Man kann den MM aktivieren und es werden auch 16 Parts als Midi Mixer dargestellt aber ich finde nirgends eine Zuweisung, welches Preset auf welchem Part 1-16 gespielt werden soll. ### 4/5 — Awesome app version of an awesome synth. Needs optimization *2025-05-09, version 1.0.3* I have no problems running the app and AUv3 on my iPad Air 3. The UI is a bit janky but still very useable. There is now a spiritual successor of WaveGenerator and Cassini on the App Store. The serum wavetable import works extremely well, though some old sysex files don’t import properly. Also, I can’t run more than 7 instances at a high buffer. Otherwise, great synth for pads and trance ### 4/5 — Zero presets at first but great sound and mostly decent UI *2025-05-07, version 1.0.3* When I first opened it as an AUV3 as the other reviewer said, there were no presets. Deleted it, downloaded again, opened as standalone and there they were and they were still there this time in the AUV3 too. The hassle was not great, but the sounds truly are. I also have Microwave 1, the best AUV3 synth I’ve seen yet, and if you’re wondering about overlap like I was, this is well worth it for more incredible and very unique sounds at $12.99. The much more skeuomorphic Microwave 1 really shines in the UI experience too, but this is “just decent” in my opinion because it’s a shame that we couldn’t preserve the hands on experience of the blofeld device itself, which has a great physical design. This interface kind of seems like a web page to me, I don’t really get a good feeling of connection with an instrument like with “M1”. But I knew that I didn’t like the UI before I bought it and made the leap based on the sounds and they are simply excellent, hands down. It would be very, very nice to see an option for physical emulation mode based on the desktop hardware device in a future update, and then keep menu mode based on the plugin as it is here for those who prefer that ### 4/5 — good sound, UI needs help *2025-05-04, version 1.0.3* i love the sounds. the UI doesn’t scale well on iPad MINI so it makes pressing buttons difficult, especially presets and ARP. the button areas are just too small. ### 5/5 — Dang didn’t see that coming Kudos! *2025-04-30, version 1.0.2* Sounds lovely just scratching the surface will update after a proper play! So weit ist alles voll ok, ganz wie gewohnt was den blocked angeht. Ich habe ihn auch als Hardware. Was ich aber extrem schade finde ist das veraltete UI. Hier hatte ich tatsächlich mehr Innovation und Adaption aus Erfahrungen und Inspirationen die man in der App Entwicklung im 2025 bekommen kann. Die Bedienung ist für eine Desktop App mit Maus konzipiert und nicht für die Finger am touchscreen. Zu ungenau und Überladen. An sich ein toller Synthesizer, das war der blocked aber schon immer. Als Hardware musste er leider unter minimalisierung leider und einstecken hier jetzt am veralteten UI Konzept. Ich wurde mir wünschen dass man hier mit Modernisierung nachzieht. Diese App konnte 5 Sterne verdienen. Was ich noch nicht ausprobiert habe ich die Nutzung als Editor für die Hardware. ### 5/5 — Sounds Amazing! *2025-04-29, version 1.0.2* This is a brilliant synthesizer app. Works quite well in AUM so far. I’ve been creating and producing electronic ambient music for decades and this stands up to a lot of gear I’ve used over the years. At under $20, you couldn’t ask for a better deal than this. You won’t regret this purchase at all. Unfortunately it often doesn’t load (error) in my AUV3 hosts and when it does it often crashes. I have hundreds of AUV3’s that have never once crashed. Disappointing. Every time I select a different patch it immediately turns multi mode off. Manual also very sparse and unhelpful when trying to trouble shoot that. The individual sounds are rather flat and sound nothing like the hardware version. I guess this is new, so maybe they can improve it. And if you’re going to have a multi mode, why don’t you go ahead and include some multi presets as well? Also the volume faders in the multi-mode (that doesn’t work properly) are extremely unresponsive and require several attempts before getting them to move. ### 3/5 — Excellent Sound! *2025-06-11* Please make the Save button behave as “Save As”, with a name of current patch in the box showing, when you hit it. This would give users the option to either Overwrite, or save it as a new patch. Currently, saving the current patch as a New one is not straightforward at all, and tapping on the Save button overwrites your patch without any confirmations. I love creating presets in this awesome app, but it’s just unintuitive to save them. Aside from that, the app is really great, includes many useful presets and most importantly, has really outstanding sound quality. I have many synths and I think this one definitely brings something new to my sound palette. ### 3/5 — AUv3+Garagebandでの不具合はほぼ解決。あと一歩でパーフェクト *2025-05-19, version 1.0.5* 音はとても良いのですが、Ver1.0.3まではGaragebandと一緒にAUv3プラグインとして使おうとすると、Garagebandごと落ちる不具合が発生していました。 1.0.4以降、この不具合はなくなりましたが、GaragebandからBlofeldを起動すると、パッチのロード時間が異常に長い（15秒くらいかかる）不具合が1.0.5でも残っています。あと一歩なので頑張ってください。 ### 3/5 — Awesome synth, terrible performance *2025-05-04, version 1.0.3* I own a hardware Blofeld and I gotta say I wasn’t expecting the software version to be less reliable. It even managed to crash whilst sitting idle overnight in AUM, which made my iPad overheat and stop charging. That’s quite a feat on a M4 iPad Pro. Like the hardware version, it’s an amazing synth but has problems that need sorting out before it’s reliable enough to use in a life situation, or even in a session with anything else of significance going on. Excellent interface, though some bits are quite tiny, still makes for wonderfully simple tweaks to the already quite fantastic presets. That FM Mode swept with a slow LFO and doused in reverb is a magical experience. I’ve only messed with if for a couple of hours. I’m sure there will be some quibbles stumbled upon in time, but for now so glad to not be missing out on this well thought-out synth engine. ### 5/5 — Another Winner! *2025-08-22, version 1.0.6* I have ALL the Waldorf apps and they are, IMO, simply amazing! Ich nutze auch die Hardware und der Sound der App ist für mein Ohr absolut auf einer Ebene mit meine Blo. Der Import meiner Userbank nebst Samples von der Hardware hat perfekt geklappt. Leider treten bei mir aber noch Bugs auf: In AUM stürzt der Blofeld sehr oft ab, wenn ich eine gespeicherte Session lade. Das ist ein no-go für mich. Des Weiteren ist die Blo-App unglaublich leistungshungrig - zwei bis drei Auv3-Instanzen in AUM bringen bei komplexen Sounds bereits die CPU von meinem iPad Pro zum kochen und es kommt zu cracklern. Was ich zudem vermisse: Eine Favoriten-Funktion für die Patches wäre super. Bitte nachbessern Waldorf, dann gibts von mir auf jeden Fall 5 Sterne für diesen tollen Synth!
