## What is Bloom?

Snap a photo. Get words. Meet them again right before you forget.
Bloom Vocab Coach joins those two halves into one vocabulary app.

1. Your own photos become your word list

Take a photo or pick one from your gallery, and AI finds the objects in it, then pins the word and its meaning right where each object sits.
Your desk, today's lunch, a sign you walked past. Your vocabulary comes out of your own day, not a list someone else wrote.
If a pin lands in the wrong place, drag it. Pull out objects, colors, actions, or fine details, at basic, intermediate, or advanced difficulty.

2. The photo becomes the cue that brings the word back

A plain list of words all looks alike, which is why they blur together. A word on a photo is stored with the scene, the color, and the position, so you get one more thread to pull: "the word on the lower left of that photo."
The quizzes use that same connection: name the word at a highlighted spot, or name a sticker cut out from the object. You are not just pairing spelling with meaning, you are tying the word to what the thing looked like.

3. The AI memory coach works out when to ask you again

Words you have memorized fade with time. Meet one again just before it slips away, and it stays far longer.
Bloom Vocab Coach uses spaced repetition (SRS) to set a separate next review date for every word, staying ahead of the forgetting curve.

- Words you fumbled come back sooner
- How long you took to answer counts, separating "barely got it" from "knew it instantly"

Premium adds FSRS scheduling with AI-tuned parameters, built around what you actually got right and wrong. The AI coach report diagnoses your retention rate, the words you keep forgetting, and what is off in your schedule, then proposes a new plan you can apply with one tap.
When reviews pile up, a reminder keeps your streak from quietly ending.

### 2.3.1 — 2026-09-19

• Built for iPad: on a wide screen the home screen shows your word list and the word you tapped side by side. Reviews put the question and the answers next to each other with the answers in two columns, and a photo's result screen shows the photo and its words at the same time. [Learning status] opens out into two columns, and long lists and text stop at a comfortable reading width instead of stretching edge to edge.
• [View AI word details] now works right where you tap it: the deep dive is created on the spot — no extra screen, no second tap. Not on Premium? It takes you straight to the subscription page.
• Word packs: fixed cases where you watched the whole ad and the pack still didn't open.
• New word packs now open in season, and the "new" mark is shown only to people who haven't seen them yet.
• The first-run walkthrough explains the forgetting curve using what you just went through, and shows your own schedule after that.
• When a newer version is out, the app tells you inside the app.
• Fixes: in [Mistakes], when only one word was left, a swipe up or down ended the session; sign-in, subscription and locked screens are centered on wide screens; buttons no longer hide behind the system bar.
• On iPhone the app now stays in portrait — landscape layouts are used on iPad-sized screens.

• Home is your word list: the words you've collected are right on the home screen as cards. Switch between all, learning and [Learned], filter by where a word came from (photo, picture card, word pack, scene), or search. Create new words with the + button.
• Daily AI report: the day after you review, a report is made for you and its suggestions go straight into your review schedule. Not happy with a change? Tap [Undo]. Your stats, reports and the next 7 days of reviews now live together in [Learning status]. (Premium)
• [Flashcards]: flip through the words you've missed most lately, 20 at a time. Words from a photo point to their spot in that photo.
• Word details for everyone: tap any word to see its meaning, an example and your next review. The AI deep dive (origins and nuance) is Premium, and it now explains the exact meaning you learned.
• Word packs: one [Open with an ad] and the pack is yours. Premium opens packs with no ads.
• Finish today's reviews and [Mistakes] appears in the same spot.
• The tutorial now explains the forgetting curve, plus fixes to notifications and wording across languages.

• Word packs: fill your vocabulary even when there's nothing to photograph. Themed sets — 100 core verbs, 100 adjectives, 100 words for work and school — split into [Picture cards] and text-only [Word packs]. Words you already have are left out.
• Open with credits: collect them with [Watch an ad for credits], or get them monthly with Premium.
• Mistakes: the words you got wrong stay with you for the rest of the day. Look them over, or [Flip through as flashcards].
• Spread out a backlog: missed a few days? [Rebuild the schedule] works out how much you still remember and spreads the pile over several days. Your progress stays exactly as it is. (Premium)
