BLEASS Arpeggiator takes the inspirationally melodic power of a classic synth arpeggiator and supercharges it with modern features demanded by today’s musicians. Developed in collaboration with top French producer Canblaster, BLEASS Arpeggiator’s capabilities extend far beyond the clichéd up-and-down monophonic patterns of an old-school synth arpeggiator, with polyrhythms, polyphony, and a large collection of highly configurable arpeggio patterns built in. The focus of BLEASS Arpeggiator is creativity and experimentation. The plugin’s hands-on user interface is as intuitive and spontaneous to use as a classic subtractive synth, so varying and adapting arpeggios on-the-fly is an easy, fun and organic experience. The plugin recognises incoming performance controllers, and includes a pair of XY pads, a pair of advanced LFOs and BLEASS’ signature Motion Sequencer. Helpful hint…watch the tutorial by Canblaster; lots of good information. I’m using it with Cubasis as a midi effect, with everything working well until I stop play in the middle of the project. This causes the midi tracks to hang and continue running. The midi panic button in Cubasis will not stop any of the tracks from running; the only way to stop them is to close Cubasis altogether. When playing a project all the way through to the end, however, the midi tracks do not hang and stop as expected. Either some code in the app needs to be fixed, or Bleass should consider adding a panic button. **Developer response:** The latest update for BLEASS Arpeggiator fixes this issue. So much fun to use, really deep and useful in big DAW projects and amazing for live jamming. I’m in love and never usually write reviews.
