## What is Bloo?

Your dives, beautifully archived.

Bloo is a dive journal for divers who care about the memory as much as the log. Built offline-first so you can log a dive at the boat, on the plane, or on the drive home — then sync the moment you're back on Wi-Fi.

BUILT FOR THE POST-DIVE RITUAL
  • Log a dive in under 60 seconds: site, depth, time, conditions, rating.
  • Metric or imperial. Set it once, change it any time.
  • Attach photos from your camera roll as first-class memories, not afterthought attachments.
  • Search a catalogue of over 6,500 dive sites, or drop a pin on a new one.
  • Rename, merge, or remove any site you've added — including ones an import created for you.
  • Works fully offline. No spinner. No "try again later."
  • Track your certifications by agency and level, from Open Water to instructor.

BRING YOUR DIVE HISTORY WITH YOU
  • Import straight from your dive computer: Garmin Descent and Suunto Ocean (.fit).
  • Or from another app: Subsurface, Shearwater, Oceanic+, MacDive and anything else that exports UDDF — your dives, sites, buddies and gear.
  • Pick several files at once. Bloo skips the dives it already has, so nothing lands twice.
  • Check every dive site before anything saves — link it to a site you already have, rename it, or keep it separate.
  • Tap a .fit or .uddf file in Files, Mail or AirDrop to open it straight in Bloo.
  • Then bring each dive back to life: add photos, tag a location, and write down what you remember.

EVERY DIVE IS A STORY
  • Group dives into trips so every adventure lives as one memory.
  • Revisit any dive with the photos, notes, and conditions you captured that day.
  • See your depth, temperature and tank-pressure profile for computer-logged dives scrub through to relive any moment.
  • Lifetime stats: bottom time, depth records, countries dived, dives per year.

DIVE WITH FRIENDS
  • Add the buddies you dived with, and tag your instructor or divemaster.
  • Invite a buddy to connect. Once you both say yes, you see each other's dives.
  • Tag a buddy on a dive you did together and they can add it to their own logbook in a tap. One dive, logged together.
  • Keep any dive private with a single switch. Private dives never leave your logbook.
  • Buddy Wrapped: a beautiful, shareable recap of your history with each buddy. Free for everyone.
  • Call, message, or email a buddy in a tap.

SEE EVERYWHERE YOU'VE BEEN
  • An interactive world map pins every site you've dived. Zoom in on a region and replay the trip, or search the map to jump straight to a country or a named site.

BLOO PRO
The free tier is a full logbook — not a trial, not a teaser. Most divers will never need more. Bloo Pro unlocks:
  • 50 photos per dive (up from 6)
  • Videos on every dive (up to 5)
  • Year-by-year stats: compare any year, any depth

YOUR DATA IS YOURS
Bring it in and take it out, anytime — import or export your entire logbook as JSON or UDDF, the open dive-log format your past and future software will still read. Private-only media storage with signed-URL access.

Log your first dive tonight, or bring a lifetime of them with you. And this time, bring your dive buddies too. Your future self will thank you.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-06-02*

I’ve tried many different apps and been frustrated by all of them. This one is smooth, allows me to keep track of my important info for FREE and keeps everything organized. Finally. Also a neat map showing all the places I’ve dived in the world. Easy edit feature

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for the lovely review, Brooklybones! What you've described is exactly what I set out to build: a home for our dives that we can be proud of, and that is incredibly simple to keep up to date.

Hearing it's finally the one that clicked for you, after all the others, means a lot.

There's plenty more coming, too — the next update's a big one, with a proper rework of how you keep track of your dive buddies. I think you'll like it.

