### 5/5 — Game is awesome and new characters would be good

*2020-05-20, version 1.02*

Awesome game works great and all the characters are cool and with new things and characters to unlock in a update would be awesome so it’s a great game.

### 5/5 — Great piece of art!

*2020-04-23, version 1.02*

This is a great game for an upcoming indie developer! Keep up the work and looking forward to dauphin!

### 5/5 — Really like the game

*2020-03-30, version 1.02*

The art is awesome and the gameplay is on point its hard but not that hard easy but no that easy is good.

### 5/5 — Great Game!

*2020-03-29, version 1.02*

I downloaded it after seeing it on the developer’s YouTube channel, and it is way more addicting than I expected. I would like to see a feature like in the developer’s Snow Pounce game where you can turn on ads that play every so many rounds to show support. I know game devs get money for ads viewed, and I dont mind a 30 second break every 3-5 rounds. I love the game, and I’ll be keeping an eye out for any new games by this developer!

### 5/5 — Blink

*2020-03-26, version 1.02*

Very fun game and recommend it for everyone

### 5/5 — How I die?

*2020-03-06, version 1.02*

I love dis game but I must know how I can avoid death! Pls help meh!!!

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2020-03-02, version 1.02*

Simple, fun gameplay that really ramps up in difficulty. I do wish that there were more unlockable backgrounds, and achievements would be cool but I still like this game ^^

### 5/5 — Awesome !

*2020-03-01, version 1.02*

Came here from your YouTube video! Nice concept! Not much to do though. Keep up the great work!!! :D

### 5/5 — Extremely fun

*2020-02-12, version 1.02*

Great app and really fun. Looks really good.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2020-02-12, version 1.02*

One of the best quick to play games ever

### 5/5 — New

*2020-02-06, version 1.02*

Great game! After watching your videos it’s hard to believe you did this alone! The game is very smooth and runs well. Maybe add in other components to the game to spice it up. Besides that, great job!

### 5/5 — Addictive and Fun

*2020-01-19, version 1.02*

The light effects are very satisfying and they really add to the game

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2020-01-19, version 1.02*

KEEP up the great work brother

### 5/5 — There should be a timer

*2020-01-11, version 1.02*

Like in my title, I think a timer is necessary. Since the rounds end suddenly and really, out of the blue. I would recommend that I see how much time I have and so I would try to get the highest score and time. It would make it more replay able instead of a one time thing.

### 3/5 — No sound

*2020-02-14, version 1.02*

Download this game after watching your video on YouTube about how you made your first indi game. I am personally looking to make my own game. Congratulations. I only have one small complaint .. I downloaded the game on my iPad and it has no sound. immediately stop playing it. Sound is for me one of the most important aspects. And yes, I know that your game should have sound (I saw your video on YouTube) but it doesn't. It doesn't sound anything at all.

### 3/5 — Very nice but bats are annoying

*2020-01-16, version 1.02*

Great game, I love it, but the bats are very sudden and especially further through they become very annoying, and they seem to always go to where I need to. Some sort of indicator or system to stop them from going to the centre of the next circle would be a great addition to stop them from being so annoying. Other than that, not much needs to be changed in my opinion. Great job!

### 4/5 — Very good game, could use some more info displays

*2020-08-12, version 1.02*

I really like how this game is played. A unique idea that is actually fun to play, with cool progression and a great art style. My recommendations would be to have it more clear when you are going to lose (it feels a bit sudden) and also have some sort of audio cue associated with losing. Otherwise the game feels very complete and well done.

### 4/5 — Relaxing

*2020-02-29, version 1.02*

It’s fun for a while but gets boring quick also it is quite hard to judge when the circle is perfect but all in all it’s relaxing and a good way to pass time especially for a first project also liked watching it be developed

### 4/5 — Super fun, would recommend

*2020-02-25, version 1.02*

Just got this game after finding DevDuck’s YouTube channel (subscribe, it’s great). It is a really fun game and I’m glad that I can play whether I have WiFi or not. Not being spammed with ads is also a plus. I think the point multipliers made the unlocks a little too easy though. I got a record of 340 and unlocked 5 things at the same time. I think if each bug required more points to unlock, it would be better because as it is I have skipped many upgrades with one round. Another thing is that sometimes it is hard to see bats coming when I play on my small phone screen. If they were brighter it would help. Other than that this game is great, especially for a free one.

### 4/5 — Good game

*2020-02-16, version 1.02*

Is a good game - one way to greatly improve ux would be to allow a touch on the screen away from the firefly and then move the firefly in the direction /distance you drag without having to be touching the firefly -I have an iPhone se and my finger covers the circle so it’s really hard to see what’s going on - looks nice though, good effort

### 4/5 — A little bland

*2020-01-05, version 1.02*

I really enjoyed this app but it’s not exactly something exciting that that you can keep playing over and over again. It’s a cool concept but gets boring quickly.

### 4/5 — Great game concept!

*2019-12-16, version 1.02*

I love the object of the game and how unique it is. Only problem I have is seeing where me bug is due to my finger being right over top of it. Maybe increase the range of where your finger can be placed in order to move the bug. For example my finger right below the bugs position can still control the bugs movement. If that makes sense. Keep up the great work!

