### 3/5 — Good App for blocking, but instagram doesn’t work

*2026-07-15, version 4.10.6*

Great app for blocking most things, But it fails to block suggested posts on instagram. The whole idea for me wanting this app is to prevent endlessly scrolling content. These suggested posts are 90% reels.

### 3/5 — Buggy

*2026-06-29, version 4.10.6*

Some weeks it works well, other weeks functions I’ve blocked appear which is annoying since I’ve paid for the app

### 2/5 — Inconsistent

*2026-05-28, version 4.10.3*

It use to work great, but now it only blocks the Instagram feed sometimes. Sometimes it blocks it. Often it doesn’t.

### 3/5 — Doesn’t block YouTube recommendations in 2026

*2026-01-09, version 4.9.0*

Needs to be updated

### 3/5 — Recommended posts not being blocked

*2026-01-06, version 4.9.0*

Disappointed that after paying for this app, recommended posts stop being blocked on instagram. Still good for removing reels and explore page but not working entirely as intended.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-12-29, version 4.8.7*

Is there a Mac version?

### 5/5 — Been using this app for years

*2025-12-01, version 4.8.5*

Does exactly what it says. Keeps me from doom scrolling, highly recommend. The small upfront 4 dollar cost for the year saves me 10’s of hours.

### 5/5 — The best so far

*2025-11-26, version 4.8.5*

Probably the best and healthiest balance of social media usage with this app

### 5/5 — Keeps out all of the things that keep you from being productive.

*2025-11-20*

Great app for blocking newsfeeds and reels. I strongly recommend it as an alternative to Newsfeed Eradicator on Chrome. Yes there’s a small subscription fee associated with it, but it’s worth your time. Only recommendation I would have is to have a free tier for those just looking to try it out.

### 2/5 — Not free

*2025-10-09, version 4.8.1*

Can’t do anything for free need to do a subscription no one time fee or anything like that. Other then that based of other reviews the app seems fine. But yah there’s no way to use it for free

### 5/5 — $4 a year to get my life back is a bargain.

*2025-10-03, version 4.8.1*

Youtube with no comments, NO SHORTS, no feeds. Finally able to use it like as an informational tool. same with Reddit, all feeds blocked. but i can still view helpful reddit threads through a google search. i’m free from the two biggest algorithms that take over my life. This extension is killer.

### 2/5 — iOS 26

*2025-09-29, version 4.8.1*

Doesn’t see to be working on iOS 26 or maybe I’m not doing it right but I followed instructions properly

### 5/5 — Fixes social media

*2025-09-23, version 4.8.1*

This app makes social media work in the way I think it always should have. No more endless scrolling through feeds or explore pages, no more brain rot reels. No more toxic comments sections. All I see is my friends and family and anyone I’ve chosen to follow. I can still message them, search for stuff and see groups but my life feels genuinely better without those negatives. The team are really responsive as well if one of the corporations realise they aren’t sucking your life away as efficiently as before and try to stop content blockers from working. If you report the issue they get fixed in quick

### 5/5 — Does exactly what it says it does! :)

*2025-08-19*

I was looking for an extension to block just the “feed” portions of certain sites so I wouldn’t get distracted or get sidetracked while working. This does exactly that (and more). Happy to pay for this since sites update all the time. Having it work across both macOS and iOS is a huge bonus.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — It’s paid

*2026-02-02*

It’s listed as free on the App Store, but it’s unusable unless you subscribe. A pretty bad pattern for farming users.

### 1/5 — Deceptive.

*2026-01-14, version 4.9.0*

They make you set it all up before letting you know it’s subscription based. Just be upfront about it instead of trying to trick us into it!

