We'll look into this. ### 4/5 — Great App, but… *2025-10-23* I want to give it 5 stars, but one missing feature holds me back. If I load in a sample, there is no way to see the file name afterwards. So if I come back to a track later and want to know the sample details or where I got it from, then it’s impossible to search my sample folder by the sample file name. Also if you record a sample in, you can only write details in the patch name. This isn’t ideal. Other than that, it sounds great and fun to play. Also, it would be nice to audition sounds in the sampler before loading them, but let’s start with the file name feature first. Thanks! **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. The sample data is embedded directly into the patch when it is loaded, so it is no longer linked to the original files afterward. Because of this, any later edits to the sample file or deleting it will not affect the data already stored in the patch. For that reason, adding the sample file name would not be useful. For pre-listening of samples, we rely on the iOS file explorer for this feature, and unfortunately it does not support pre-listening of samples. ### 4/5 — Please help find solution *2024-12-02* BLEASS Samplewiz2 has a issue booting up unbelievably I invested so much into this app To have to delete and still have to deal with same issue. I made 400 presets and purchased another 150 from dmt Cymatics as well as several iap presets packs. If all you want is to use the packs and/or record in your own samples then this is just the job. Beware, though, of User Samples seemingly disappearing if you get a new iPad. After spending some additional time with it, I realized how incredibly powerful and flexible it actually is. Seems rocksolid stable, have had no issues to speak of, and I’m enjoying every moment with it immensely. The number of creative permutation seems almost endless. ### 4/5 — Awesome App After Getting Past some Issues *2023-01-22* I had trouble getting started with this as an AUv3 plugin and ran into some glitches. At first my audio clips were not getting time stretched when pitch shifted, but got that working. The main issue now is that if I use the randomized button of this plugin inside of Loopy Pro after about 3 - 4 uses it breaks and Bleass stops out putting sound. The stand alone version of the app does not have this problem. UPDATE: After spending some days tinkering with this app I realized what gem I almost missed out on due to a bad first impression. I still run into little issues like with the randomize button, but this app is AMAZING for creating unique instruments instantly with my microphone. It’s awesome inside of Loopy Pro. I was able to set up a button in Loopy that records my mic input to BLEASS with the press of a button and it is immediately playable on my keyboard. Pitch shifting with time stretching DOES work for me now and it’s fantastic. So many features I didn’t realize I needed or wanted! I love this app! **Developer response:** Thank you so much for your revised feedback. ### 5/5 — Nothing else like it *2023-01-14* I’ve been searching the App Store for a sampler on iOS that lets me sample my synth sounds created on my Mac DAW and this is it! Other samplers seem to just increase the sample rate to match pitch and it renders the sampler useless as an instrument, as it just plays back the sample slower of faster (even GarageBand for iOS AUSampler is guilty of this). The design is simple and yet compact. This is a very useful and needed app for my workflow on iOS. I feel like Samplewiz and Samplewiz 2 sound different where modern mode is engaged on samplewiz? Now on samplewiz 2 granular is selected instead….and cloud definitely isn’t modern mode, it’s like moving grains mode (a new mode). So while it is an update to many things, it feels like a downgrade on the modern engine. All my modern Samplewiz instrument sound way different when I try to recreate them in the new version? Modern used Dirac is this still in the app? Curious. **Developer response:** SampleWiz 2 is a different synthesizer made by a different developer than SampleWiz 1. However, its “Cloud Mode” is the closest equivalent to the “modern mode” you’re referring to. ### 5/5 — Excellent device!! *2022-12-07* I love everything about this marvellous app. There is one aspect that I am puzzled about. Very often, my own ‘user’ bank of samples disappear and I then have to reinstall the app. Maybe this could be something I’m missing when saving a new sample. This seems like a basic feature on most sound design samplers. Emailed dev got no response ### 1/5 — Can’t modulate sample end *2022-03-22, version 1.2* The sample end knob is not a modulation destination. This is a key feature in a sampler for my sound design work flow. I emailed BLEASS and got no response. I found a workaround in AUM with a midi lfo but this feature should be built in. ### 2/5 — Stand alone app won’t open *2026-07-21* Continues to crash when trying to buy presets ### 2/5 — Shame *2023-08-24* I want to love this app, but after buying three of the in app purchases the Mika one won’t download on my 12.5 iPad Pro and on my iPad Pro 11 it sometimes loads and other days not. