## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.8 — 2026-08-30

INVITATIONS
• Accepting an invitation accepts it. Tapping "Accept" on an event or trip invitation was running the Decline button next to it, so the invitation was turned down and then showed as Declined.

POSTING
• Adding a video works properly again. If the preview thumbnail couldn't be generated, the whole media slot used to disappear — the clip was still attached and would have posted fine, but nothing on screen said so. You now always see that something is attached, along with a way to remove it.
• Picking the same clip a second time works. It used to do nothing at all, which was the obvious thing to try when the preview vanished.
• Tagging people works after you've attached a photo, not just before it.
• A photo that can't be read, or is too large to use, now says so by name instead of quietly failing to appear.
• If a post's media goes missing before you press Post, you're told — instead of the post publishing without it and reporting success.

NOTIFICATIONS
• Tapping a mention in a comment opens the post it's in. It used to mark itself read and go nowhere.

ELSEWHERE
• The first tab is called Home.
• Choosing your birth year is a quick scroll instead of a month-by-month crawl through a calendar.
• Event categories stay on one line instead of overlapping the row below.

### 1.7 — 2026-08-20

FIND PEOPLE ACTUALLY HAS PEOPLE IN IT NOW
If the deck kept telling you there was nobody around, that wasn't your filters. You needed a photo to be discoverable at all, which quietly hid most of the community from everyone else. Not any more — everyone shows up, and profiles with photos still lead the deck.

MESSAGING
• Sending a message no longer says "not delivered" when it wasn't a delivery problem. If a message can't go through — usually because you're waiting on someone to accept your first one — you'll see the actual reason instead of a retry button that could never work.
• Getting out of a chat works from everywhere now, including the one you open from a friend's profile.

POSTING
• Big videos upload properly. Anything under 50MB now has the time it needs instead of quietly failing partway through, and uploads use far less memory.
• Tagging people works after you've added a video — the suggestions no longer end up hidden behind the keyboard.

ALSO
• You can add your birthday during setup. It's optional, and it's only used to keep age groups apart in Find People — but without one you can't be matched, so we now say so instead of leaving you guessing.
• Find People tells you the truth when it's empty. "Nobody here yet" and "you've seen everyone" are different things, and it no longer claims the second when it means the first.
• If you can't be matched yet, you'll see why, and a way to fix it — including a heads-up that others can't find you either.

### 1.5 — 2026-08-18

This one is all about fixing the things you told us were broken.

FIXES
• You can always get back out of a message thread now. Opening a chat from someone's profile no longer leaves you stuck with no way back to the rest of the app.
• Add a caption and pick an activity after adding your photo or video — either order works now.
• Vibe checks work from a person's profile. If one can't go through, you'll see why instead of a blank error.
• Someone's posts now show up on their profile. If their posts are friends-only, it says so rather than looking like they've never posted.
• Comments with an @mention post properly — tapping someone's name inserts it instead of doing nothing.
• Find People keeps showing new faces instead of running out early while there are still people to meet.
• You can edit or delete your own posts — tap ••• on a post you made.
• Tap anyone in a post's likes to open their profile.
• "All" in the sports filter works, and you can switch a sport filter back off.
• Trip lists are easier to find — tap the lists tile on a trip to open them, with a button to make your first one.

ALSO
• Photos and videos in posts use a taller 4:5 frame, so upright shots aren't cropped down.

### 1.4 — 2026-08-05

NEW — LOCAL
A new Local tab pulls together your trips, the events happening near you, and a feed of what people are posting around you. Menu, Local, Friends and People now sit across the top, so the sections you use most are one tap away.

A short welcome film plays when you create your account.

ALSO NEW
• Tag people in your check-ins and activities — there's a Tag button in the composer now.
• Two more skill levels to pick from: Kook and Core Lord.

FIXES
• Messaging someone new now opens the conversation instead of leaving you on their profile, and tapping twice no longer sends duplicates.
• Messages no longer shows a "cancelled" error where your conversations should be, and reloads when you open the tab if something didn't land.
• Adding a video to a check-in no longer leaves you unable to type a caption. Large videos also use far less memory.
• Matching keeps the tab bar, so you can always get back to the rest of the app.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-02

Fixes for issues in the last update.

• Matching no longer traps you. There's now a clear way back out to the rest of the app.
• On someone's profile, the Vibe / Trip / Event buttons are no longer hidden behind the tab bar.
• Matching told people without a birthday on file that there were "no more profiles". It now explains what's needed and lets you add it.
• Finding people is always reachable from Home, even before we have suggestions for you.
• Tapping a post on a profile no longer fails silently.
