Incredibly frustrating when you’ve spent time writing in notes from the teacher and highlighting key parts to review and rewrite later… I would never use this again except that a language school I’m taking classes from uses a book I can’t get in print in Canada. If they don't fix these issue…stay far away. ### 1/5 — I fear for my personal information / Temo por mi información personal *2021-04-21, version 4.15.0* In order to use this application one needs to create an account at Blink Shop and pay the books through the web. After I created my account I received an email with the password I just entered in the website. I cannot emphasize enough how insecure an email is, anyone can read it. I complained in their webpage and they promptly answered me indicating that they fixed the issue and will not longer be showing the sensitive information. However, if they could sed the password in clear text over email they can read my password (stored in clear text as well). If they get hacked (and we know how feasible this is) my information and all yours will be exposed. Password should never be stored in plain text, they should be hashed and salted. I write this review because after their first answer indicating the email fix they disregarded the rest of the communication referring to the password storage. Para usar esta aplicación se debe crear una cuenta en Blink Shop y hacer el pago de los libros en la página web. Al finalizar mi inscripción recibí un email de esta plataforma con mi clave. No se cómo enfatizar que un email es un método inseguro de comunicación y que cualquier persona puede leerlo. Puse una queja en su página web y atendieron mi queja indicando que habían corregido el error y que ya no desplegarían más esta información sensible. Sin embargo, si ellos pudieron enviar mi contraseña por email quiere decir que la tienen almacenada de manera legible, si los hackean (y ya sabemos lo probable que esto es) mi información y la de todos ustedes queda expuesta. Las claves nunca deberían ser almacenadas de manera directa, deberían estar “hashed and salted” no se como escribirlos en español. Escribo esta calificación ya que luego de corregir el envío de password por email desecharon rápidamente el resto de mis comentarios. I bought a Hueber ebook expecting a usable digital version of the course, but instead it’s been a total waste of money. The “interactive” activities don’t even match the book, notes written with their clunky editor vanish the moment you close the app, and the navigation is a nightmare. The whole experience feels unfinished and unusable. Save yourself the frustration and avoid at all costs. Whoever signed off on this app should seriously reconsider their line of work. ### 1/5 — Too much space. *2025-05-06, version 6.4.2* App takes up too much space, around 11GB for me. Klett App did not work at all on my iPad and is not user friendly but this app is. There are some errors on the digital book I use, nothing major. I enjoy that you can check instantly the words you don’t know. I wish there was an easier way to take notes with the app itself and that I could faster switch between highlighter and pencil. There is still room for improvement . ### 2/5 — iCloud Storage Issues *2026-01-16, version 6.8.0* Downloading a title in-app instantly caused my iCloud back to exceed the free 5 GB storage limit, but no options existed in settings to prevent this app from being backed up.
