### 2/5 — Abandoned software?

*2024-10-28*

Hasn’t been updated to modern iPad resolution so it doesn’t match newer screens. Hard to navigate when things don’t fit on the screens. Given the lack care building the app this shouldn’t be a paid app.

### 2/5 — 2022 memory issues

*2022-11-02*

I see people have been reporting memory issues for years and I’m just here to say that in late 2022 the app still has frequent crashes due to “low memory”.

### 2/5 — Outdated

*2022-07-23, version 3.10.8*

Super convenient, but only 2 stars due to the app being outdated. Doesn’t fit the full screen if the newer iPad generations. Inconvenient for use on site when reviewing plans.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2021-11-09, version 3.10.5*

I’m a designer at an architecture firm. This app is useless. I cannot upload drawings from the files I save on my iPad from my emails, I must upload them from my computer first, which defeats the purpose of having a floor plan markup app.. I might as well do it in the computer if I must go through an extra hoop to get the drawings on the app to mark up. Bluebeam on the cpu is gods gift, but this app is nowhere close.

### 1/5 — Super Glitchy

*2021-10-28, version 3.10.5*

Crashes constantly and has responsiveness issues when trying to use with Studio. Would love to use Bluebeam on my iPad more, but have had to retreat to my Windows laptop for reliable Bluebeam.

### 2/5 — Update is needed

*2021-07-08*

Works relatively well but slow and doesn’t scale to fit the iPad Pro 12.9” screen.

### 1/5 — Vue

*2021-04-07, version 3.10.4*

Constant crashing, will not upload prints. Wasting man hours relying on this

### 3/5 — Display ratio adaptation of iPad Pro 2020

*2021-02-25, version 3.10.2*

Is the display ratio adapted for iPad Pro 2020

### 1/5 — 0 Stars

*2021-02-18, version 3.10.2*

Can’t even navigate to One Drive to open file. What a joke.

### 1/5 — Login to studio crashes app

*2020-10-26, version 3.10*

Since your update 6 days ago I can no longer use this app. Please fix ASAP.

Studio login crashes app. iPad Air 1st gen. was working perfectly until the update. I submit the error report

### 1/5 — App crashes when starting the measurement tool

*2020-10-22, version 3.10*

Pressing the orange triangle to access the measurement toolbar crashes the App. Tried deleting and re loading. Same problem... help!!! Problem started today. App has worked flawlessly for over two years before this problem...

### 1/5 — Lack of Development

*2020-08-29*

At this point, development of this app is an absolute joke. This is a perfect example of a company who’s become complacent with their product. You’ve failed to update the UI of this app to work with newer iPads. The interface is old and bulky and should have been updated with the release of 2019 Interface. Still isn’t truly compatible with Apple Pencil. The list could go on.

Looking forward to a competitor to develop a better product with cross device support. Start using the enormous license fees from the desktop offering to push the mobile platform along.

### 2/5 — So slow and crashes

*2020-06-02*

I really like the lay out but this app is horrible with crashing. Every time I get on it it takes forever to do anything and then it crashes. Please fix.

### 2/5 — Nothing special

*2020-02-19*

I don’t see a use for this app. You can view pdf’s, big whoop. If I have bluebeam on my PC I think this app should be free. It would encourage me to use bluebeam even more, if it was useful across platforms.

I’m sure this app will eventually become useful, there’s a lot of potential.

No OneDrive integration
No integration with with my PC Bluebeam account

### 1/5 — Can’t access PDF on my iPad.

*2020-01-30, version 3.9.9*

Looks like I have to sign up or use a cloud based storage to access PDFs.

i could not access the PDFs on my iPad. I tried the PDFs stored in the document file folder, iBooks, etc.

Useless

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not as good as Bluebeam revu the older version of this app.

*2025-12-15*

It seems the only way to edit drawings is to be in a session. The older version I could open pdf files and edit. That makes this app totally useless unless you use it with a subscription. Please change this!!!

**Developer response:** Hi lepa2500. Try the new Bluebeam iOS app, also known as Bluebeam Cloud. You’ll be able to edit drawings in Sessions, check in new Studio Project file revisions, or edit your own personal files. You can do all of this without a subscription today. Vu for iPad and Revu for iPad will be retired in the coming weeks due to outdated technology. Thanks for the feedback.

### 1/5 — Not worth downloading

*2025-04-11, version 3.10.17*

I spent 25 minutes trying to figure out how to access my files that are stored on my iPad and iCloud account. I couldn’t access my files. If it’s this hard to add files, I don’t want it.
I deleted it already.

### 1/5 — Bad

*2025-01-13, version 3.10.16*

If I could give negative stars I would. This is not good (garbage).

