Security compromised… don’t rely on this ### 2/5 — Basic at best *2023-04-27, version 1.2.2* Very basic app, no integration with HomeKit which is very disappointing. Struggles to get any battery life reading from the blinds and don’t appreciate another random bridge/hub in the network to get connected and automated. However blinds work, relatively easy to configure, can fudge automations with Shortcuts etc. ### 3/5 — A bit clunky and online instructions lacking *2021-11-21, version 1.2.1* The app does what it says it does so good but… Seems ‘clunky’ in terms of usage - some blinds (although the same) have more positioning options. Also, like a previous review stated, finding the pairing instructions to Alexa online is difficult and as no instructions came with the required hub this was problematic - remember to place your Wi-Fi on 2.4ghz and search in Alexa skills for ‘connector’ in order to link (the IoT page on the app menu could do with updating!) ### 1/5 — Stopped working! *2021-06-10, version 1.2.1* Just suddenly stopped working after 12 months of no issues at all. Cannot even log in to the app, just gets stuck on “Loading....” I have deleted and reinstalled and still no luck. Not good. Come on bloc blinds get it fixed. ### 3/5 — Things you need to know *2021-03-01, version 1.2.1* This app and the instructions from bloc Blinds Lacking clarity 1. Disable 5ghz on your WiFi to connect the hub(you can enable it right after) only works on 2.5 ghz 2. To connect to Alexa search CONNECTOR in skills it's the first one on the list. If these 2 steps were clear I wouldn't have wasted half a day Once connected seems to work fine ### 1/5 — Instructions are woefully inadequate *2021-01-24, version 1.2.1* Bloc Blinds produce some superficially slick instruction videos but they lack essential information. It is mentioned in passing that the hub operates on 2.4g but it is not explained that the hub will not pair unless only 2.4g Wi-Fi is available. Generally, access points now offer both 2.4g and 5g. To pair the hub, it is necessary first to turn 2.4g off. Once paired, the set up is fairly straightforward until one gets to linking with Google Assistant. Bloc Blinds do not offer any instructions on their website to help here. In the app menu under 'More IoT settings', there is a broken link to instructions on You Tube. Searching You Tube, I could not find the missing instructions. The Bloc iQ hub is not on the 'Works with Google' list in the Google app and using the "Link Now" button in the Google Assistant tab under 'More IoT settings' opens the Google app but does not cause the hub to link with Google. It seems that Bloc Blinds have not kept the app up to date. ### 4/5 — Nice App *2019-12-10, version 1.2.0* Other than the blinds appearing as lights in Alexa, the whole system works really well. I have three blinds in my house - will happily buy more. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2019-09-29, version 1.0.3* Got the hub to connect to WiFi but app won’t pair with remote. Instruction videos of no help as blinds do not behave as indicated. Very disappointed. Specifically bought these blinds to pair with Alexa. ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2019-06-13, version 1.0.2* Can not connect the bridge/hub to the WiFi connection despite hours of trying. Customer service seem to have no solution to the problem.
