## What is blatt?

blatt — All is leaf.

Each day, a single maxim from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Nothing more.

blatt offers 404 carefully selected maxims and reflections by Goethe, drawn from the original German and paired with English translations by Thomas Bailey Saunders (1906) and new Japanese translations created for this app.

The plant on the Vein screen grows and changes with the lunar cycle — sparse at the new moon, flourishing at the full moon — and shifts in color with the seasons.
