Drifted away from Blogger about the same time the developer took a hiatus from active support. Just back from a road trip where I used Chrome for iPadOS and iOS for my travelblog. Clunky and slow. I see the developer has started supporting BlogTouch for Blogger (I don’t think the WordPress app is under current development) and wrote some tests drafts, which I really liked. Easy formatting, smooth integration with media like photos. However I was unable to publish or even preview a post to my travelblog. I believe in supporting independent developers. They put a lot of time and effort into their work, however since I had already paid for what I thought was a lifetime subscription to both apps, I emailed the developer to find out if my subscription was still covered, and after a week still have not heard back. Durează un minut să se încarce ultimele 3-4 postări. Pentru o aplicație cu costuri lunare la care m-am abonat, nu este admisibil. ### 4/5 — Suddenly doesn’t work *2025-08-17, version 6.8.0* The app is great, but posting suddenly doesn’t work with the error “the requested feed is deprecated” ### 3/5 — It was good while it lasted. *2025-08-13, version 6.8.0* Edit: currently broken, unable to post anything because any attempt to do so results in an error “This feed has been deprecated “. Reported the issue to the developer, awaiting response. I note that the app hasn’t been updated for some years though. Edit 13th August 2025: I got a response from the developer. It’s bad news for now but with a bit of hope for the future. Unfortunately, this version of BlogTouch has been officially deprecated and will no longer receive updates. Additionally, due to recent changes made by Blogger.com regarding user authentication and publishing methods, both the current and previous versions of the app are no longer functional. After 14 years of continuous development and support, it’s with regret that I announce the closure of the app. *** But the good news is that it will be possible for iOS 26 (next September or October) to create a new version of the app - so keep in touch. *** Alexandru Denk . ### 3/5 — Mostly works, idiosyncratic UI *2024-09-07, version 6.8.0* It’s ok for quick posts and drafts but the sometimes unintuitive UI and the limitations of iPad OS make writing longer posts a bit of a chore. Tiny font in the editor really doesn’t help and the Font and Font Size settings under Editor Defaults don’t actually do anything, same font and size regardless of what they’re set to. Can’t insert a link within the text you’ve already entered, it always puts it at the end. ### 1/5 — Photos break *2024-01-03, version 6.8.0* Photos will seem to work, but eventually fail will a 403 Forbidden error. Just search for “BlogTouch 403” to see posts about it at the Google forums. In a reply by the developer, he puts the blame on Google Drive, but there’s no alternative in the app for photo storage. So the app is a ticking time bomb. I now have to edit dozens of posts to reinsert the images. Don’t make the same mistake I did! ### 1/5 — Lost my photos!!!!! *2023-12-18, version 6.8.0* Has a bug that loses your photos because of a lazy hack that stores them in a temporary file, apparently. Google won’t fix, developer refuses to acknowledge or fix, and you are stuck. I painstakingly restored all of my photos that the app had lost, only to find them gone AGAIN after a couple of months. Totally devastating. PLEASE HELP!!!!! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Lifetime Purchase Not Honored — Loss of Trust *2026-02-07, version 7.0.6* I purchased lifetime access to BlogTouch Pro through the App Store. Now the app is asking me to pay again — even offering new “discounted” lifetime pricing — as if I never supported it before. Let me be clear: the price isn’t the issue. It’s how this was handled. There was no notice, no account migration, no restore option that works, and no support for people who already paid. That’s not how you treat loyal users. Even when a discounted price briefly appeared (screenshot attached), it disappeared after I contacted Apple support — and I still can’t access what I rightfully paid for. And even if I considered paying again, what’s to stop this from happening a second time? I’ve lost faith in this developer and the app. If you can’t restore my access, I want a refund — because I refuse to pay twice, and I can’t trust that you won’t revoke it again. This isn’t just about one customer — it’s about the principle of honoring lifetime access for those who already supported your work. ### 1/5 — Better Blogger Frontend *2026-02-07, version 7.0.6* BlogTouch is a stable, clean, reliable tool that I use to manage my blog. Regards. ### 1/5 — Usually Works — But Some Posts Refuse to Publish *2025-08-14, version 6.8.0* I’ve used this app for a long time, and most of the time it works well for posting directly to my Blogger site. However, I’ve run into a frustrating problem with certain posts that refuse to publish. For example, I recently tried to post a spiritual-themed entry. The publish process starts, but it always ends with an error message and the post never goes live. I’ve retried multiple times and even restarted the app — same result. Interestingly, if I log into Blogger from my laptop browser, the exact same post publishes instantly with no errors. This issue has been happening for quite a while, but I hadn’t been doing much blogging until recently. Now that I’m posting again, it’s clear the problem is still there. I’ve also noticed other recent reviews from users describing similar publishing issues, login problems, and concerns that the app hasn’t been updated in years — which may be part of the problem with newer iOS versions and Blogger updates. I paid for this app because it used to be the best and most convenient way to post on the go, so I truly hope it will be fixed. If it’s no longer supported, it would be good to let users know. I’m already running the latest version available in the App Store, so this isn’t a matter of needing to update. I can provide a screen recording and screenshots showing the exact error if needed. Right now I’m giving it 1 star because I can’t rely on it, but if this issue is fixed I would gladly change my rating to 5 stars. Access blocked: Authorization Error – Error 401: deleted_client *2025-08-21* I have been using BlogTouch for iOS for over a decade and recently encountered a serious issue when trying to log in with my Google account. The app shows the following error message during the authorization process: “Access blocked: Authorization Error – Error 401: deleted_client (The OAuth client was deleted).” From what I understand, this means that the OAuth client associated with BlogTouch has been deleted or is no longer valid. As a result, it is currently impossible to log in and use the app. Since BlogTouch has been an extremely valuable tool for managing my Blogger site, I kindly ask if you could look into this issue and update the app with a valid OAuth client so that users can continue using it.
