### 3/5 — Schedules aren’t working as expected

*2026-07-25, version 5.07*

I have schedules setup to block from 06:00 to 18:00 and then from 23:00 until 05:00. So should be able to look at my apps in the period 18:00 to 23:00 without having to go get the card. This isn’t currently working.

### 4/5 — Love it but needs remove friend feature

*2026-07-13, version 5.07*

Yeah love this app but I need to remove a friend because pain yeah please add that feature

### 2/5 — Good solution, buggy execution

*2026-06-28, version 5.07*

The app blocker search functionality constantly crashes. It takes 5 minutes to add 10 app to the blocked approved list. Constantly crashing then restarting the app and navigating to same spot

### 3/5 — The scheduled time feature stops working randomly

*2026-06-27, version 5.07*

I think this my main problem with the app. Other than that it’s great.

### 4/5 — Sometimes in the morning it doesn’t work

*2026-06-27, version 5.07*

It is a great app. It forces me to put down my phone and work but in the mornings is when I struggle with my phone the most and so does the app. If I schedule beforehand to block my phone in the morning I would wake up to all my apps even tho the app itself says they’re blocked.

### 4/5 — Schedules have a mind of their own

*2026-06-26, version 5.07*

To elaborate on the title. The schedules feel like they’re just for show. Several times I’ve been locked out of apps when I shouldn’t have been. Other times I’m locked out of the wrong mode. Once I was even locked out of an app that was on zero of my block out modes. I have deleted this app several times and ultimately end up going back only bc it’s the only way I can decrease screen time. I wish they’d work out the bugs. Also!! make it so I don’t have to go through the stupid unskippable set up dramatization of how much the app will help me every time I need to delete and redownload bc of bugs, especially since I have to log in first. Like you already know I have an account. Leave me alone

Update!! Request for the developers: can there be a 30 second warning notification before your break is about to end. Let me know I need to wrap it up before the blackout happens

### 3/5 — Good app, one knit pick

*2026-06-26, version 5.07*

I feel like the app should allow cross device access, like one device is in focus mode, and the other device can be in focus mode as well, without the need for an nfc. The manual blocking on the ipad does not have the same physical boundary to unblock, and serves more as an act of discipline. If this change was possible, please make it an option. Thank you for your product.

### 2/5 — Too many bugs

*2026-06-21, version 5.07*

The app is definitely useful but for the amount I have paid for the card, bugs such as

1. Scheduling not working as expected. (Apps getting blocked at random times, or not getting blocked at all)
2. App showing focus mode is on, but no apps are being blocked.
3. Apps not getting unlocked even though schedule is showing it’s free time.

Make it impossible to use this app predictably and makes it a frustrating experience.

### 4/5 — Definitely has helped

*2026-06-20, version 5.07*

I had let myself get into a night time scrolling loop and setting Bloom has definitely helped. It does sometimes get the time wrong though eg. set from 11pm- 6.30am but still barring me from using at 6.55. It’s holding on to a previous schedule and can’t for the life of me work out how to fix it so I’m obliged to use my card to break into my own phone

### 4/5 — Schedules have a mind of their own

### 2/5 — Website blocking doesnt work

*2026-05-27, version 5.07*

Website blocking only works through safari, no ability to add specific URL for blocking. This really is a fatal flaw. Hopefully resolved soon as otherwise app is great

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2026-05-23, version 5.07*

I’m a nursing mom and sometimes when I would nurse my baby to sleep I would get caught doom scrolling and the next thing I knew it had been a couple hours. Well not anymore I have so much more free time by just not being on my phone. I’m so much more present too

### 3/5 — Good app, blocking process needs improvement

*2026-05-19, version 5.07*

The concept, look, feel and portability of the item are excellent. It is relatively cheap being a metal card with an NFC tag. Given the customisable settings are preset prior to blocking, the tapping of the card should itself begin the block. The current system requires the user to select block, input the number of breaks allowed, confirm the block and tap with the physical card. This results in an experience similar to a a blocking app but with extra steps to begin blocking and start focussing.
It makes sense to require the user to enter into the app to end the block as a disincentive, but not the other way around. If Bloom implemented this as an option in the settings I would rate it 5 stars. It is a superior product in every other regard. If this is in error and/or the feature is implemented, I will amend the review.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-05-18, version 5.07*

Having a feature to where we can block for specific amount of time would be great! Other than that this app is phenomenal. Only thing that keeps me off my phone. Dopamine addiction is crazy.

### 5/5 — Great!

*2026-05-15, version 5.07*

Good app and has genuinely helped me cut down on social media / phone use and focus on more important things! The physical card also helps you just get up and move to go and get the card to unlock helps you contemplate if you want to unlock but also gets you moving depending on where you leave the card! I also admire that this app is a one time purchase that comes with the card. Too many companies nowadays gouge their customers with subscriptions and I really respect that this one doesn’t!

I do wish though that there were more possible modes and a kind of block timer where you can select an amount of time to block apps for instead of having to use a schedule.

