### 5/5 — Addictive!

*2017-04-19, version 1.8.3*

Easy to catch on, hard to quit! The ads are pretty unobtrusive, too. There are a few different layouts and some are by nature super easy and others very difficult. I've only done the simple levels so far and am nervous to try harder levels!!

### 5/5 — Perfect!

*2017-02-16, version 1.8.3*

I've tried dozens of puzzle games, but I always come back to blendoku. The concept is unique & it's interface is foolproof. Graphics are sharp, modern, & elegant. It's easy to learn, but hard to master. It has everything you can look for in a puzzle game :D

### 5/5 — Elegant, challenging game!

*2016-12-13, version 1.8.3*

I love Blendoku. It's a masterpiece. It's a great idea which is brilliantly executed. I find it intellectually challenging and fun, but the best part is that whenever I finish I see the harmony of colors and it is deeply soothing, almost meditative. So it's one of those great games which is challenging and relaxing at the same time. Thank to the creators!

### 5/5 — Simple yet addictive

*2016-11-23, version 1.8.3*

This puzzler is one where you are mainly racing yourself, but you can play at any speed. It requires to place colored squares in order of blends, but it may still be playable by those with poor color vision. You'd have to give it a try to know for sure. No problems after running it for a short time, and I like that it has incidental noises but no music. It also displays on a black background, so it doesn't hurt your eyes or your screen. Nice one!

### 5/5 — Creative fun for the right/left brain crowd

*2016-11-09, version 1.8.3*

An interesting game that connects organization with subtle creativity. Through sorting tiles by color, you can navigate through the levels of the game. Beware however as you move forward the color chips become much more indistinguishable and the levels much more difficult. I have enjoyed playing this game and find it connecting to both my left brain and right brain function

### 5/5 — Great game

*2016-10-25, version 1.8.3*

I've bought just about every level I'm so hooked. I love the ones with big blocks. Kinda need a microscope and tweezers for the smaller ones, but that makes the puzzle more challenging. Maybe you could put in a zoom feature ? Keep up the great work!

### 5/5 — Way better than Tinder!

*2016-10-23, version 1.8.3*

When I found myself playing Tinder like a phone game app I decided I needed something to play that would work my brain without leaving casualties of heartbreak. Luckily I found Blendoku. As an artist and slightly OCD, this is the most satisfying game out there! Me and my new boyfriend (Bumble, also an artist) play it together for hours! Only thing I would change is a zoom feature because those squares can get really tiny for even my little fingies!

### 5/5 — Great Puzzle!

*2016-09-05, version 1.8.3*

I really enjoy puzzle games, and I found this one on the app store today. It was a great find and it is very fun and easy to use!! The only thing is that it is a little bit more complicated than it should be to move the colors around, and the tutorial is very minimal, but once you get the hang of it, this is a great game!!

### 5/5 — Totally fun

*2016-09-05, version 1.8.3*

I don't know why, but this is a lot of fun. Makes my brain happy. Very satisfying. But very addictive, if you have that tendency.

Still playing after three years. Had to uninstall and lost all my progress. Having fun working at getting it back. 👍🏻

### 5/5 — Fast, fun, and challenging game! Recommended

*2016-09-01, version 1.8.3*

Involves colors as we'll as pattern matching. Requires good vision and quick reflexes for high scores, but is fun for anyone. Note: for best results turn the screen brightness all the way up before starting.
Match colors from left to right, light to dark, top to bottom. Good luck!

### 5/5 — I love this app!!

*2016-08-18, version 1.8.3*

This app is very creative and I love the challenges! I wish there was more than 1 hint per day but hasn't stopped me at all! Only thing I would suggest is when I turn my phone sideways I wish the bigger puzzles would be larger, I feel like it shrinks a little with some of the bigger puzzles. Still a great game!

### 5/5 — Creative Amazing Game

*2016-08-12, version 1.8.3*

I found this game through a friend. And as a artist in college Blenduko is good to practice with colors, because we all know at some point in our life we struggle with color. Overall it's educational and entertaining! Plus it doesn't hurt your phone battery and it's free! You won't regret getting this game!

### 5/5 — If you like puzzles then you'll like this

*2016-06-26, version 1.8.3*

Pretty simple concept. Put the colors in order. Is it from darkest to lightest? From one shade to another. The key is to figuring out the pattern for each set of blocks.

There aren't very good instructions but it is
Not hard to figure out. Just play around trying to put the colors in order.