### 1/5 — Frequent crashes and memory issues

*2024-07-25*

The app is not capable of handling typical drawing sets and suffers from constant memory issues and software crashes.

### 1/5 — It doesn’t work.

*2024-04-02*

I’m serious. It just doesn’t work. Connect to bluebeam server, then ten seconds later it disconnects because “connection lost”. Can’t even download one pdf. Before you ask, I’m on fiber with 170mbit download.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time

*2023-08-11, version 3.10.11*

This app does not recognise the password attached to the account it also not syncing up with studio is very problematic. Don’t go near this app
To help, Support is basically non-existent as a very poor service

### 1/5 — Vaporware at this Point

*2023-08-10*

It is no longer being updated or supported by Bluebeam. Doesn’t offer access to many of iOS new features and still runs like it’s on a early 2010s iPad.

### 1/5 — Useless from the start

*2023-07-18, version 3.10.11*

Can’t even open a pdf from iPad itself. Useless from the start.

### 1/5 — Outdated, incompatible with new iPad gesture control

*2022-07-15, version 3.10.8*

Application interface interferes with modern iPadOS gestures. There is a grab bar in the Revu app which requires dragging up from the bottom. Attempting to do so is futile as iPadOS has priority and will minimize the app instead.

### 1/5 — Strongly Dislike App

*2021-12-10*

When using this strongly disliked app everyday for work to make a living, it crashes and tells me that I don’t have enough memory as well. Which is not the case because I have plenty. Gets very discouraging to use because I know in a matter of minutes that I will have to do everything all over again and again and again and again. Take the time to read our reviews and make your product / app better because guys like me use this app daily to make a living and you are making it difficult to do so.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works for me

*2023-12-15*

I use this free app in conjunction with the extreme version for desktop as a heavy civil PM. I haven’t had any problems with the app for the last 5 years, but that’s just me. All I use (or need) is the search, bookmarks, page view, and the ability to see my desktop markups. Saves me from carrying 7 sets of plans and specs everywhere everyday. I wish I could sync with the desktop app instead of having to use the cable and overwrite the files manually, but oh well. Seems like every other app or program we use requires a super secret propriety account annual subscription needing internet and IT everywhere you go… I’m glad this app just flat out works.

### 5/5 — Don’t be cheap buy Bluebeam Revu

*2018-06-23*

Why waste time with this app?
If you have the need for type of apps , that means you make good $$$!

Just buy Bluebeam Revu app, it works great for me.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2012-03-27, version 1.10*

I have been waiting for Bluebeam to create an app. Bluebeam Vu has a similar look and feel as Bluebeam Revu (Windows) and I hope they plan on creating a version that can markup and edit PDFs.

### 5/5 — Very fast and easy

*2012-03-27, version 1.10*

It opens files quickly and is very easy to use.

### 4/5 — Improving

*2020-02-22, version 3.9.10*

Seems to be improving in early 2020. Works well with Bluebeam Studio, with smooth navigation and fast rendering in large and complex PDF files.

### 4/5 — Almost there

*2012-06-26, version 1.10*

I was under the impression that I could use the iPad bluebeam app to mark up the PDF files. Its a nice app but that ability would just complete it. Only being able to look at job site drawings with it isn't too useful. I need the ability to make alterations with it. Hopefully that's next on the list of things to do.

### 4/5 — Good start

*2012-04-02, version 1.10*

This is very good for free app.
We looking forward to see full version to do PDF mark-up served from either MAC or PC and be able to save back on local wireless network. Then we can use iPad as a tablet PC in Architectural & Engineering works.

### 3/5 — Needs Updating

*2023-10-06*

Works fine for viewing PDF’s but the interface is really clunky and looks like it was made for the first iPhone with its old icons. A major overhaul would be much appreciated, I’m sure they would get a lot more users.

### 3/5 — Not as bad as everyone says - still needs a lot of improvement

*2023-08-14*

This app works pretty okay, in terms of making light markups on iPad. That being said i think it needs some basic overhauls. Firstly, there’s no way to create a new blank PDF document this would be incredibly handy for making a simple sketch, but is completely absent. Secondly, going off my first comment there’s no way to add to or modify session/ project documents it appears you can only contribute via markups. Thirdly, the Apple Pencil double touch settings don’t appear to work and there’s no setting to incorporate it, and the markup tools need more of the desktop support/ functionality like editing text & other document editing features available on desktop. I think if these could be incorporated into this app it would be significantly better app in terms of usability and functionality.

### 3/5 — Crash

*2021-12-08*

Crashed about 3times shortly after saying it’s taking up too much memory. Fine otherwise
