### 2/5 — Doesn’t Align with Book

*2026-07-22*

Having read through the book, you would think this app directly aligns with the content in the text however, this isn’t true. There are many foods that are identified as beneficial, neutral, or to be avoided in the book but they are not accurately listed in the app and are miscategorized. This inaccuracy also makes recipes difficult because you know have to do extra due diligence to ensure you’re not using ingredients that you should otherwise avoid if you are trying to follow this to a T. Appears to be just as helpful as a couple of the free app options.

### 3/5 — Lucky I can use this app…

*2025-05-16*

I was definitely charged $9 even though it says $3.99 so be aware. I don’t have the energy to complain or get it refunded. The app seems helpful, I plan to try it out and see if it makes any difference. I have noticed certain things mess with my stomach and I never knew why and now I can see I need to stay away from those things for good.

**Developer response:** Our Blood Type Diet app has always been and continues to be a one-time charge of $3.99 USD. The purchase of our app is done through the Apple App Store and if you were charged something different, Apple can help at reportaproblem.apple.com. Any questions, please reach out to us at: appsupport@dadamo.com. We will be happy to help.

### 3/5 — Not accurate and confusing

*2024-09-05, version 2.6.8*

Giving it 3 stars because it’s not accurate. For example for type A blood type somewhere it says avoid the caffeine and then somewhere else It allows drinking coffee!
Or for example, in some list, it says vinegar is allowed and in another list it says vinegar is not allowed!! I wouldn’t trust this list food
Do your research before you follow this diet

### 2/5 — No family sharing

*2023-09-15*

Family sharing doesn’t work even though they state up to 6 family members allowed. No response from developer or Apple when submitting issue so they also don’t stand behind their statement that they want to work with users on resolving issues - i.e. no customer support.

**Developer response:** Apple’s Family Sharing is governed by Apple and not a function of our Blood Type Diet app. We do apologize for any inconvenience.

### 3/5 — Not the revised Updated version

*2023-06-14, version 2.6.7*

I have the revised updated book version Dec 2026/Sept 2020. But the app has not been updated to reflect that.

I’ve had this app for about 10 years. It’s a great App but I think the new science should reflect that.

### 3/5 — Missing information

*2023-05-30*

It’s missing the KEY symbols that you’ll find in the book on the 1st or 2nd page of each blood type. For example I’m type O and my KEY symbol information is on page 93 above the meats and poultry. I feel that the KEY is important to have on there so people know & remember what helps them the most and what can hurt them the most. Also there are foods that shouldn’t be eaten together because they interfere with each other or can cause problems when eaten together, that’s information people should know and start learning. I’m a bit suspicious of this app though for it’s only has a very specific company for supplements. Where is CEOrganix? They are specifically for blood type too like hmmm….

### 2/5 — Shoulda got the book

*2022-06-10*

To pay for an app with this poor of navigation is atrocious.

I am going to go back to get the book (which is only $5 more) and hopefully has more elaborate information and a navigation that makes sense.

I regret getting this app as it is extremely high level, offers poor navigation, and doesn’t share too much more than anything i could have googled otherwise.

### 2/5 — Not showing food lists

*2022-06-03, version 2.6.7*

As in the title, NOT allowing me to navigate to different types of food.

### 4/5 — Development suggestions

*2022-05-06*

The common family food lists should indicate what is neutral for both ir all types and not just the beneficial. Since each type can look up their respective full lists it makes no sense to show what one type can have or not have when in the “common view” lists.

Another suggestion would be to be able to enter what foods you did consume akin to the my fitness pal app so you can get a feel for how true you are to the diet. This would be outstanding and worth a monthly subscrption fee!

### 2/5 — Inconsistent information

*2022-05-02, version 2.6.7*

I just bought this app, but the information for Blood Type O doesn’t match the book.

### 4/5 — Make it possible to gift (buy) the app for others

*2022-04-26, version 2.6.7*

I own this app but see no option to gift buy it for others. Pls remedy this merchandising blindspot. Thanks!

### 3/5 — Easy to use but inaccurate

*2022-02-22, version 2.6.7*

I want to like this app but I don’t think the info is correct. It’s not aligning with the book. Pinto beans are neutral one day (and in the book) but now they are on the avoid list? It is very easy to use.

### 4/5 — Differs from your book

*2022-02-05*

I like the app, as everything is in one place, but reading your book, I see deference. For example, in book you say that type A should avoid tomato as extremely poisonous, but in this app tomato is Neutral.
Which is more correct?

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Privacy invader

*2024-11-08, version 2.6.8*

The diet – awesome.
The app – not so good.
Check under your privacy reports on your Apple device and you will find that this app is contacting Google servers.
Google is the most meta data Hungary company on the planet and so it seems that they may be passing your meta data on to Google.
As someone who is concerned with my privacy, I find this unacceptable.
I’ll go back to using the book.

### 1/5 — Fee over charges my account

*2023-10-25, version 2.6.7*

Now where does this all say there is a fee and now my account is over drawn and wasn’t expecting this at all!!!

