

*2026-07-15, version 5.18.1*

Blast Motion has become one of the most valuable tools in my son’s baseball development. As the parent of a highly motivated youth player, I’ve found it to be much more than a gadget—it’s an objective coaching tool that helps guide our training.

Instead of guessing what needs improvement, the sensor provides real data on metrics like bat speed, attack angle, connection, and rotational acceleration. We’ve been able to identify weaknesses, set measurable goals, and track progress over time. It’s incredibly motivating for my son to see his hard work reflected in the numbers.

The app is intuitive, the video synchronization is excellent, and the instant feedback makes practice far more productive. We’ve used the data to adjust drills, monitor improvement, and build a more purposeful training plan.

For any serious baseball or softball player, parent, or coach, I can’t recommend Blast Motion highly enough. It brings a level of objective analysis that was once only available to elite players and makes it accessible to everyone.

It’s easily one of the best investments we’ve made in my son’s baseball journey.

### 2/5 — Eh

*2026-06-28, version 5.18.1*

They want us to pay $75/year for a half baked app. No thanks. App crashes all the time, contact customer service-no reply, Facebook them-no reply. Sensor is stuck on an older firmware-won’t update. Thanks blast!

### 2/5 — Limited features

*2026-06-26, version 5.18.1*

They’ve scaled back the features which made this robust for an individual user that is not part of an organization. No way to export data to a spreadsheet which you could previously do via the website. This allowed for even more custom analytics and tracking over time than the basic ones they offer

### 4/5 — Great for Analytics

*2026-05-15, version 5.18.0*

Great app for analytics! The app itself can a little glitchy but we were able to find a workaround.

### 5/5 — So far so good. Still learning

*2026-05-05, version 5.17.1*

We have enjoyed the sensor so far. Still learning the different metrics

### 5/5 — Fun and useful app for my 12 year old son

*2026-04-28, version 5.17.1*

We have had the Blast sensor for 3 months now. It easily attaches to the end of his bat and gives multiple feedback data points. We focus mainly on bat speed and attack angle. The stats are delivered almost immediately to the app after contact of bat with ball. My son loves hearing the stats and makes adjustments and gets immediate feedback on those adjustments. The app also gives you an optimal range for each data point as a goal

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-07-04, version 5.18.1*

I used to be able to access my information, the training centre, and exit velocity. Now All 3 are gone and I basically got a tough luck reply from the support team, saying my errors are expected and individual subscriptions are only accessible through the app now.

When I said the entire point of my purchase was to access the training centre and asking why that access was also gone, they didn’t even reply. Will be contacting my bank for a refund.

### 1/5 — No longer works

*2026-06-24, version 5.18.1*

We used to enjoy using this despite going from free use to paid use. We were willing to pay the monthly subscription. But we got kicked out of the app and when we try to log back in, it gives us error messages. When I go to forgot password, it says our credentials don’t exist. I emailed support and am getting no response. At this rate, I will probably cancel our subscription since it’s useless at this point and support is not willing to help. Beware that this is what you get.

### 1/5 — Constantly Lose Data - App Still Crashing on new update 6-23-26

*2026-06-23, version 5.18.1*

I not only have 1, but 2 blast sensors. We love them from an analytics and performance standpoint. Although our first sensor will only last about a quarter of the length as our new sensor, 5 months old. Due to having to create separate account for both kids, we also have two subscriptions. Meaning having to log in and out for each child. Over the past 2 weeks, the app has stopped working. It will randomly crash, and at that point no longer open. No matter what solutions you try. Which means, every swing them becomes nonexistent after having to delete and redownload the app. We not only lost swing data, but also videos due to the service abandoning cloud connect. They have also abandoned in app features such as exit velocity. Both of which were selling points for the subscription service. Really unfortunate. Great hardware, but not useful due to the app failures.

### 1/5 — Spammed

*2026-06-23, version 5.18.0*

Still waiting on product while inbox be spammed asking for reviews.

### 1/5 — Can’t use my paid subscription

*2026-06-20, version 5.18.0*

I can’t log in. I can’t reset my password. Blastconnect returns 504 gateway error. Feels bad to buy a product and not be able to use it because their site is down.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-06-17, version 5.18.0*

I buy a the sensor in 2023 and now I have to pay to track more than 10 swings even after I bought a sensor before swing limit didn’t exist. absolute BS.

### 1/5 — Still waiting.

*2026-06-14, version 5.18.0*

I would love to review this app and product. But ordered 17 days ago and customer support says they have low stock and hopefully I will get my item in a few weeks. Blast baseball has my money and sends company emails daily however 3 weeks after purchase I have yet to get a shipping notification.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-06-01, version 5.18.0*

Just let us use the basics.

### 1/5 — Last App update breaks syncing & showing in game swings.

*2026-05-07, version 5.17.1*

Please revert to functionality that worked 1mo ago. Or is your new owner that hostile to customers?

### 1/5 — 改悪

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great for training

*2026-09-06, version 5.18.2*

Very helpful feedback

### 5/5 — Old School meets New School

*2026-08-31, version 5.18.2*

Today’s players tend to rely on tech, metrics and screens to learn. The Blast motion enables a coach from the “feel” era to relate their “feels” into realtime data for today’s tech savvy players. With the swing metrics tee work can be taken to a whole new level. The metrics make tee work interesting for the player which is invaluable as a coach. As a former 10 year pro player I highly recommend the Blast Motion.

### 5/5 — Blast Cap

*2026-08-29, version 5.18.2*

Has been a great tool so show my son things we are taking about in his swing.

### 5/5 — Great tool!

*2026-08-25, version 5.18.2*

I bought this for my nine year old son. It helped me identify issues with his swing that I could not see with the naked eye or slow motion video. With the help of the sensor and app to analyze his swing he was able to see great improvement in less than a month. We are very happy with this purchase!

### 5/5 — The motivation my competitive son needed!

*2026-08-16, version 5.18.2*

My son is 7 years old and it’s always a struggle to get him to swing as hard as he can and also understand how everything connects. Enter Blast and it is finally clicking. He is motivated to swing harder than ever and understand how the hips connect to the hands and the hand connect to the bat. It’s been a game changer.

### 5/5 — Great tool for improving

*2026-08-13, version 5.18.2*

The video feature is a great tool for evaluating and improving my swing. All of the data makes it easy to breakdown things.

### 5/5 — Review!

*2026-08-05, version 5.18.2*

Best investment for our boys! They love it and have grown much more confident.

### 5/5 — Blast

*2026-07-22, version 5.18.2*

Amazing tracking works well.

### 5/5 — Evan

*2026-07-20, version 5.18.2*

I use this is help me with bat speed and my swing thanks blast

### 5/5 — Great tool for 7 year old baseball obsessed son

*2026-07-17, version 5.18.2*

As a dad of a 7 year old who loves baseball, this has been one of the best investments we’ve made. The sensor gives him objective feedback on his swing and motivates him as it has gamified his practice. He has been spending upwards of an hour a day practicing off the tee trying to beat his personal bests. He did not enjoy the idea of hitting off the tee by himself prior to this, and the tool and app have changed that. In the short period of time that he has been using it, there has been significant improvement in his numbers which has been awesome to see! Highly recommend to anyone with a child who loves baseball.