### 5/5 — Really satisfying!

*2016-06-21, version 1.8.3*

I love this game! I've had it for less than 24 hours and I'm already addicted to it. It was recommended to me as an app that's great for stimming and it really is! The gradients are pretty and there's a wonderful sense of accomplishment from being able to figure out the harder levels. It's easy to learn but hard to master. I would recommend it to anyone!

### 5/5 — Relaxing, delightful, and a good challenge

*2016-06-03, version 1.8.3*

Honestly, a friend recommended this game with the hook of "it's got colours in a grid but also puzzles". Definitely worth downloading and playing, especially if you like setting things in order! It's very satisfying, finishing each level.

### 5/5 — Super addictive

*2016-05-24, version 1.8.3*

I absolutely love this game. I think it'll really help me with colors too. I'm already okay at colors but this definitely helps!! I do think that sometimes the background and the dark colors blend together and I don't really turn up my brightness so sometimes it's a problem. But really?? Everything is good and I recommend it. It's a very chill game. I like that the timer is hidden and you only see the final time. I was looking for a chill game and I found it!!

### 5/5 — Love this game

*2016-05-09, version 1.8.3*

I'm an artist and I love color and word games. This fulfills the need to play a puzzle game and is also very visually appealing. This is actually the second time I'm playing the first version because I enjoyed it so much the first go around, which was three years ago.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Fail on iPhone 6S Plus & iPad Air

*2016-08-26, version 1.8.3*

Great idea but unusable. I absolutely loved plying.

However, on both of my devices the menu will not show. That is, when I am playing and blending blocks, there are no buttons at all visible on the screen except the "?" In the upper right.

According to the screen that comes up when I hit the "?", there are supposed to be other buttons such as the Back button, the Settings button, and so on. In particular, I have not been able to find out how to get a Solve.

After 50 years as a computer programmer, I am generally pretty adept at these things. I did, in fact, find a way to partially work around this bug (the bug is the missing toolbar buttons or, said otherwise, no control buttons visible on the screen).

I discovered after lots of experimentation that I could get the little "Back" button to appear in the lower left corner. The way to do that was to hit the "?" and then immediately hit the Back button. Doing that returned me to the playing screen where I could continue moving tiles around. However, unlike before, there was now a Back button in the lower left corner. At this point, then, the only two buttons visible were the "?" in the upper right and the Back button in the lower left. There were no other buttons, such as the Settings button or the Solve button.

I uninstalled it on both devices - my iPad Air and iPhone 6S Plus. I wish the programmers well. It looked like a lot of fun to play if it were playable. Thanks for the thought.

### 4/5 — Fun and challenging

*2019-05-09, version 1.8.3*

I just downloaded this app yesterday and it’s pretty fun! My only complaint so far is that you only get 1 help every 12-24 hours (I forgot the specific time) If I cant figure out a level and already used a help, I have to wait at least half the day to solve that puzzle. The app does allow you to skip and come back later though, which is nice since it means I can continue playing. I also enjoy the colors that appear on the level select menu from a sensory perspective.

### 4/5 — Good game, one fault

*2017-01-05, version 1.8.3*

The game is as it says, relaxing. Though there are many pleasing color arrangements, some of the colors don't blend as well as others, causing a weird contrast that just doesn't look good. Though some warm and cool colors look good together, there must only be /one/ dominant (brighter, more noticeable) color, not two. Red and blue is an exception.

### 4/5 — Good, but bugs

*2016-03-13, version 1.8.3*

I love playing this game, I've been playing almost non-stop since I downloaded it. But it doesn't always register the goals correctly, I have to play the level 2 or 3 times in order to get the little trophy for beating the world time, even though my original time was fast enough. Really wish I didn't have to do that

### 4/5 — LOVE this game! But fix the bug!

*2016-01-26, version 1.8.3*

I love the whole concept of this game: seeing how gradations of color blend into and out of each other. There's just one thing that I wish were different: when you successfully solve a level, the area around the blocks is streaked with colored lines. It would be nice to be able to enjoy seeing the solved puzzle without these lines. I also don't like the timer aspect, but at least it doesn't pressure you to finish the level before everything explodes or something. And kudos for making it possible to move on instead of having to unlock a level first. Clean up the playing area and make it more minimalist, and I'll give it 5 stars!

### 4/5 — Good

*2016-01-25, version 1.8.3*

Just got the game. Pretty fun. I'd suggest making the instructions a little more thorough. I easily understood the straight line. The puzzles with multiple vertical lines threw me off for awhile. I actually deleted the app because I was frustrated but then downloaded it to try again. I finally get it but a tutorial with a more complicated puzzle than a straight line would be nice.

