### 2/5 — App no longer functional

*2025-10-30, version 1.2.0*

Used to work well but now says api remote no longer available

### 4/5 — It does work eventually - Tips

*2025-08-04, version 1.2.0*

Took hours to get this version 1.2.0 to work. They don't make it easy.
First - you MUST "link your email". It doesn't work with Apple's "Hide My Email" - I used a burner gmail and it worked fine.
My advice is to look around the app (find the Bluetooth switch under EZ mode - you need both Bluetooh AND a 2.4 GHz WiFi. You won't see the color adjustment screens shown here until you link an email. Go thru all the apps settings - privacy, notifications, etc. You need to turn everything on, but you can opt out of advertising and such.
They want every permission, you have to agree to all kinds of stuff, it's non-intuitive (even after you get it working) but it does work to adjust all the settings and save it as a scene.
I have the Evolve wichi was a $20 bargain on Amazon. It was hard to get the colors, speed, and brightness of the blue stars as subtle as I wanted, but I got close - it'll work. Good Luck!

### 1/5 — Stopped working with Alexa

*2025-07-26, version 1.2.0*

Stopped working with Alexa out of the blue. It happened in the past and the problem got solved within 24 / 48 hours. It’s been 2 weeks and I still can’t connect the account to Alexa anymore. I literally bought this specific sky light because of the Alexa compatibility. Very, very disappointed that nothing is being done to fix the problem! 👎🏻

### 1/5 — Don’t get it

*2025-07-02, version 1.2.0*

You can’t connect your light show without proper wifi. It’s a kind of long process for absolute disappointment please do not try it I couldn’t even get this thing running for a second after trying hours

### 1/5 — Lights excellent - app very buggy

*2025-06-28, version 1.2.0*

I bought 2 Blissradias to replace some hue blooms I was using for Alexa-controlled night lights. The lights are very good value but the sotware is very buggy. On my iPad the initial screen often comes up as blank white and the only cure is to reboot. Also bringing up the intensity adjustment is very erratic, fails 90% of time. The app seems new and inadequately tested. Pity, because the harware is fine and very good value.

### 3/5 — Not consistent at all

*2025-04-07, version 1.2.0*

I have 2 for my kids room and they both took way too long to connect. Now that they are the functions on the app at horrible. Selection between the taps is like it doesn’t register that I’m clicking my screen and why isn’t this app connected to the BlissLights app. Why is it a separate app? Seems counterproductive

### 1/5 — Trash app

*2025-04-06, version 1.2.0*

Unusable. Freezes constantly. Terrible UI. Fix it

### 2/5 — Lack of functionality

*2025-02-28, version 1.2.0*

The remote control through Alexa worked flawlessly until about 2 months ago, then all of a sudden after an update it stopped. The app stated the device now needed to be “activated” and kept pushing for me to give my location. After following all the steps and troubleshooting for a while it just won’t allow the activation, so now I’m stuck using only the clunky app controller whenever I want to use the projector

### 3/5 — please please fix the bugs & ui/ux

*2025-02-26, version 1.2.0*

I love your product and used to have an easy time navigating the app but now it’s super buggy please fix thank you!! (p.s. are you currently hiring for app dev or ui/ux?)

### 1/5 — Unresponsive App

*2025-02-21, version 1.2.0*

Sometimes it works other times it does nothing.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work after update

*2025-02-15, version 1.2.0*

I’m not sure what happened, but it started having issues after the app updated. Then it stopped working completely with the latest Apple update. Now, it doesn’t work at all. My device won’t stay connected for even an hour, so I’m constantly having to reconnect. Troubleshooting is useless. It worked perfectly before and now I’m ready to throw out the whole thing. The same thing happened to my roommate’s app and my mom’s.

### 1/5 — Chinese Bloatware

*2025-02-14, version 1.2.0*

Absolutely no reason a bluetooth device needs your email, location, and wifi password to work. ??? This company just wants your data. All that was needed was a bluetooth controller without the extra steps.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t connect tried everything

*2025-02-02, version 1.2.0*

I tried connecting it hundreds of times then seem to work says network week or something. My network is very good. I have Wi-Fi with cell. It might have bugs too.