### 4/5 — So good but worth making?

*2019-11-24, version 1.02*

I love this game, how you have to make the atmosphere around you light I like how you can choose between different bugs, and just the general simplicity of the game is great.

This is some constructive criticism so don’t take this personally, I feel like you need to add more enemy’s that eat you and also give the player a warning when the bats are coming down or we’ll just die instantly without thinking. Maybe add more bugs to play as since I’ve already unlocked all of them, maybe even add more maps? You could add sounds when you click on start about etc to make the game have more touch?

Also I’ve seen your YouTube channel, about 1 month ago you made a video about how you made $17, have more people played this game to upper your earnings? So my last question is *was this game worth to make?

Good luck and all the best

### 4/5 — Love it, but there’s one problem.

*2019-10-27, version 1.02*

This game is awesome! I love how it rarely gives you ads, I see an ad probably once every 15 minutes while playing this which is pretty good in terms of not being annoyed with ads. The only time I mainly watch ads is with the start with a better multiplier thing, which is honestly kinda op. I also like how the only thing that’s paid for is a cosmetic item, so you can’t just get an op item and just get to 1k+ easily. But the problem is, those little bugs that can kill you are annoying. I understand there has to be a way for you to die other than it getting too dark, but seriously? I mean, these bugs are perfectly in line with where you need to go, you just can’t avoid them. The game is awesome, but it would be extremely awesome if you just made the bugs nerfed a bit, maybe so the bugs just fly around not inside of circles or in between you and the circle. But anyways, the game is pretty neat! The bugs are the only thing stopping me from a 5 star review.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great game, very simple.

*2022-01-08, version 1.02*

As an honest review, this is game is so much fun because of all the unlockables and the scoring progression. The art is gorgeous, and the music fits perfect. If you liked his game, check out his channel on YouTube: DevDuck. And no this is not a bot, I just genuinely think this is an incredible game

### 5/5 — Great game! Here is some feedback, please read.

*2020-10-27, version 1.02*

I love this game. I found it through your youtube channel, and I am in love! But, I would like if you added some new backgrounds or characters, because once you unlock all of them, there isn’t really a point. I know you were talking about adding a leaderboard, but this would still be a great addition to the game. For example, my high score is 1005, and I can’t unlock anything. I still play it everyday though, so please add a new background or character to unlock.

### 5/5 — Great Game For on the Go

*2020-09-29, version 1.02*

I have been playing this app for a week and I can’t stop. It’s really great and I love it. Some ideas are for a character you can get a special power up. For example the grasshopper could get an extra life if score was over 20 and if you want to get another life you could watch an ad or for the update to stay you can pay.Just some tips

### 5/5 — Nice simple play loop!

*2020-08-23, version 1.02*

Found the fame through your devlog while learning to mess with unity myself. I really like the game a lot, even though when I was watching I figured it wasn’t the type of game for me as I don’t like mobile gaming.

However I found the gameplay loop phenomenal! A nice simple scheme and the unlocks challenging enough that they were fair but you could still get them with enough persistence. I wouldn’t have minded an extra tier of each as I got everything. But I feel a nice sense of accomplishment for a small time invested which is something I can’t say of most mobile experiences!

Happy to support and will continue to do so!

### 5/5 — Hi well done Ben

*2020-07-26, version 1.02*

Good game Ben

### 5/5 — Really cool. Gives me hope as an indie developer

*2020-07-26, version 1.02*

I’m here from one of your YouTube videos.

Great app! It’s simple, but a pretty creative/original thought. Seems like I’m a little ways behind you as an indie developer, so it’s fun to see your progress and success.

In the game, progression is a little hard for me. It feels like my bug’s impact on forest brightness is too small. But perhaps I’m just not good at the game yet.

The first published game is a big achievement! Great work

### 5/5 — Game

*2020-07-14, version 1.02*

Game pretty cool ngl

### 5/5 — Fast paced and addictive!

*2020-06-13, version 1.02*

I really enjoy this game and it’s always bringing me back! It’s just simple and a lot fun, anyone can pick it up and give it a go! Also, I really like the developer of the game and think he does great work. It was interesting to see how he developed this game, and his dedication to it. You should definitely give this game a try!!

### 5/5 — Great Job

*2020-06-13, version 1.02*

I found this app through your YouTube channel and I have it a shot. The more I played the more satisfying the game got. Great job.

### 5/5 — Good and relaxing

*2020-05-31, version 1.02*

The first time of me opening the game I was surprised about how good the game is. For how little and simple it seems, it's not all that bad. I played this game for a few hours now so far and I'm actually enjoying it. I think I'll keep playing this one for a little longer. I'm not to big on mobile games as a whole but I think this one is worth a try!!

In terms of bugs I didn't see any. When you over shoot a circle the screen goes darker and darker until the void consumes you.
There are bats that fly across the screen. They themselves are what I think that sell this game to me. It's fun trying to fill in circles and dodge bats because it adds more of a challenge that this game would other wise need to have. The bats always put me on edge not knowing where they will come from.

The final thing is. The selection screen. I love 8-bit and pixel art. I love there isn't just one character but many to unlock. Love the ambient music, the background, and the simple "dong" noise that plays when you fill a circle. Adding more to the "relaxing" title.

In all it's a great game and I can't wait for the developer to continue making updates and games!