### 4/5 — Pay $2 to get rid of noisy ads, then pretty addictive

*2015-12-20, version 1.8.3*

I was unhappy with the free version of this game. It's supposed to be relaxing and pleasant to arrange the colors in a pleasing pattern, but there is always some conflicting color from the banner ad that runs across the top of the game at all times.

I wanted to pay a dollar to get rid of the ads, but you can't do that. Instead, you have to pay two dollars, and decide what level of difficulty puzzles you want to purchase.

I also question whether the "correct" solutions are actually mathematically "correct," in some way, rather than just some guy's opinion.

I checked the red/green/blue values of a couple of the screenshots shown in the App Store. Sometimes, the sequence is a perfect mathematical progression through the colors. Other times, there are strange numerical jumps that might "look good," but don't seem to be objectively "correct" in any way.

(I haven't tried the same test using hue/saturation/lightness values.)

That said, the game is pretty addicting once you get rid of the ads, and adapt to your brain to the game's way of thinking. So I'm increasing my reading from three stars to four stars – addicted, but still annoyed by the peeves I listed above.

### 5/5 — Work every part of your brain and have fun doing it.

*2022-08-17, version 1.8.3*

Most of us deal with words and numbers from time to time every day. But very few of us have the opportunity to deal with gradations of color — a sense of order that works a different part of our brain. be well-rounded and balanced. enjoy beauty and not just black and white. go for Blendoku!

### 5/5 — Wonderful game!

*2022-03-08, version 1.8.3*

I love games like solitaire, logic games, crossword puzzles, etc. But Blenduko is the best game I’ve ever played. I have a disease that never lets me forget it. But when I play this game I forget everything that’s wrong with me. I can’t thank you enough for making this game. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

### 5/5 — Reddit Led Me Here

*2022-01-08, version 1.8.3*

A random Reddit comment mentioned Blendoku in passing, and I was curious, so I gave it a try! This is far more engaging than I thought it was going to be. I’m glad I found it. So far, there aren’t even many ads— I’ve encountered one in the past like 75 levels? Good stuff!

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Hey, I’m an impressed Artist!

*2021-05-28, version 1.8.3*

I love this game! I’m an artist. And this game tickles me right in my creative bits. Color theory for fun!

Also, the app stopped working. I posted a review about it and no less then four hours later... it was fixed. So I’m revising my rating. Nice work devs. 5 stars for you.

### 5/5 — Yes yes yes

*2021-05-11, version 1.8.3*

Love it love it love it! Easy to use and makes you really think about color theory. The color blind mode is a really helpful feature even if you are not color blind; just flips it to different hues and makes you think differently. Nice time passer.

### 5/5 — Perfect!

*2021-03-25, version 1.8.3*

This game is the best! I went around the house trying to get my dads phone so I could play it until he let me download it on my iPad. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this game. Thank you for…making this game…exist.

### 5/5 — Colorblind mode seems to work

*2019-03-11, version 1.8.3*

I love this game, but I figured my colorblind son wouldn't even be able to play. But wait, there's "colorblind mode" in the settings! Even though it looked the same to me, my son was able to play. Areas where I thought he'd have trouble, he did (choosing mid hues between orange fading to green and green fading to a reddish-purple), but not more than I'd expect a full color vision person to have. Good job!

### 5/5 — Blendoku

*2018-06-19, version 1.8.3*

I love all colors and I challenging games / so I thought I'd give your game a chance. It's interesting, at times I don't understand the order of the colors but all in all, I like the game. It's challenging in its own and I like it! Blendoku is quite different than most of these other games. Keeps you thinking and using your awareness and keenness to the various colors. I have the 2nd version and look very much forward to playing it as well. Now, if there was a way to draw and/or make shapes with all your colors - it'd be awesome!! Thanks!!

### 5/5 — Blendoku

*2018-01-09, version 1.8.3*

I find this game challenging, stimulating, and addictive! One puzzle may simply require going from dark to a light using one color much like a painter would add white to red which creates pink in lighter and lighter shades, while the next puzzle involves a more complicated split of two different colors that when blended would create yet another color in varying shades/hues. Fun game!

### 5/5 — Creative and fun learning tool

*2017-07-16, version 1.8.3*

This not only teaches color theory, but enhances young and old people's sense of tone, shading and gradation. It also challenges you and teach you about the logic of the color patterns. It's educational but also a fun way to pass time while waiting for other things.
