I have to open my iPad in order to pray for my neighbors. I’m not sure why I’m having this issue. ### 5/5 — iPad app not working *2022-08-12, version 1.6.3* I was going to pray for my neighbors today and opened up the app on my iPad, but it wouldn’t load. The app on my iPhone loaded so I just used that. I noticed an update available on the iPad for this app but it was just an update to the maps. The problem persists after the update. Awesome app, though! May the Lord BLESS you and keep you and make His face SHINE upon you and be GRACIOUS to you. May the Lord TURN His face towards you and give you peace—and all in the Name of Jesus our Savior, I pray this. Praying for just five of my neighbors each day (I set my neighborhood size to the closest 60 people). I trust that the Lord is answering my prayers in some ways I can’t see. What I did not expect was how this 30 seconds a day has changed my heart and the way I view my neighbors and my role in their lives. I’m thankful for this ministry and for this new app. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Frustrating *2026-07-03, version 5.5.2* I didn’t really care for it before. I use it because I’m new to a townhome community. It helps me with names but is very clumsy to use. Only improvement with update is the verse is there instead of the reference. The PrayerMate app is WAY better. At some point I may add neighbors I’ve met to that and delete this one. The app is completely useless for me however, it won’t let me create an account & every address I enter it says it needs to be a USA address. I entered friends & family’s address who’ve lived there my whole life (In Indiana) yet it’s not a US address.?? Highly excited pray for others, unfortunately let down. Stop trying to impose your faith on random strangers … this is not what evangelism is supposed to be. Stuff like this makes Christians look like predators and further drives the mainstream public away from church. ### 1/5 — HUGE INVASION OF PRIVACY *2024-03-27, version 4.1.1* this app allows you to take very specific and very personal information about your neighbors, including times a person may be home, their religious affiliation, details about their personal lives, and all of that is tied to names and addresses. not only is it incredibly invasive, it’s dangerous information if it falls into the wrong hands. this app should not exist. collecting data on your neighbors is wrong ### 1/5 — Wildly unethical *2024-03-27* This app is design by people with no regards for the feelings of others. The app functions by gathering personal information on your neighbors, without their consent, to allow predatory Christians to stalk and harass people into joining their cult. ### 1/5 — If you live in CA, VA, or CO, get you info off this app *2024-03-27, version 4.1.1* If you live in CA. VA, or CO, get you info off this app. They have privacy laws that require they remove your data by request and can face penalties. This app can be used by anyone including predators, stalkers, abusive exes etc. For your safety and your families safety, I would request your data be removed. ### 1/5 — Creepy, no way to opt out *2024-03-19, version 4.1.1* Creepy app. No way on the website or app to remove your name and address from the database. ### 1/5 — Privacy violating data collection tool *2023-08-17, version 2.0.2* You’re tagging people’s home addresses and putting their names in a database with how many children and adults are in a home. How does anyone not see how creepy this is. There’s nothing in the privacy statements stating they can’t just sell the data you enter. This is mind boggling. I can’t believe my church is pushing this. My home address, the count and names of my children are all being out in this app without my consent by neighbors and other church members. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Oh yeah *2025-02-09, version 5.1.0+87* I needed this app to help me keep up with my prayer every day and to keep me praying for people that i may not know. I have a couple of suggested features to add. 1) Increase the font size. Can barely read the daily prayer and names. Make it so people can adjust the size of the font to fit their eye sight. 2) “Gameify” the app. I’ve been using this app every day for a few months. Let people know what their current streak is, what their longest streak is, etc. Maybe have a leaderboard for everyone (and by friends and other categories) for streaks but also for each of the BLESS components. 3) Groups. Churches could start an initiative to have its members pray for the people that live within a certain radius of the church building (1 mile, two miles, or even the entire city, etc.). Church leaders could set up a group for members to join so that everyone would be praying for the same five people every day and determine the appropriate radius to focus on. I would love to continue praying for my neighbors but also get an additional set of five people to pray for with other people I go to church with. 4) Make it more social. Let people friend other people. Let people make posts, post pictures, etc. Just suggestions. Will continue using the app regardless.
