### 1/5 — Works badly or not at all

*2025-01-07*

It sometimes wont let you login, doesn’t show packages that you got texts for, endless annoyances. I stopped using it pretty soon after getting it because it doesnt work. Its a million times easier to just put in the code from texts. I saw a notification just now and decided to give it another try. Can’t login with correct password. Can’t reset password. It’s just useless.

### 1/5 — Entire System is Worst I’ve Seen

*2024-11-08*

As someone who works in the Property Management industry, I was initially pleased when I heard my own building was installing parcel lockers. I have personally installed several different “brands” of these lockers, but had not heard of BlueBox.

This automated parcel lockers brand is as basic as it comes, and the boxes continually malfunction. More than once per week, one of my packages is stuck in the machine and it needs to be manually opened by the concierge team. It offers none of the convenience advertised.

The app is garbage - great that ads were reduced from 20 seconds to 3 seconds, but why should I have ads at all? I don’t want to see ads for BlueBox cleaning. BlueBox was already paid for the units but property management. I shouldn’t have to sit through that. There is a big ad on the front of the boxes as well advertising BlueBox cleaning. Seriously?

And this system itself is the least secure I have seen. Just last week, my code was ALSO sent to another resident who retrieved my package and took it home. Thankfully my concierge team worked above and beyond to rescue my package, but I was baffled that this could happen. Very disappointed in the safety and security of this system.

Needless to say, I would never recommend this product and will never be installing it in any property that I oversee.

### 1/5 — Trash

*2024-10-30, version 2.3.5*

I usually never write app reviews but this app is so bad that I had to write this. The long ads that other reviewers mentioned, the fact that the app constantly crashes, etc.

### 1/5 — I resent the unavoidable Ad, inconsistent functionality

*2024-10-11, version 2.3.1*

I've given up using this app - when I get a text about a delivery I just manually put in the texted code to retrieve my item; that long ad before the app opens is inexcusable, seriously!

### 1/5 — Trashy

*2024-10-09, version 2.3.1*

They hold your package hostage unless you view a 20 second unskippable ad. Every. Single. Time.

Very trashy behaviour for what's supposed to be a premium product you already pay for via condo fees.

### 1/5 — Why is there a 30sec ad on launch?

*2024-10-08, version 2.3.1*

Why is there a 30sec ad on launch? I just want to collect my parcels. Please. Pleeeeeease remove the ad or move it somewhere else. It’s such a bad flow and a bad user experience right now.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2024-10-07, version 2.3.1*

App won’t open

### 1/5 — 20-second ad

*2024-10-07, version 2.3.1*

This is by far the most annoying app to use. It was bad enough it used to be a shorter time to view an ad, but to force a 20 second ad time is ridiculous. Please fix ASAP. There is no need to have a 20 second ad for a cleaning service which no one cares about, in fact it makes me never want to purchase / hire their products / services. FIX THIS 😡

### 1/5 — Terrible App for a Good Service

*2024-10-07, version 2.2.1*

I love the service itself as it makes deliveries much easier and more secure for my building. But this app is a bit of joke. Why would I have to see a 20+ seconds ad every time I need to unlock a box to pick up my parcel?! After the ad finally finishes, deliveries don’t always show up, and when they do, it’s super slow for unlock requests to work. Unless you really hate to touch the panel, just use codes to unlock and skip this terrible app.

### 1/5 — Unusable since IOS 18

*2024-10-06, version 2.2.1*

App crashes as soon as it's opened. Needs to be upgraded.

### 1/5 — Impossible to use with iOS 18

*2024-10-06, version 2.2.1*

Worst experience to retrieve parcels in condo. On top of that, it does not work with iOS 18 so now I have a few parcel I cannot get

### 1/5 — Waste of an app

*2024-09-29, version 2.2.1*

App immediately opens to an ad for its own product that can’t be skipped. Sign up process buggy and took multiple attempts. I originally looked forward to our building getting Bluebox but this app has single-handedly changed my mind.

### 1/5 — GOOD IDEA BUT DOES NOT WORK

*2024-09-27, version 2.2.1*

My building started using BlueBox to prevent theft and I love everything about the idea BUT THE APP DOES NOT WORK. It worked for a few months after I signed up (sign up process was awfully difficult, had to try multiple times for the buttons on the app to respond to requests) however, now it the app crashes before I can even log in. The app is unusable. I just use BlueBox by entering the code manually.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2024-09-25, version 2.2.1*

Doesn’t open after iOS 18.

Honestly doesn’t matter since the forced 30 second ads make it no more efficient than just punching in the code on the screen.

Shame, since it was a perfectly convenient app on paper.

### 1/5 — Plays an ad and crashes — literally unusable

*2024-09-25, version 2.2.1*

As the title says

### 1/5 — IOS 18 CRASH

*2024-09-25, version 2.2.1*

I constantly order stuff online and the app was alright didn’t have any issues but after ios 18 update the app keeps crashing on me and causing a lot of inconvenience for me the developers needs to update the app for the IOS 18 because this is not good

### 1/5 — Ads, no connections and crashes

*2024-09-22, version 2.2.1*

If you love waiting in front of a crowded collection box area while a 20 second ad shows for a housecleaning service, then this app is for you. Even better when your delivery doesn’t show up in the app afterwards and you get logged out. This is on the latest and greatest iPhone with full 5G internet access. Terrible experience.

### 1/5 — App is total garbage

*2024-09-22, version 2.2.1*

Love the convenience of the lockers, but app is totally unusable. Crashes when launched and will not let me do a password reset. Being forced to watch irrelevant advertisements just to pick up my deliveries is super annoying!