### 1/5 — No Scientific Support

*2022-10-01, version 2.6.7*

I was led to believe there was some credibility behind the claims made in this app. In short, there is no empirical data suggesting the information in this app is true. While some of the suggestions to eat cleaner foods, the notion this has anything to do with your blood type is pure hype.

### 1/5 — Not enough Foods

*2022-02-08, version 2.6.7*

So many popular foods are left out. So much confusing information

So many foods I don’t tolerate yet says they are beneficial

Too many unknown foods

### 1/5 — Update: EPIC FAILURE

*2022-01-20, version 2.6.6*

Since the update, the app no longer works.

### 1/5 — Love App But latest version NOT working AT all

*2022-01-17, version 2.6.6*

Please fix the latest version of this app. I’ve had it for years. Love it… but the latest version won’t work AT all. I’m sure it will be a simple fix for app designer once they are alerted to this. App completely frozen and can’t choose blood type. No button on latest app active. Please fix immediately thank you

### 1/5 — Recipes say ok for my blood type but contain AVOID foods

*2021-12-20, version 2.6.5*

For example, “turkey cacciatore #2 with mushrooms” says it only uses B-type friendly ingredients, but it has tomato. Tomatoes are quite toxic to me as a b-type. Even a little tomato is not ok. I can tolerate that the app is a little quirky about recipes, but I cannot tolerate that it lies. Apparently, the cooks in the kitchen for this app, also think “it’s just in my head.” Jerks.

### 1/5 — Fix it!

*2021-01-05, version 2.6.5*

This app used to be good and now the interface is horrible especially when trying to use the recipes.

Please fix it.

Thank you

### 1/5 — Poorly developed app

*2020-05-20, version 2.6.5*

Difficult to use for searching recipes & not accurate for blood types. Such as recipes show up with beef on Blood type A. Difficult to see foods list; poor color choice makes if difficult to read and unable to make font larger. Does not work for multiple blood type recipes or food choices.

### 1/5 — Confusing

*2020-04-10, version 2.6.3*

It’s a bit confusing since my book says yes me and my husband can have honey and then the app says no. Also it does not send to email or prints. They need to fix this.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — LIFE CHANGING!

*2025-06-24*

This app has helped me and my clients so much. As we laughed and cried together after finding out the foods that our bodies love and dislike. But some may have been a part of childhood favs. Please get this app and for 1 week try meals completely green for you.

### 5/5 — Info at your fingertips

*2025-02-16*

Ok so some of the in-app links don’t work and need to be updated.

Nonetheless, the convenience of being able to search and summarize any and all food types per blood type is amazing. It puts it all at your fingertips.

My partner and I are so excited about the results of this diet.

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing. Please reach out to us for any issues, questions or bad links: appsupport@dadamo.com

### 5/5 — Can Oat Milk Be Added?

*2025-01-04, version 2.6.9.4*

Can we please get oat milk added to the beverages list?

### 5/5 — Love this App. 2024

*2024-09-17, version 2.6.8*

All the other reviews are so old. Shame more people don’t write reviews. Great companion when shopping. Mainly all whole foods. Not packaged stuff.

### 5/5 — Can compare food lists for multiple people

*2024-06-08*

This is exactly what I needed. Firstly I wanted the official food list without having purchased the book yet. I also wanted to be able to compare my list to my daughters so that I could shop and meal plan more easily. I can even compare 3 types for when I’m cooking for my mom too which would basically be impossible without this app. Beware of food lists from other places, originally I was going off a list that had a lot of conflicting information.

### 5/5 — Need more improvement

*2024-04-06*

if I select blood type and body organ

Example: lungs, heart or liver it should suggest food

Add more food lists and do some corrections some food suggestions list is wrong according to your book and insta posts

**Developer response:** Our app matches Dr. Peter D’Adamo’s current food categorizations found on his web site at dadamo.com. Currently there are no food corrections pending. Thank you for your suggestions.

### 5/5 — Life changer indeed.

*2023-09-22*

I had this app and many of the books for years but recently I encourages 2 persons to buy this app and a few of the books based on their blood type and their health has improved greatly. Thank you for maintaining this app in the AppStore.

### 5/5 — Thank you

*2023-08-11*

This app helps me shop for food that will give me energy instead of take it away since I am more sensitive because of my age and secretor type (nonsecretor) plus find recipes that make me feel good 👍🏼 . The only thing is that I always have
To go to the App Store to open it, the last few days since it doesn’t show up on my page! Weird. Wish you could fix that!

### 5/5 — Lark

*2022-07-21*

Use this app frequently, especially when shopping. Would be terrific to have it for the Apple Watch, wouldn’t have to lug my phone around!

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2022-04-28, version 2.6.7*

I’ve recently been diagnosed with RA which is autoimmune and since eating strictly based off this app I’ve seen a huge improvement in my joint pain and inflammation. Praise God!
