Looked for help, followed instructions to the T and no option to renew??? Dev team what are you doing? Can’t you do your jobs and test before hand? This make you look like you don’t give a monkey or your incompetent at doing your job? Very embarrassing for blue light! ### 1/5 — Just does not work *2026-08-22, version 4.31.6* When I started using the app it was great, now just doesn’t work. Have the circle of doom or a black screen with grey boxes. Next to useless really. I tried to raise a ticket through the app and that’s not working either. Uninstalled and installed several times, turned phone off and back on etc and nothing. Have tried reinstalling multiple times, activating and not FaceID, and restarting phone. Try searching for a brand, results often don’t return and when they do, it’s painfully slow. Tested after rebooting the phone, with and without WiFi. The card itself and the discounts it gives are wonderful, but the app is rubbish. Even though I’ve saved the password and username with face recognition and passkey, they don’t work when I try to log in. The app was giving me an error message even though I hadn’t changed my password, so I requested a reset anyways. But when I then tried to log in using my resetted password, it again gave me the same error message of my details being wrong!! I again got locked out within 5 minutes of being in the app. I tried resetting my password again to get back into the account but I have been blocked with another error message. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Broken *2026-08-31, version 4.31.7* This app used to work really well but recently nothing loads on it at all. Looking at other recent reviews it looks like I’m not the only one and the app has been completely broken. ### 1/5 — Poor App *2026-08-30, version 4.31.7* One of the worst apps I have come across, at times it doesn’t open, when it does, it won’t load any pages or sites. However, recently the search function is completely broken. Regardless of wether I’m on WiFi or using data, VPN or not, the search option just isn’t functioning and I am unable to access any deals. This wouldn’t be as big of an issue if most places just accepted the physical card instead of a QR code. Sadly it just renders the entire thing useless. I then re-downloaded and it let me sign in. My card is showing but the home page never loads it’s in a constant loop. Wallet doesn’t load nor does the search load with anything– just my card. Thanks ### 5/5 — Great discounts *2023-11-22* I’m a foster carer and often in the past we’ve been overlooked when it comes to public sector discounts, I’m so pleased that the Blue Light card is available to us. I know a lot of people think that foster carers get a good allowance for what they do but as a single foster carer with three teenage boys I can tell you I often dip into my personal bank account to make sure these lads have what they need and want. The Blue Light card and therefore the generosity of retailers have made life much easier for me to do my job properly, I’m especially grateful for the savings at the food retailers during this cost of living crisis because believe me we’ve had no additional help from the government. Blue Light card has saved me a tidy amount that I’ve been able to put towards the extra little things that always come along. ### 5/5 — Best cash back app for key workers *2023-08-16* The Blue Light Card is very affordable for £5 for 2 years and I decided to subscribe after being recommended by numerous friends. The discounts offered are simply the best I’ve seen - the only app where I can honestly say this has saved me thousands and I like the ease of redeeming rewards - wether online or in-store. My only two requests to improve the app is that the ‘Add to Savings’ feature doesn’t work (it will allow you to enter data but when you go to Savings it shows no data) and that there is no Apple Wallet function - although easily sorted using Stocard. Shanaya, Blue Light Card ### 5/5 — Good service *2022-12-02* I applied for my card Being a veteran I took a photo of my army pension form and driving license and sent it via the app 2 days later got approved and now waiting for my card Hopefully it will come shortly So all in all good service Just to update this review It does say that after payment my blue light card should be sent out within 7 days But I have now been waiting since the 4th November so I would appreciate it if I can get it before Xmas Fingers crossed **Developer response:** Hi, it is fantastic to hear that you are enjoying the discounts and offers! Blue Light Card Team. ### 5/5 — Discrimination *2021-02-15* I work at a NHS Covid Test and Trace centre and BLC was recommended to me and my colleagues as we are front line key workers hoping to benefit from the discounts. Myself and a few others were refused saying we don’t qualify, however other colleagues were successful and are using their BLC. I was told they was awarded in error but are still using their card. I can see BLC rules, however I can’t see an issue of awarding Test and Trace assistants a card and maybe validate it for maybe one year until the pandemic eases. Just a thought. ### 5/5 — Application process *2020-06-15* Absolutely astounded at the lack of understanding of the people processing applications. If unsuccessful you just get a standard message stating that you should reapply and look at the FAQ’s for types of ID. I uploaded a copy of my service pension monthly statement as per requirements only to receive the same standard response about 5 times. Despite me telling them that I am a veteran that retired in 2006, therefore, can’t send a photocopy of my ID nor pay statement valid within the last 3 months because I have neither. Nor a copy of my discharge paperwork. As the only way to contact them is via email the conversation is never clarified. “What have I done wrong?” Ridiculous. A friend recommended the card as I have just bought a house in need of work. So far I have bought egiftcards for John Lewis (3% off) and Currys (6.5%) to buy 3 kitchen items, this was surprisingly easy. A further 2 items were purchased from Hotpoint with 20% off. I would highly recommend the card and discounts. Don’t be afraid of the Edenred vouchers they’re very easy to purchase and use.👍🏻 ### 4/5 — Good but could improve *2026-07-22, version 4.31.0* Shopping cards works well and there are a wide range of deals, however for this reason it would be better if you could bookmark or save a store or deal. Having to type the same shops in repeatedly is annoying, having a favourites list would be great.
