### 2/5 — Cluttered and Inaccurate

*2026-06-19, version 1.3.6*

The scanning list continually grows as it rescans all devices within range. Leave the program running and in five minutes you’ll have a list of 1000, mostly repeats. None of the distances are accurate. Most are off by 300 feet. The maps are useless. Tags in my pocket show 7 feet away.

### 5/5 — Impressive! 🏆5️⃣⭐️

*2023-09-13, version 1.3.5*

This is extremely impressive programming!

Works flawlessly.

### 5/5 — Congratulations I found my brain

*2023-02-22, version 1.3.5*

Well, congratulations are in order for this app.
I lost my $300 OURA Fitness ring.
I purchased a total of five Bluetooth direction finding apps.
Blue hound is the only app that found it. I tried all of them.
Blue hound, triangulated and found it in my office trashcan where it slipped off my finger while throwing something away i guess.
The trashcan was even metal, so it was very difficult. None of the other apps found it.
Thanks guys saved me a $300 fitness ring!!

### 5/5 — Direction finder works great

*2022-01-25, version 1.3.5*

Nice work.

### 5/5 — Great

*2021-12-31, version 1.3.5*

I think this app is wonderful!

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2020-09-15, version 1.3.3*

This is useful, I found out when the 50 was near and could track down my biggest hatters.

### 5/5 — BEST APP EVER!

*2020-07-03, version 1.3.2*

I wrote something before but i am revising my review because it actually was a setting on my phone not the app. Anyways, this is by far the best best bluetooth finder app out there and believe me I have literally downloaded them all! The developer is awesome and responded to my email so fast and took the time to explain and troubleshoot the app with me. Truly a well done app and genius developer. Extremely happy with all of it and the direction finder is simply amazing to see it work! Even though it is made for outdoors, it works amazing indoors also! No problems here! Thank you for creating a great app! 10 stars!

### 5/5 — Used together w Tile to find keys lost in lawn.

*2020-05-26, version 1.3.2*

Used together w Tile to find keys lost in lawn.

### 4/5 — Block connections

*2020-01-01, version 1.2.1*

Great, now add the option to block outside device ‘connect’ option. Otherwise this app is not secure. Or hide the user.

### 5/5 — Great .. could use better explanation of map search

*2019-10-16, version 1.2.1*

The app is great. I wish there was a better set of directions. When in map mode it state red means your close. It jumps from 300 feet to 11 a dot turns red . But no signal from device when this happens

Great live the app but the directions are lacking. Would love a video of use and explanation of dot line and all the screen candy

### 4/5 — Great if you need to hunt down a ble device!

*2019-09-23*

Lost expensive footpod out running; tried free apps and although could detect pod I couldn’t close in on it to get a visual. The map and direction “radar” of Blue Hound were instrumental in reuniting me with my $170 pod - well worth the outlay!

### 5/5 — Pleasantly surprised!!!

*2019-08-10, version 1.2.1*

I literally just lost my wireless Powerbeats3 headset and I went into full crisis mode because I panic way faster than the average human.
I looked on the App Store for an app that might be able to help me find them. I thought nothing of that type existed until I found BlueHound. I saw that my iPad and Apple Watch were showing up as devices paired to my phone to be scanned, but not my headset. Then, a listing called Unknown Device appeared. I clicked on it to see the info and it had my exact street address. I pressed the scan button and walked around my house for probably a minute in a half. (Only took that long cause I was figuring out how to use the app which was easy).
After that time of walking around, the app lead me to the exact room that the headset was in. I looked around and turns out the were sitting right in front of me. BLUEHOUND WORKS!!😍💙🐶📱

### 2/5 — Inaccurate distance

*2019-07-20, version 1.2.1*

I bought this app because my buddy wanted to expose some safety awareness to me. I have an iPhone 7+ and he has an iPhone 10. His phone shows many Bluetooth discovered devices with very accurate distances such as my phone right next to his and phones in the next room or even across the street.
Mine only shows devices over 200-300+ feet away so I don’t see the value of using the app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Key Features are Broken

*2025-11-20, version 1.3.6*

The main selling point for me was the directional heatmap and compass indicator. Neither of these work. Also it would be nice if it showed device details like mac address, identifiers, etc.

### 1/5 — Instructions needed

*2024-02-15, version 1.3.6*

Lack of instructions make app hard to understand.