### 1/5 — Why!!!!!

*2025-01-27, version 1.2.0*

Really confusing it has a simple prompt, but doesn’t have a follow through if zero star was an option. This will certainly be it because this is also a waste of time.

### 3/5 — Needs Software Update

*2025-01-21*

This device is great when everything is working, but I have to keep “activating” it every single day for some reason. It’s like it resets or something because I have I have put in my WiFi password again and set up my automatic timers and settings. Can the developers please update the software to fix this? I know there is a new model out, but I like this one and have had it less than six months.

### 1/5 — One star

*2024-12-30, version 1.2.0*

This app is so brutal.
So hard to connect, always looses connection and then just resets anytime you open the app.
Why is there no setting that saves the theme and brightness. Everytime I put my kids to bed I need to go on an reset the brightness to the lowest option.
Would not recommend this lamp as you can’t use it without this app.

### 1/5 — Never connected, trash app

*2024-12-25, version 1.2.0*

Constantly asks for wi fi or bluetooth to be turned on when they already are, never once successfully connected, and no instructions in box so had to hunt those down online

All in all super, super dissatisfied with this thing

### 1/5 — Never connects

*2024-12-25, version 1.2.0*

This app fails in all the connectivity options given. Worthless product and app

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App is broken

*2025-12-17, version 1.2.0*

Unable to log in due to an API issue for months

### 1/5 — Unusable now

*2025-11-04, version 1.2.0*

Before it worked now I can’t even logging

### 1/5 — Suddenly stopped working

*2025-10-26, version 1.2.0*

Had the devices for over a year and a half. Moved to a new place with a new WiFi network and suddenly I can’t add devices, as the app locks up when I try.

Great until about a month ago.

### 1/5 — Totally Unintuitive App only half works

*2025-10-23, version 1.2.0*

Gosh I’ve had the BlissLights Sky Lite Evolve for over a year, created an account with BlissHome and it worked with the app and with Alexa for a little while. But then and it just suddenly stopped working with Alexa. I can see it on my network, although investigation through the app tells me that the IP address it gets is not even in the range of the network that we have so I’m perplexed as to how I’m even able to turn it on and off because my router sees it but reports an IP address that does make sense so I suspect it’s the app itself that has problems — not the device or our network. Beyond the connectivity issue the app itself is totally obtuse. For now I can’t do much with it other than turn the unit on and turn it off, and change a few settings. I still can’t link it back with Alexa. I get an error that doesn’t tell me very much. I’ve tried decoupling it from Alexa and re-coupling it and that doesn’t work either. Based on the dismal ratings the company’s linking skill gets online at Amazon I’m not alone. Someone needs to spend some serious time taking a look at how they’ve set these devices up because right now I’m not very happy with it. For the life of me I don’t understand why manufacturers don’t get that their apps used with these devices require as much attention to detail as do the devices themselves. And since they’ve come out with a newer projection device you would think would use the same app for control, they’ve written a completely different and new app for that device. It says they’ve pretty much abandoned this app. I know I’d remember if it had been updated anytime within recent memory. So disappointing.

### 1/5 — PLEASE FIX

*2025-09-02, version 1.2.0*

It stopped pairing with my alexa in July and has not worked since. I can still control in the app but the value is being able to pair it with smart home device. When it worked it was great.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work like it used to

*2025-08-13, version 1.2.0*

Won’t work properly. Moved to a new house, set it up and the schedule won’t work.

### 1/5 — Downgraded to one star

*2025-08-09*

From only two, before.

This app hasn’t been updated in three years.

Can’t recommend Blisslights at all, now. Much better products on the market, with apps that work, and are updated.

Look elsewhere for lighting!

___________________________

I have over a dozen Evolves, four Velarus lights, and four H20 globes…and this app almost makes me regret buying every single one of them.