### 1/5 — No longer works

*2025-12-31, version 4.9.0*

Updated the app and no longer works unless I pay a yearly subscription

### 1/5 — Worked well but then….

*2025-11-28, version 4.8.5*

This app worked well for a month or so but now it doesn’t block ANYTHING from IG. Works great for YouTube but I paid for the year and it literally no longer works to block anything from IG

### 1/5 — Do not buy

*2025-11-09, version 4.8.4*

Charged a once lifetime fee then only offered a subscription now to keep it going

### 1/5 — Switch from lifetime to subscription

*2025-10-06, version 4.8.1*

As others have said, the switch from a lifetime purchase to a recurring subscription without notification or opt-out is illegal and an immoral bait-and-switch. Gives me no confidence I’ll be able to keep using the app, even if I subscribe (which I wouldn’t on principle). Absolute trash move. 1 star.

### 1/5 — Paywall

*2025-08-11, version 4.7.0*

Not worth that price per month

### 1/5 — Revoking lifetime memberships to force subscription

*2025-06-07, version 4.7.0*

Just went in to tweak some settings after a long time of not opening only to find that I now need to subscribe to use it. Messed up. Along with all the other reviewers recently. You (the dev) can try to justify it every which way, but this is morally wrong, and hopefully illegal.

### 1/5 — subscription based content blockers are unsustainable and a ripoff

*2025-03-25, version 4.6.6*

false advertising. leave the app store NOW

### 1/5 — Bait and switch trash

*2024-10-23, version 4.4.2*

Garbage dev made a bait and switch app. Nice try.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Well done

*2026-08-13*

Works simpler and better than I would have expected.
An easy way to block harmful effects of social media without having to worry about what you’d lose canceling.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-07-16, version 4.10.6*

Does exactly what it says - I can enjoy YouTube again without getting sucked into shorts. Very happy and excellent value for money.

### 5/5 — The ONLY thing that’s worked

*2026-05-26, version 4.10.3*

I cannot praise this app enough. After trying so many apps, hardware solutions, blocking websites, and struggling for 4 years, I finally found this app and it solved my chronic screen addiction immediately, now in my 3rd year of using it.
I blocked YouTube shorts/suggested, Instagram stories/explore/reels, and various websites. I can still access Instagram chat and watch YouTube, but it blocks the stuff meant to keep you addicted. Wish this app was made when I was younger. Get this for yourself and your kids if you have them.

### 5/5 — Does the job, does require subscription tho

*2026-05-14*

I enjoy how intentional I’ve become on social media with using this app. I just go in, search for what I want, and come right back out. There’s no worry of being tempted with recommended videos, friends stories, unnecessary LinkedIn posts. Yes you need to pay to get in, I don’t really mind it, personally it has been worth it to me, and may be to you if you relate to anything I mentioned.

### 5/5 — Wish I found this sooner

*2026-03-31, version 4.10.2*

If you are glued to your iPhone especially social media like instagram mainly you can delete the app and log in on the website for it to work then add the app to your Home Screen, will keep using can now upload without consuming content!

### 5/5 — Changed my life

*2026-03-28, version 4.7.0*

This app changed my life. I am finally free from my social media addiction. I can go on Youtube and see ONLY my subscription feed, and watch a video and there are no comments or suggested videos. I can go on reddit ONLY for a post I found on google. If I do want to scroll, I can disable the blocks and then enable them again when I'm done.

### 5/5 — Life saver

*2026-03-17, version 4.10.2*

This app feels like a beacon of light in the dark. All my social media now serves a clear function, and never pulls me away from my current task or state of mind.

Truly so pivotal for my mental health and general wellbeing. Dare I say life changing- not even an exaggeration. Thank you endlessly to the developer. I pray I can use this app for years to come.

### 5/5 — Worth it !!

*2026-03-17*

I rarely give reviews on apps but I feel like this app truly deserves a good review. It has helped me curve my phone addiction so much and along with it my spending habit. I am a loyal user and I encourage everyone to try it. Great app and the value it provides is well worth the subscription.

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2026-03-06, version 4.10.1*

This app has been so pivotal for my mental health and general wellbeing. It has opened the gateway to intentional technolgy use. Thank you devs!

### 5/5 — Good functionality, fair price

*2026-01-19, version 4.9.1*

Looking at the other reviews it seems like the developer really cares and is active in making this working.

More than happy to pay the £4/year for the improvement it has on my life.

Thank you
