It also doesn’t expand fully on my iPad 13” not display pages counts correctly Hopefully this is fixed quickly as the is my go to app for reading and it’s always been the best one out there . ### 2/5 — Blocage et répétitions *2026-01-27, version 4.0.6* L’application bloque souvent En plus, le texte se répète sur deux pages assez souvent. Je pense choisir une autre application ### 4/5 — Finally, an ebook ready that does almost everything! *2025-11-27, version 4.0.6* This ebook reader is brilliant. It is easy to use, has a nice layout and several options to catalogue things as you want to. It would have been a 5* review but it doesn’t have the ability to download missing book covers. Apart from that, it is the best ebook reader/ catalogue that I have used and with a not massively inflated price, it is worth every penny. ### 2/5 — No Apple ID sign-in *2025-07-05, version 4.0.6* I sign in to Adobe with Apple ID, so cannot sign in to Bluefire. Also the reader seems quite rough and basic. Same books works on old IPad. I wonder why. ### 4/5 — Needs global settings *2024-11-28, version 4.0.6* Nice UI, plenty of configurable options, and it’s compatible with Adobe’s DRM (the one that most libraries use). The big issue with this one is there’s no standard font size, so one book might open with fonts at 4pt and the next might be at 20pt. I ruins the app. I haven’t seen this issue on other ebook apps. The buttons to make the font larger or smaller are both relative and global, so there’s no way (that I’ve found) to have the app display books according to pre-set preferences. Another issue, which is common with ebook apps, is that is displays hyperlinked text in dark blue, which makes it hard to read in dark mode. It should have a option to format hyperlinked text normally, or with a user-set format. Importantly, it works on older iOS devices. Lastly I think the page slide animation is harsh compared to competing apps. I think this could use some attention. Despite those complaints this is my epub reader of choice. ### 4/5 — Utile mais plein de bogs *2024-09-25, version 4.0.6* Tellement de bogs en faire la liste commencerait comme suit: Par moment impossible d’ouvrir un livre téléchargé même après réouvert l’app ou après avoir fait un reset à de multiples reprises Plusieurs fois vraiment plusieurs fois impossible de tourner les pages en glissant Un ovale étrange colle sur la page et empêche de lire une partie du texte L’app perd la page et ouvre au début. This apps biggest pros are its adobe drm compatibility and not being owned by amazon. That’s pretty much it. Up until the most recent update, everything worked, even if it was a pretty clunky user experience, somewhat unstable and prone to freaking out and loosing your entire library (has happened to me multiple times over the years). However, the search function was broken by the most recent update. Which is EXTREMELY annoying. Given that this app is rarely updated and seems mostly abandoned by its developers, it’s pretty unlikely it will be fixed anytime soon. It’s a pretty rubbish app, but the only one with adobe crm, and one of only a few decent readers not owned by Amazon or Apple.🤷🏻‍♀️ ### 1/5 — Almost unusable with some books *2026-04-10, version 4.0.6* There is apparently no functionality to increase the font size. Which on my iPad is tiny. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times. ### 1/5 — Was a good app, no longer updated *2025-07-21, version 4.0.6* Used to use BFR for everything but it lost a whole lot of my books and metadata when the app crashed a couple of years back and now the books in it show as there in iTunes but not there in the app on the iPad. One by one the books seem to fall out of the BFR interface. It’s just not a reliable app anymore. I moved to using Marvin when it was around but now I use Yomu. It’s reliable and constantly updated and does all the formats well. Plus the developer is very responsive to requests. ### 1/5 — No TTS or Read Aloud support *2025-02-19, version 4.0.6* I bought this trying to get my libby DRM ebooks to be read as an audiobook. There are books I read, there are I didn’t read at all and there are that I keep referring to again and again. That’s where Bluefire comes in handy, highlights for quick review, notes etc. I wish the team all the very best. ### 5/5 — Fabulous! *2025-08-20, version 4.0.6* The Borrowbox app only allows sign in for one UK public library at a time, but this Bluefire app allows downloads from several at a time and, unlike Adobe digital, the downloads can be done directly to an iPad from the library’s web page, without the need to use a computer. At last, all my library books from 3 different libraries in one place and the options for text size and general appearance are great.
