I shoot on Sony and can’t connect via FTP. Also even when I’ve tried various upload methods with proper time signatures, the app still says I can’t connect or accept shoots. Also the text notifications don’t indicate that they’re from Blink so whenever I get inquiries I’m thoroughly confused by the random texts that provide no context. ### 2/5 — Onboarding is really glitchy *2020-12-28, version 1.4.1* The idea is great. I passed the background check, but then i got snagged. Their onboarding process is broken and not so trustworthy. ### 2/5 — Interesting idea *2020-10-02, version 1.3.5* This is a great idea, before I was doing photography more full time I was also nannying and I have an app just like this but for babysitting! This app though is not as efficient as the babysitting app, as the photographer I don’t like the complicated connectivity tests and not being able to shoot in raw(I understand the app can only use jpeg) but it’s just not easy and efficient. The idea is there it just needs a simpler app. ### 1/5 — Does not open *2020-01-10, version 1.0.2* After multiple attempts to register the app always gets stuck with the message “Error 409.” Disappointing. ### 1/5 — Not ready for release... *2020-01-09, version 1.0.2* Let’s hope this is v1. Unimpressive app . - payment screen not figured for AMEX - “share” feature doesn’t integrate with Contacts (must enter phone number - who knows those!) - 10 min time/duration selection feature not working unless you select another time first. - would expect an intuitive beautiful functional app from a company in the creative space making the move to app-based - you can do better! I will try later... ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Baseless hiring practices *2022-11-29, version 1.6.0* My friend who has no experience in photography told me about the app. I just got a rejection from them. I have over 12 years of experience as a photographer. While my friend she has no professional experience in photography. She was hired, while I was rejected. They never asked to see any of my work. So it’s clearly based on my name and me being a black photographer that they based it on. While my friend who is white, with a “European centric” name. They hired her, so yeah this app is clearly discriminatory in their hiring practices and don’t actually do any type of vetting. As long as you have a white washed name they’ll hire you. ### 1/5 — Poor setup *2022-10-29, version 1.6.0* You schedule a time, the photograph can’t do it (ones Blink served up to you), you get charged and photographer can’t do it and you have to wait 7-10 days for a refund. That is beyond backwards. I was excited to use this service but am moving on after this bad experience ### 1/5 — Rude customer service *2021-12-09, version 1.4.7* I'm a photographer and I got two photoshoot from this App I tried more than 20 times do the connection test didn't works and I emailed those peaple many times not responding and I got phone call from someone he was very rude with I was trying to understand how the payment going he didn't answer my questions and end the call by if you don't know those things you have search so you are now longer on the platform then cancel all the photoshoot was on my schedule ### 1/5 — No photographers in VA *2021-01-03, version 1.4.2* App is great for potential. It needs to expand more. I can’t book anyone in my county. New York has a lot of photographers to book, but VA has none. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2020-07-04, version 1.3.0* I can’t tell if the app is for the consumer or the photographer. Store phone has no updates about opening. Would not be surprised if this company fails. Horrible customer interface. It’s just not that hard to have an updated phone recording or an app that works. ### 1/5 — Middle finger to once loyal customers *2020-03-02, version 1.0.4* Half baked app that doesn’t have 1/10 the nice user experience from the website. Doesn’t show image numbers, takes forever to load absolutely any page. Mobile photography offering is a joke, can’t see anyone’s portfolio or communicate preferences ahead of the shoot. Claiming to be the first mobile photographer service.. hello, Snappr has been around for ages and blows them out of the water in price, user experience and quality of photos. Also not impressed with the photography of the brick and mortar, they always pull out the most EXTRA props for professional headshots. FYI, no ones looking for poses sitting on a rustic milk crate on LinkedIn. Overall they just seem really out of touch with what the customer actually wants. ### 1/5 — All data lost *2020-02-28, version 1.0.4* All my purchased photos are all lost , email and ask support for help and response is “ please allow some time to sync” , yet , already 2 months Very disappointed with this ### 1/5 — So disappointed *2020-02-26, version 1.0.4* First of all, I lost almost all of my older photo shoots, which makes me sad sad and mad. But this is also a Horrible app - not user friendly at all. Why did you change your old system? ### 1/5 — Horrible app for clients *2020-02-06, version 1.0.3* Terrible to use, seemingly designed to make it hard to find and select individual photos, so you will pay to buy out the entire shoot. Once you do pay, downloaded photos are about 1MB, resolution and quality no better than an iPhone. Some corporate bonehead must have come up with this app idea, which will surely destroy goodwill towards and loyalty to this once-good company. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work *2020-01-16, version 1.0.2* I’ve purchased many pics/shoots and none of them are showing up in the app. I went to login to my account through the website and you can’t do that anymore so if you didn’t download your purchased pics or forgot where you stored them after you downloaded then you you’re out of luck.
