## What is Blitzer?

Caught by a speed camera, or not sure what an offence costs? Set the speed you were doing on the gauge and you see the fine at once: with the maths, the consequences for your licence and a link to the law. Free, no ads, no account, no tracking. Works offline, too.

FINE CALCULATOR
• Pick the limit on the sign, then urban, rural or motorway
• Set the speed on the gauge: the fine levels are drawn in, so you see at once where you land
• Every measuring method with its safety margin: radar, laser, radar from a moving car, radar in a bend, section control, police car following
• One switch for mopeds and e-bikes, one for a probationary licence
• The fine slip shows the amount, the maths, licence withdrawal, criminal record and costs
• Beyond fixed fines: reports to the prosecutor with the prosecutors' guideline amount, and the reckless driving threshold for each limit

THE COMPLETE FINE CATALOGUE
• Every fixed fine in Switzerland by topic: speed, phone, red lights, following distance, parking, seat belts, children, bikes, e-bikes and much more
• For each fine the official wording and a link to the legal text
• Guides: fixed fine or prosecution, what happens after the flash, warning and licence withdrawal, new drivers and probation, reckless driving, fines from abroad

SEARCH EVERYTHING
• Even with questions like “92 in 80” or “phone at the wheel”

CHECKLISTS
• Vehicle check before you set off
• “Flashed - what now?” and “After an accident”: step by step
• Trip assistant: answer nine questions and get the list for your holiday, country by country, with reminders for deadlines

ABROAD, TOO
• Calculator and fines for Liechtenstein, Germany, Austria, France and Italy

FROM THE OFFICIAL SOURCES
Every amount comes from the official legal texts, such as the Fixed Penalties Ordinance, the Road Traffic Act, the Traffic Rules Ordinance and the FEDRO ordinance with the measuring margins. Tap a source to open the legal text. As of October 2026.

In English, German, French and Italian.

All information without guarantee. The official texts and the decision of the authority are binding. The app is not an offer of the Swiss Confederation or any other authority. It does not show speed camera locations and does not warn of police checks.
