The ability to take actionable steps towards the recovery process before the surgery even happened was invaluable— in the weeks leading up to the surgery, I was anxious because I knew there wasn’t much I could do besides wait. Preconditioning with Bloom43 helped me feel like I was getting a jump on the recovery and allowed me to have agency in setting myself up for the best possible outcome. I used the app both before and after the surgery, and particularly enjoyed the checklists of symptoms, self-care actions, wound care, etc.. because there was so much to keep track of with post-op meds, drains, and the like.
