## What is Bloom Focus Timer?

A focus timer should be simple. Bloom is a timer for work and study, and not much else.

Pick a tree, choose how long you want to focus, and start. The tree grows while you work, and joins your forest when the session ends. Longer sessions grow bigger trees. New species unlock as your hours add up. Give up early and your tree dies.

Over time you end up with a forest you built yourself as a quiet record of the work you've done.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.0 — 2026-10-06

Data transition: add focus time from apps you used before Bloom. It counts in your statistics, though it doesn't grow trees.

Buy me a coffee. If Bloom helps you focus, you can now support it from the menu. As a thank-you, the coffee tree is yours to plant, hand-drawn like the others.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-09-30

New artwork throughout. Oak, cherry, pine and maple each have their own shape at every stage, and the ground they stand on is drawn too.

Fixed a bug where your chosen apps were not blocked if you started a session shortly after opening Bloom.

The lock screen card now clears when the session ends, and starting another session replaces it.

Your forest is included in iPhone backups. Restore a device or move to a new phone and it comes with you.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-29

once, against what actually shipped, rather than retyped in the console.

## 1.2.0

Every tree is redrawn. Oak, cherry, pine and maple each have their own shape at every stage, and they stand on drawn ground rather than a flat tile.

Blocking is reliable again. Starting a session soon after opening Bloom could leave your chosen apps unblocked; it no longer does.

The lock screen card ends when your session does, instead of sitting at 0:00, and starting a second session no longer leaves two cards side by side.

Your forest now travels in an iPhone backup, so restoring a device or moving to a new phone keeps it.

## 1.1.0

Block apps while a session runs. Choose them once in Settings; while your tree grows, they stay shut, and the blocking screen shows when the session ends.

Leaving Bloom no longer kills your tree. Lock your phone, take a call, switch away — the session keeps counting. Only giving up ends it, and that takes a deliberate hold.