### 1/5 — $1.99

*2024-01-01, version 1.3.6*

For a buck ninety nine I can find the watch I’m wearing yay

### 1/5 — App didn’t even see my local devices.

*2022-06-15, version 1.3.5*

Started scanning with this app. Then started some Bluetooth devices up. The app never even scanned them in. It did however grab my location though. I wonder who its gonna sell that data too.

### 1/5 — of no help

*2022-02-11, version 1.3.5*

bought this app in the hopes of finding a misplaced iphone and bluetooth speaker. But all the app gave me was an incomprehensible map with no explanation of what it meant — in short no help at all and a waste of money.

### 1/5 — Not finding any results

*2019-11-02, version 1.2.1*

It is only showing my device when I search. How do I fix this?

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2019-06-02, version 1.2.1*

Unable to name most devices.
Sitting in front of my TV 9 feet away and it says it’s 168 feet. Same for all devices.

### 1/5 — Worked for a brief moment. 😐

*2019-05-23, version 1.2.1*

It located my Apple Pencil right away and knew that it was paired, which was great, but the map feature couldn’t seem to even locate me and kept telling me the pencil was in the parking lot across the street. That was last night. Today the app won’t even load. 🤦‍♀️

### 1/5 — RB

*2018-11-27, version 1.1.6*

Doesn’t work. Could not find my Fitbit. Used fit bit finder app for free and it found it. Wasted my $1.99. Don’t get suckered in like I did.

### 1/5 — Failed miserably

*2018-10-02, version 1.1.6*

The only device it found was 329 feet away. Probably in my daughters apartment, my grandsons iPad probably. It could not find my Plantronics headset, nor even my iPhone, nor even my Bluetooth scale. Waste of money.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-08-04, version 1.3.6*

This is a cool app and it’s worth the money to purchase with awesome features a bonus

### 5/5 — Worked!

*2026-07-28, version 1.3.6*

In five minutes this app zeroed in on my wife’s lost phone. We knew it was on the property, just didn’t know where it was. Also, it had been turned to airplane mode when we were at a wedding the day before and it still worked. Turned out to be in the car where she folded down one of the back seats on top of it. Once we knew it was in the car. It was just a matter of looking a little harder. Definitely worth the money. 🙏🏼

### 5/5 — functional

*2025-07-26, version 1.3.6*

does what it says, wish you could set parameters and like utilize devices that are scanned, maybe you can though.. anyways it works...

### 5/5 — Cheaper than buying a new fitbit. Pleasantly surprised.

*2025-06-06, version 1.3.6*

Only had 20% power, time was of the essence. I was able to locate it before time ran out.
Now that I’m able to putts around on the app leisurely, I have some thoughts. Learning how to use the app could be more intuitive. I think the app would benefit from a tutorial when you first open it. But other than that minor gripe, I think the app is very well made, and well worth 1.99.

### 5/5 — Found my lost hearing aid

*2025-01-21, version 1.3.6*

Lost my hearing aid in the garden. Spent hours looking for it before I bought the Blue Hound app. Found it in 10 minutes. 😃

### 5/5 — $3,700 hearing aid lost and found—twice

*2025-01-18, version 1.3.6*

On two occasions, I was hit in the side of the head and someone platters realized my hearing aid wasn’t in my ear.

I would never have found them without blue hound. The distance to the object are only indicators (a technology limitation about wireless). However by looking at the map and the distance in both cases I found the hearing aid. The first time it was even hidden under a leaf. This tool is great!

### 5/5 — Buy Once - No Subscription

*2024-02-02, version 1.3.6*

I lost one of my hearing aids and immediately felt like less of a person. It is horrifying to realize that I am one misplaced item away from not being able to function in society.

While I was late for work and panicking, all their apps wanted to make me subscribe for a monthly service. This app had me pay once and then helped me find my most important item.

Thank you so much!!!

### 5/5 — Finding lost e-scooters

*2024-01-18, version 1.3.6*

I was a city launch manager and then regional ops manager for the two big names in the e-scooter industry. As you can imagine, our scooters would end up all over the place and our night crews would go chasing after them based on their last known geolocation. Often times though, those locations were inside buildings, under water, or in private homes and garages. We started verifying that some of our scooters were indeed inside a building in non-accessible and sometimes unsafe locations with Blue Hound. Best part was 98% of city police departments considered the combo of our geolocation and the live Blue Hound data as probable cause and were more than willing to help us recover them.

### 5/5 — Help

*2023-10-15*

I find bluehound very interesting . I have questions about app . ANC’s how can I reach Bluehound? Thank you., Tammy