I don’t have the connection problems other reviewers seem to have; initial setup was straightforward enough.

BUT.

If the wifi goes out, the devices will not automatically reconnect. Which means I have to reconnect around 20 devices every…time…that…happens.

Unacceptable. Govee figured this out, why can’t Blisslights?!

The globes simply do not respond to the app except in the most random fashion. I have four of those; setting each one to the same theme produces four separate results, none of them correct.

I also have a Blisslights Radia. That one often just crashes the app entirely.

In general, this app is buggy, slow, and half-baked — many options don’t work, entire sections are labeled in Chinese, and the whole thing us just sloppy.

Boooo! Fix this, Blisslights! Your lights are great, but this app is terrible.

### 1/5 — Didn’t work

*2025-08-07, version 1.2.0*

I can’t even add the device. I’ve turned everything off and on, uninstalled app reinstalled etc. I knew it was too good to be true for $19.99. Wish there was a zero star since I can’t do anything.

### 1/5 — Support Abandoned This

*2025-08-02, version 1.2.0*

This will not link to Alexa now. A billion tries, but I see a lot of people have had the same issue—for a long time. It feels like this was a scam—buy our products, and then we will abandon them, and make new ones under a different name.

### 1/5 — No longer connects to Amazon

*2025-07-28, version 1.2.0*

Bought this specifically because it worked with Alexa. After the last update it no longer connects to Alexa.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — so nice!

*2025-02-11, version 1.2.0*

easy to connect, took less than 5 mins, easy to use, change light color easily

### 5/5 — straightforward

*2024-12-30, version 1.2.0*

idk what the reviews are on about i connected the projector in like a minute it wasn’t hard 😭

### 5/5 — Set up took 5 minutes

*2024-12-25, version 1.2.0*

Nice and easy. Love being able to adjust the temperature, brightness, and speed of the nebula and the stars on my Evolve. First saw these lights at Children’s hospital, in my room at my last visit. Calm and lovely vibe, and I wanted it at my house!

### 5/5 — Easy to connect! Took less than 3 minutes

*2024-12-08*

I don’t know why all these reviews are so horrible, it literally took me about 2 minutes to connect and one minute to update. Just make sure your phone is first connected to 2.4 WiFi and then connect the device to it. Super easy and responsive. Don’t have bad WiFi and you’ll connect fast

### 5/5 — Setup Took Me 2 Minutes

*2024-07-19*

I’m not discounting the other reviews but, setting up the app and connecting it to my Evolve was very simple - took me 2 minutes. I’m used to tech though. The app is simple and straightforward - it has options to control the speed, color, and brightness of the clouds and dots. You can also customize the timer - the default is six (6) hours. The app does what it’s meant to and it’s easy to use.

### 5/5 — Long setup but great utility

*2024-07-13*

Not sure why others are rating it so low, lazy millennials probably expect plug n play connectivity in a product that cost less than $20.
Lazy shaming aside, this is a great app to use and took less than 5 minutes to connect and to even create a few custom colors like Deep Red or my personal favorite Chili Rainbow.

### 5/5 — Great remote control app

*2024-05-15*

Not sure why all the reviews are so negative. I got an Evolve and it connected within a couple minutes, no hassle at all. Gives control over schedule, timer, cloud brightness and speed, and laser brightness and speed. As well as the ability to create custom scenes.

### 5/5 — Set up in less than 5 minutes

*2024-03-09*

This app worked great for me! No problems at all. With the app you can change brightness of the stars or turn them off which is what I wanted and you can change how fast everything moves. And there is a large range of colors you can pick. Barely took me any time to connect my device and figure out everything!

### 5/5 — Amazing so easy to set up!

*2023-12-29, version 1.2.0*

Don’t listen to the bad reviews it’s great it only took 5 minutes and works great would get thx bye

### 5/5 — Set up was easy

*2023-12-25, version 1.2.0*

I was apprehensive when reading the reviews but the set up was simple and easy. App is easy to navigate and use.