Hope you continue enjoying it — happy diving! 🤿

### 5/5 — Great dive log

*2026-04-28*

I’ve been searching for a quality dive log that doesn’t look and feel dated and this one does it! Looking forward to future updates.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for taking the time to review, JazzAnonymous, this genuinely made my day. “Doesn’t look and feel dated” is exactly what I was going for. There’s loads more coming including imperial units, local date/time formats, Apple sign-in, better dive site search, UDDF uploads and dive computer integrations. Keep diving and let me know if anything’s missing!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.11.0 — 2026-08-26

Staying signed in, better

The big one this version is under the hood: Bloo now manages your sign-in itself, so a flaky connection or an expired token can't log you out or leave the app hanging on launch. If you've ever opened Bloo on a boat with one bar of signal and stared at a spinner, this is for you.

Also new:

- Importing from a dive computer now fills in average depth when the file only has the profile, and dives from one trip are offered as a trip in one tap.
- When a buddy tags you on a dive, the dive says so, and you can see who logged it.
- A smoother first-launch animation and a fix for a freeze when opening several sheets in a row.

### 1.10.1 — 2026-08-17

Fixes a rare freeze that could occur after saving a dive.

### 1.10.0 — 2026-08-15

IMPORT FROM MACDIVE
- Bloo now reads MacDive exports directly: dives, sites, buddies and gear. And the import review got smarter: same-name sites are labelled with their region and country so you can tell your Coral Gardens from the other four, and a quick primer shows you the ropes on repeat imports.

MERGE DUPLICATE DIVE SITES
- Ended up with two pins for the same reef? Open the site, tap "…", and merge one into the other - every dive moves with it, nothing gets lost. You can also merge into a site from the shared catalogue, which is usually exactly where that imported duplicate belongs.

TANK PRESSURE ON THE DIVE PROFILE
- Computer-logged dives with pressure data now show your tank trace alongside depth and temperature. Scrub through and watch the dive unfold.

ALSO IN THIS UPDATE
- A new + button on the logbook: log a dive or start an import from one place.
- The site picker shows which sites are yours to edit and which belong to the shared catalogue.
- Smoother recovery when a sync hiccups - most stuck items now fix themselves.

### 1.9.0 — 2026-08-11

Import your dive computer

- Bloo now reads your dives straight off your computer. Garmin Descent and
Suunto Ocean (.fit), Shearwater, Subsurface and Oceanic+ (.uddf) — pick
several files at once and Bloo works out which dives it already has, so
nothing lands twice.

- Before anything is saved, you get a review screen: every dive site in the
file, one row per place, with the option to link it to a site you already
have, rename it, or keep it separate. And you can open a dive file directly
from Files, Mail or AirDrop and send it to Bloo.

Your dive sites, yours to fix

- A new My Dive Sites screen in your profile lists every site you've created,
so you can rename or delete them. Anything an import creates on your behalf
is yours to correct.

- Finding a site got easier too — search the map to jump to a country or a
named site, and see nearby sites as pins while you place a new one. The
catalogue has grown to over 6,500 sites, with a big pass to fix ones that
were duplicated or in the wrong place.

Times that make sense

- Dives now remember the timezone they happened in, so a dive logged at 9am in
Egypt still reads 9am when you're home.

Steadier offline

- Photos come back in your logbook when you're offline, dives you log without
signal save reliably, and anything waiting to sync retries on its own.
Plus a pile of smaller fixes to numbers, invites and buddy saving.

### 1.8.0 — 2026-07-15

Dive together, log together

- Connect with your buddies: Send an invite link or code; once you both say yes, you see each other's dives. Just the divers you choose.
- Tag a dive: Did a dive together? Tag your buddy and they can add it to their own logbook in a tap.
- Logged together: Shared dives show up as linked cards in both logbooks, so the story matches on both sides.
- Private dives: Flip one switch and a dive stays yours alone. Private dives never leave your logbook.
- Notifications: A new inbox (and push) so invites, requests and tags never get lost.
- Buddy Wrapped, now free: The shareable recap of you and a buddy is open to everyone.
- Plus faster photo loading and a stack of behind-the-scenes improvements.

Connections are always mutual, with report and block built in.
