## What is Block Codex?

Block Codex is a real-world exploration game. Your mission: walk every block in New York City. All 120,000+ of them.

THE GAME
Open the app and start walking. Every block you walk gets marked on your map. Blue blocks are conquered, gray blocks are still waiting. Your goal is simple: turn the entire map blue.

The city is divided into 50+ neighborhoods across five boroughs. You can tackle them one at a time or bounce around - your strategy is up to you. Some neighborhoods are huge, some are tiny. Some are packed with streets, others have long avenues. Each one is a mini-challenge.

LEVEL UP YOUR STREAK
Walking the same blocks over and over won't help you. The game only counts new blocks - you have to keep exploring to make progress. Walk new ground every day and you'll build a streak:
- 5 days: You're getting serious
- 30 days: This is a lifestyle now
- 300 days: Legendary status!

Miss a day and your streak resets to zero. No mercy.

COMPLETION ZONES
Each neighborhood shows a completion percentage. Hit 100% and that zone is done. But there are always more blocks waiting. The game is massive - finishing even one borough is an accomplishment.

THE INTERFACE
No tutorial needed. The map fills your screen. Tap a neighborhood to zoom in. Toggle between "show all blocks" and "show only unwalked blocks" to plan your route. Your stats sit at the top. That's the whole game.

SOLO PLAY ONLY
This is you versus the city. No leaderboards, no social features, no comparing progress with friends. Your walking data lives on your phone and nowhere else. We don't collect anything or track anything.

WHO SHOULD PLAY
People who like completion challenges. Urban explorers who need a goal. New Yorkers who want to really know their city. Anyone who's ever played a 100% completion run in a video game and thought "what if I did this in real life?"