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and the same problem. Some days it’s there and some days it’s not. Same issue with Very Sick Beats pack. Restore purchase option just hangs. A shame as I’m the kind of guy who would eventually have bought every pack. **Developer response:** Hello, we are working on it and it will be fixed in the update to come. ### 2/5 — Flawed masterpiece *2023-08-16* In general, I absolutely love this instrument. The problem I’m experiencing is that I bought the Imer6ia preset pack, but it won’t load. When I try to restore purchases, the app crashes. **Developer response:** Make sure you have the latest update, and a strong internet connection to download the samples and presets. The download process might take a few minutes because of the large audio data files. ### 2/5 — Best IOS Sampler (When it loads…) *2022-09-25* I don’t like to write reviews that have issues that should be handled by tech support, but since they don’t answer those reliably then this is the only option. The IOS app stores user presets on iCloud and it appears there is no other option to store user presets locally. I had built up a library of 360+ user presets and it was causing the app to crash upon loading in AUM. The icon turns red and it forces me to reload, sometimes in the middle of a song and when it reloads it goes back to the default preset so I loose whatever work I did on the song. Also, the more I added user presets the more the response slowed - screen and preset lists became slower to refresh. It does not support folders so I removed most of the user presets and while it became more responsive it still occasionally will not load. I have a newer iPAD Pro (3rd Gen) purchased in Jan 2022 and a cable internet connection so I don’t think hardware is the issue. I did get a response on 8/24 when I first wrote about the sluggish response (reboot, check your internet connection, etc.) but have not heard from them when I emailed again on 9/6. This app is the easiest sampler I have used and I had tons of useful results with it. It would easily rank 4 stars if it were reliable and the dev would reliably respond to inquiries. Update: I never received any correspondence from the developer - and yes I check the spam folder daily. Nothing in the dev response made a difference - on my iPad this app has issues when a large number of user pressers are stored. **Developer response:** Hi Steve, We wish you had read and answered to the email we sent you on September 16, the very same day you sent your last email... (could you please check your spam?). Indeed, you cannot create folders within your user presets in the File application, this is why it has caused the app to disfunction. We're happy you're satisfied with the team's work. ### 5/5 — Amazing! *2025-01-27* Bleass have developed a specific type of interface that they’re able to share to some degree between their apps. Learn one, and it’s simple, you were able to adapt to all the various synthesizers they make. SampleWiz 2 works with, samples and allows you to mess with them in musical, interesting ways. Some of the presets, which are very interesting to cost a little bit of money, but are well worth using. Because.Bleass has found away to simplify the synthesis process. You don’t waste your time. You’re actually able to figure things out fairly quickly and the design is simple enough so that you don’t waste a lot of time trying to figure things out which is a great thing. I find this synthesizer and Megalit offer a super wide attempt at sound programming that meet most people‘s needs I would imagine. For years, I was involved with various synthesize manufacturers, editing patches, occasionally advising, and reviewing. I don’t know how I missed. Bleass,s plug-ins but I’m glad I found them in 2024. fortunately, there are a lot of demonstrations available on YouTube. It is well worth your time if you’re thinking of getting one of these plug-ins because you can actually see how their programmed and here and I think that’s very important because it’s one of the downsides, in my opinion, of the Apple store’s way of working. Links are nice, but they should be live links so that you don’t have to try and copy and go to YouTube or wherever to check out what programs can do. If I were one of the creators, I would really push Apple to change this very simple concept. They’re Apple they should be able to accomplish such a thing. I admit, I avoided.Bleass initially because the interface seemed too colorful, and not necessarily professional, looking, imo. Taking a risk and having worked with several their programs I’ve got seven or eight at this point, I admit that my biases aren’t necessarily true although I would kill for a way of being able to change the interface in a way that would give me a little bit more enjoyment. But that’s me, really the interface is awesome and will be something you will appreciate if you’re coming from a lot of other virtual synths. Do not be like I was, it’s easy enough to find out how this stuff works do it because all honesty. Bleass products have saved me a ton of time in their interfaces simplicity when dealing with complex ideas. Well worth the purchase. This thing is absolutely AMAZING!!!!! ...i love how this developer's apps all use MPE CORRECTLY, for once, and the software doesn't get confused when I'm trying to slide one note within a root chord keeping the other notes a constant pitch-Nobody else's apps seem to be able to pull this one particular thing off as nicely as BLEASS and its programming GENIUS'!!!!!
