## What is Blazar?

Moco Maps is the map of what's actually happening. Not events. Not listings. Hangouts; real ones, happening right now, with people you actually know.
Your group chat has 47 unread messages and still no plan. Somebody said "we should do something" three hours ago. Meanwhile, half your friends are already out and you don't even know it!

That's the problem. This is the fix.

SEE THE MOVE.
Open the map. See where your friends are hanging, what's going on, and who's pulling up. That parking lot? That's not a parking lot, that's where everyone is after the game. The map knows.

PULL UP
No invites, no RSVPs, no "maybe." See a hangout, tap it, go. The best nights aren't planned, they're found. Usually somewhere off Route 355 at 9pm on a day that was supposed to be boring.

DROP A PIN
Starting something? Put it on the map. Your spot, your people, your rules. Whether it's a study session that turns into a 2am diner run or just "we're at the field, come through." If it's happening, it's on Moco Maps.

FIND THE SPOTS
MoCo has places you won't find on any tourist map. The good sunset spot. The diner that's always open. The park nobody knows about except everybody. This county has more hidden gems than it gets credit for, and they're all here.

BUILT DIFFERENT
Moco Maps wasn't made in some office in San Francisco. It was made here by a Blair kid who got tired of missing out on things happening ten minutes away. Every feature exists because someone here needed it.

YOUR PRIVACY, ACTUALLY PROTECTED
Your location is shared only with friends you choose, hangouts expire automatically, and exact coordinates stay fuzzy until you say otherwise. Have fun. Stay safe. That's the whole point.
Downcounty, upcounty, and everything in between, this map is for you.

Crop any photo
• Every photo you upload can now be moved and zoomed before it posts: your profile picture, group photos, banners, forum posts and event albums.
• Pick the shape you want for posts and albums: original, square, 4:5 or wide.
• Fixed a bug where your profile photo crop snapped back when you let go.

Groups
• Anyone in a group can now post anything, including weekly events.
• Group owners manage the group: important links, the photo and banner, pinned posts, and removing posts.
• Hold down on a forum post to react. A new comment button keeps things simple.

A cleaner look
• Your friends list has a fresh, simpler layout.
• Less clutter everywhere: we removed extra hints and outlines so the important stuff stands out.
• A new Messages icon.

### 2.3 — 2026-10-08

- Group banners: group admins can now set a banner photo for their group. It shows on the group's card and across the top of the group page.
- Clean up your memories: long-press a past event (or tap ⋯ on it) to remove it from your Past events. If you posted it, you can delete it, along with its photos, for everyone.
- Pull to refresh Messages: drag down on your inbox to check for new messages.

Better
- Read receipts now read naturally: "Read 2:14 PM", "Read yesterday", "Read Sep 26".
- The bottom bar comes back right away when you leave a group.
- Pulling down on a group or event page now stretches its colorful header instead of showing a blank gap.

Fixes
- Tabs and event cards no longer sometimes take two taps.
- Opening Past events from the menu no longer opens the event underneath it.
- Sign Out works again.

### 2.2 — 2026-10-06

Moco Maps is now Blazar: The Blazer Radar

Events, reimagined
- Hangouts are now called events.
- Post a Plan (with your name, live right away) or a Proposal (anonymous). A proposal becomes a plan once 2 people are in.
- Event cards light up for today and tomorrow, and tapping one opens it right in the panel.
- New trident pins on the map.

Groups
- Every group has its own page with an events carousel and a forum.
- Post in your group's forum, add photos, react, and see pinned posts from admins.
- Admins can set a group photo.

Messages
- See when your message is Delivered and Read.
- React to any message: long-press, or double-tap to heart.
- Sent something by mistake? Long-press your message and tap Unsend to remove it for both of you.

Memories and sharing
- Past events stay in your history with their photos, so you can look back on them.
- Share any event with a link. Friends can preview it before opening the app.

And more
- A fresh sign-up flow.
- A new glassy look across Messages, Profile and Settings.
- Your grade can now show on your profile.
- A cleaner map that opens on Blair.

### 2.1 — 2026-09-22

Big changes to how hangouts are organized!
• Edit your hangouts — the name, notes, time, who's invited, even
  where it is.
• Every hangout now shows where it is, with a map and one-tap
  directions.
• Add, change or clear your RSVP note without leaving and rejoining.
• Swipe a hangout left to hide it. Find hidden plans in the filter menu.

Always up to date!
• Hangouts and RSVPs now update on their own while the app is open —
no more restarting to see who's coming.
• Pull down to refresh your hangouts, friends, groups, requests and
  profile.
• Get notified when someone accepts your friend request, or RSVPs to a
  plan you're going to.

A better map!
• The map now opens in Terrain view, with street and place names.
Prefer the standard map? Switch it off in Settings.
• Set a Homebase and the map opens right where you are, every time.

New to Moco Maps?
New accounts get a guided tour of the app. Replay it any time from
your Profile.

And also
• Choose exactly how your profile photo is cropped.
• A new tab bar that shows where you are, and instant tab switching.
• Fixes for several screens that were hard to read in dark mode, and a
filter menu that could freeze the app.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-13

· A full visual overhaul across every screen — cleaner, sharper, faster
· Messages got introduced with a fresh new look, easier to read and navigate