### 5/5 — Life Changing!

*2026-05-15, version 5.07*

Life. Changing. I lost my bloom card for a bit and truly felt like i relapsed. This resets your relationship with screen time and still allows you to engage when needed. And its a one time purchase which is way superior to a monthly subscription. Do it!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-07-30, version 5.07*

I do not have instagram selected as an approved app, but it’s not blocked. I also do not like how I have to tap the bloom to lock the phone. Makes sense to unlock but not to lock

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-06-15, version 5.07*

I do not have instagram selected as an approved app, but it’s not blocked

### 1/5 — Actual botted reviews cuz

*2026-05-28, version 5.07*

The setup time annoying and i have to tap like 3 different options on the corner of my screen by the home button just to start to use use the card, not doin that every time ffs, just get brick unless they update and change this. Should be a seemless physical tap like the brick app has. Like copy seemless brick app n ur better cuz u have a card tf? Qol matters like a key to lock my phone shouldnt piss me off like some an ad with a fake x button.

### 1/5 — Screentime permissions

*2026-05-21, version 5.07*

The idea behind this is brilliant but the fact that a simple toggle in the screentime permissions breaks the entire blocking doesn’t make sense at all. Unless that is fixed this is just a waste of money

### 1/5 — My Nickname is a lie

*2026-05-08, version 5.07*

This app sucks, I tried deleting it and now it’s asking for my screen time passcode. Everytime I put it in it doesn’t work. This app also sucks because I pay to get a card just to turn off a focus. I’m not paying $20.00 just to end a focus.

### 1/5 — Denied refund; Broken app

*2026-03-26, version 5.01*

I ordered a card on accident and was denied a refund. This app is the most nonsensical bull app I’ve used. Extremely poorly designed. Lacks many basic features.

### 1/5 — Right idea, but not working as expected

*2026-03-11, version 4.15*

I want this card/app so specific apps on my kids phone are automatically locked and the card is used to unlock. The automatic blocking does not work at all. If this is not updated I’ll return my cards.

### 1/5 — Doesnt work on android

*2026-03-04, version 4.14*

It claims to work on android but this is not correct. It doesnt stop a flip phone front screen working.

### 1/5 — Not able to block websites

*2026-03-03, version 4.13*

Not able to block websites

### 1/5 — Decent card awful app

*2026-02-27, version 4.13*

I bought this card because it was promising all the same benefits as brick but like half the price. You get what you pay for. The card has to be at a certain angle for it to even scan and the app is the worst. The schedules changes randomly and the apps that get blocked or allowed just change no matter what. It’s been 14 days and nothing improved no matter how many times i tried talking to support for help

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2026-07-17, version 5.07*

It’s the best!

### 5/5 — Perfect for an adhd brain

*2026-07-09, version 5.07*

I was so sick of knowing I had an addiction to my phone and the internet, I could hear my inner voice yelling to stop as I was sucked into scrolling or picking up my phone first thing in the morning. I’d wish that my phone could just text/make calls, play music/books, take photos and hive directions but without the access to anything else. No scrolling, no constant news cycle, no dopamining in the worst way. I would loose hours and hours to it . I now have my phone set up to only allow the things I actually want access to and I can feel my brain coming back into its creative power. This is such a helpful tool, it is pricey but I choose to think of it as a one time purchase medicine to help my brain.

### 5/5 — Does exactly what I was wanting

*2026-06-23, version 5.07*

The schedule feature in the app does exactly what I wanted - I can block apps for set times during the day and can only unblock by tapping the card which I keep away from me in my car. But the apps are automatically released for set times as per the schedule I’ve set up. Great!

### 5/5 — Helped reduced tech addiction

*2026-06-16, version 5.07*

Before getting the bloom app, I was mindlessly opening apps and procrastinating the day away. The best part of the bloom app is the scheduled block out periods. A feature I didn’t see with the competition. I have significant reduced my screen time and tech addiction.

### 5/5 — Jeremy

*2026-06-09, version 5.07*

Game-changer

### 5/5 — ADHD?

*2026-06-07, version 5.07*

It’s only day 4 for me so I am new to this. But last night I had the longest sleep that I have had in about 3 years. I think my doom scrolling was really heightening my adhd. I’m spending more time exercising and more time connecting! Very happy so far!

### 5/5 — buggy :(

*2026-06-03, version 5.07*

love it when it works but it keeps kicking me out of my schedules immediately after they begin. i get a notification “your scheduled focused session has started” and then immediately after “your scheduled focused session has ended”. then all my apps are available to use and my app says i am in focus mode…relaunching doesn’t work and then i have to go get my card to restart. this happens every time. anyone know how to fix???

### 5/5 — Good

*2026-06-03, version 5.07*

Keeps my addictions in check

### 5/5 — Broke the muscle memory of app tapping

*2026-05-29, version 5.07*

Bloom helped break the mindless habit of opening Instagram or TikTok every time I got in bed, parked my car, or had a break. Made my screen time intentional and genuinely improved my life within days.

### 5/5 — Life Changing

*2026-05-28, version 5.07*

Has saved me hundreds of hours in the last year, and inevitably so much of who I am today. - priceless
