Like right now, nothing loads, not even the message threads and I was expecting a message from the teacher, but now I can’t even get the message, also don’t like that we can’t communicate with other parents. For the past days, my and my wife’s Bloomz app has stopped working, even after updating. It basically kicked us out of login and doesn’t allow to get back. It’s really the worst app ever. Would give it zero stars if I could. Terrible app. It is always looking as if there is 1 unread notification (number 1 on top of the app icon) but when you get in the app there’s no way to tell where the notification is, I’ve looked everywhere and found nothing, so it’s always difficult to tell if you need to open and read it or not, I’ve missed notifications from the teacher due to that. It’s been like that for a while now even after updating to the last version. ### 1/5 — Bloomz App *2026-03-04, version 6.1.7* Almost every time I use this app it is slow to log in or load updates. I keep getting error messages when trying to look at an update or photo. I have tried everything to make the app work correctly but it makes it worst. I will have full signal/connection and it still loads like it is dial up internet. My frustration grows every day! ### 1/5 — Won’t let me log in *2026-02-26, version 6.1.6* The app auto logged me out. When I tried to log in it said my username or password were in correct. I used forgot password and it told me the email address I used to create the account, and verified, was an invalid email address. Now it’s stuck in the create a new password page. When I enter the new password it keeps telling me that the password is incorrect and to enter the correct password. The app has been glitchy since I started using it, and if it wasn’t what my child’s teacher decided to use I would never use this app. There are many other apps that are far better and don’t have these issues. ### 1/5 — Not as good as before *2026-02-17, version 6.1.6* Not sure what happened but after they upgraded the app the quality of photos and videos are no longer the same when uploaded. What the heck was in that update!? Fix it!!! ### 3/5 — Notifications broken *2026-01-06, version 9.1.0* Phantom notifications on Bloomz icon that appear for seemingly no reason. When messages do come in, actual notifications don’t appear on screen. Makes them easy to miss. ### 1/5 — App does not open *2026-01-05, version 9.1.0* This app which used to be fully functional does not open on my iPhone. (For the last month) I can access through a computer, but this is beyond frustrating. ### 3/5 — With every update… it gets worse *2026-01-05, version 9.1.0* Seriously disappointed in this company and app. As they have raised subscription rates, this app that I’ve used for many years for my eldest is becoming so dysfunctional and cumbersome. Attempting to leave a comment on a teachers post means that you can only see the text box and can’t see any other sentences/it doesn’t scroll with you as you type. The pictures and posts are so low quality even when we know teacher is posting pics from a newer iPhone. Also. It doesn’t send us notifications consistently when the teacher posts or sends a message. Which is dangerous when a teacher is messaging us because our kid is sick. Even on wifi we can’t view the videos or pictures. Very annoying. Why do I still get text instead of notifications on the app? Why is it that I must go to the School website to figure out dates for events/ early outs/ open houses. I really think it has to do with the operators. It hasn’t worked well since. I’ve completed all the troubleshooting recommended over several months and I’m just done trying. Images are blurry. Videos load incredibly slow. None of this was an issue before the app updated to its newest features. You have to exit clear out the app and go back into it for it to load. Notifications suck. You get a notification but doesn’t tell you what for so you have to sit and go through everything just to make it go away and usually it pretty much nothing. At most it’s because you have to click on to see who it was sent to which is dumb. Please fix these issues and make it more user friendly. I wish the school didn’t have to have a contact with this app for the next few years so that they could just ditch it and use something better. ### 1/5 — Terrible School App *2026-03-23, version 6.1.8* This is by far the worst app that I am forced to use with my kid’s class. Why are they incapable of just putting the content of the message into the push notification? I get push notifications and emails telling me I need to log into the app each time to view the messages. I emailed support with the feature request and they said they won’t do it due to “privacy”. BS. Please remove the buggy AI feature to return to normal use of the app, I’m close to begging my entire school to switch to something more user friendly. The UI went to **** when AI was added. It is difficult to comment/send messages, the photos take forever to upload, and I personally can’t see/adjust my own profile picture ir see others’. Read someone say they rated 5 stars so the review could be seen faster. I use this app everyday and it sucks to experience these glitches. Please fix it. Will be changing my rating accordingly. I am able to share photos and videos with everyone and use the portfolio piece for keeping student work for everyone to see. I love how Bloomz has a sign up section for volunteers, materials, and also an easy way to schedule conferences. It makes everything easy for parents and teachers. I can message a parent with a question or statement on my phone or computer. I can also schedule posts to be made for certain times or days. Bloomz has made communicating with my class parents 100 times easier. It is streamlined and easy to use! ### 5/5 — Awesome app & Lifesaver during distance learning *2020-07-20* I’ve been using Bloomz for the past 3 years and love how easy it is for teachers to post messages, videos, pictures, ask for donations, and set up parent conferences. It does a lot more but these were my most used features. It was not until distance learning that I realized how important having this type of communication with your parents actually is. Bloomz was a lifesaver for me when many of my colleagues were running around trying to figure out how to communicate with their parents easily and efficiently during a pandemic. Most of my parents use Bloomz on their phones and get immediate notifications when I post. This made it super easy for them to access my lesson plans, links, PDF homework packets, and videos I would post. I’m not looking forward to distance learning again but find comfort knowing that I can communicate with my parents via this awesome app. Thanks Bloomz! ### 5/5 — Amazing, especially now *2020-04-29, version 3.29* This app was great when school first started. Our teacher posted pictures of our little ones on their first day, pictures of arts and crafts, pictures of parties, and special events. They posted tips on how to help our kiddos learn and study the lessons they were working on in class. We even used it to invite classmates to parties on weekends. Now that school is closed due to Covid 19, we’re using it to keep in touch with teachers so they can send resources for our kids to learn while they’re home. We’re sending pictures of our kids swimming, doing arts and crafts at home and studying.