### 1/5 — App keeps crashing

*2024-09-21, version 2.2.1*

It doesn’t work on since update to ios18

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Fundamentally non functional

*2026-08-25*

Every step of the process is glitchy and does not work. Creating an account: riddled with errors. Account created and logging back in? Somehow number and password don’t match. For the brief time I was able to get in: I didn’t receive notifications despite notifications being on. Now my building did a purge of packages. Did I have something? Probably… but this app didn’t notify me. Utter garbage.

### 1/5 — Horrible Idea and Horrible Support. App is absolutely useless.

*2026-06-09*

My building has one on the ground level and everytime a package gets in their compartments, it takes a couple days until I get a code to open it. This all happens without my consent, and I have no way of stopping it, unless the delivery driver reads my specific notes to leave the package with the concierge. I’ve started emailing every shipper, right after ordering anything, that in no circumstance I want them to put it in the blue box compartment!
The only use for the app is getting in touch with the support to beg them to give you the code to open the compartment with your package… just opt out if you can and never use this company’s compartments.

### 1/5 — Inferior and buggy

*2026-01-28*

Inferior service and slow. We used to have Snaile but management switched to this no-name software and company. Remote opening is super slow and unlike Snaile couriers won't use the service because it takes longer and more steps to deposit parcels. Registration issues common. Not recommended. Don't use this company.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations.

Regarding parcel deposits, our system supports multiple deposit methods, including unit-based and phone-number-based deposits, depending on the building’s configuration and management preferences. Requiring the recipient’s phone number to be entered twice is an intentional design choice to reduce human error and prevent misdelivery, which has been a common issue in parcel locker systems across the industry.

While this adds one extra confirmation step, it significantly improves delivery accuracy and reduces resident complaints and manual corrections for building staff.

We also continuously work with couriers to ensure the workflow is efficient, and many carriers appreciate the clearer on-screen guidance and error prevention. If a specific building is experiencing delays or adoption issues, our support team is always available to work directly with management to optimize the setup.

We take registration and performance issues seriously and actively address them through regular updates and direct customer support. If you’re open to it, we encourage you or your building management to contact us so we can investigate and improve the experience.

We appreciate the feedback and remain committed to providing a reliable, user-friendly system with responsive customer service.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2025-08-30, version 2.3.29*

Did not receive my amazon order as I did not receive any code from bluebox. Amazon showed picture of the item being placed in the box. The app gives you an option to create a ticket but the “City” is greyed out so it would not go through as it supposed to be a required field.

### 1/5 — Too slow

*2025-06-22, version 2.3.29*

Even on WiFi, it takes so long to load that you may as well just use the SMS they send you. Useless.

### 1/5 — Flakey app

*2025-06-07, version 2.3.29*

Very unstable app and zero customer support you got a call and there’s always a mailbox is full

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2025-02-22, version 2.3.17*

Downloaded the app as my condo has installed this system, asked again and again for a verification code to set up the account. Nothing has arrived at all. So things are arriving that I can’t pick up. Great

### 1/5 — Notifications

*2025-02-21, version 2.3.17*

Amazon says a package was delivered, but BlueBox doesn’t notify me very buggy

### 1/5 — Watch ads on a paid service!!

*2025-02-03, version 2.3.11*

1 word description “terrible”. My building got bluebox to collect parcels. It forces me to watch ads before I can collect my own parcel. This is a paid service provided by our building’s strata corp, so why am I being subjected to unnecessary ads? It feels like a waste of time and completely defeats the purpose of a convenience service. The whole process is intrusive and annoying – I just want to pick up my package without having to sit through advertisements. A huge disappointment for a service that should be straightforward and hassle-free.

### 1/5 — Why do I need to watch Ads to get my package ?

*2025-01-16, version 2.3.11*

Why do I need to watch Ads to get my package ?
Open the app and watch 3-5 second ad to login to get package. The screen in lockers also has ads. Why are we then paying for this service just to be fed ads to get our mail ?
Half the time the app doesn’t even show the delivery. Or tells you the compartment is opened when clearly I am standing in front of it and it’s not. The “compartment didn’t open button” does nothing.

## Most praised reviews (5 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very easy to use

*2024-01-18, version 1.2.1*

It is very straightforward, easy to understand, and, pretty stable so far

### 5/5 — A pretty good app

*2024-01-15, version 1.2.1*

Very simple and straightforward app, and helped me to skip the line to get my packages in seconds

### 2/5 — Doesn’t work half the time

*2024-12-21*

You’d think an app in charge of managing your personal packages would strive for 100% uptime but not BlueBox. Will often completely break for many days at a time and you won’t be able to get your packages. At least they stopped forcing you to watch a 16 second add each time you opened the app! this is clearly run by someone who wants money without providing service

### 2/5 — Only works half the time

*2023-09-27, version 0.9.13*

I want to love the convenience of this map, but unfortunately it only works half the time.

1. Issues logging in. I use face recognition to log in. When it works, it’s quick and easy. However, sometimes it attempts to log in and just goes right back to the login screen. I’ll enter my info manually and it stills doesn’t let me log in. (I have full connection, not using WiFi)

2. I’ll receive a message that a parcel has been dropped off. I’ll log into the app and it doesn’t show anything. I’ll refresh the app a few times, and still nothing. Of course I can enter the code provided, but the defeats the entire purpose of having the app.

### 2/5 — Can’t create profile

*2022-12-20, version 0.5.6*

No matter what I do the app will not let me passed the “save and create” last stage. We have these boxes now at our building and I would like to use them. I have been trying for 4 days now deleting the app, reloading it, restarting my phone….Are there specific stipulations for the password that aren’t noted? Very frustrated.
